Hickory Smoked Bacon, Caramelized Onions
Sullivan’s has some of the best food in Baton Rouge, and I would highly recommend going at least once. You won’t be disappointed!
Side items were ice cold, steaks were good
The food was amazing!
Bisque was cold, it came out after the entrees.. ordered ice tea, never got it… the 1 side we ordered came after we were 1/2 way done with the entrees… poor waitress got triple sat at 5pm.. felt sorry for her and tipped her a ton… they have work to do though
Sadly, Sullivan’s Steakhouse is not what it used to be… at least for lunch. The steak was so thin it resembled a pork chop. Cocktails & service were great, but it was completely dead the entire lunchtime.
The service was absolutely top notch!! We had the martini they infuse with pineapple (I think it’s pineapple) and it was delicious. The calamari was also really good. Our steaks were a bit undercooked, but overall everything was very tasty. Great experience!
I have been a loyal Sullivan's customer since I worked there. This place has gone to hell in a hand basket. The hostess was wearing a flannel top and jeans, majority of the people working were not in uniform. The first table we were placed at was broken, and it took a bit of complaining to get moved. Once moved it took a while for our server to come. She was quite nice. Our soups and salads never came. We had to ask for them after we had received our entrees. Our bar drinks were mediocre at best. My entree was the crab stuffed shrimp and came with 5 tiny shrimp- no bigger than silver dollars even after stuffed for $38. Once we did get the lobster bisque it was straight broth. No lobster or shrimp in it. It took quite a while to get our check and pay. For what you are paying for a meal, you expect excellence. This was about as excellent as an outback visit. I know my manager would have NEVER allowed any of the things we experienced last night. This place has been falling from grace for sometime, but this was the final nail in the coffin for me. It was an absolute circus last night. And what I can assume is the manager, also looked completely disheveled in a mismatched outfit with her green jacket hanging off her shoulder. We won't be back. As much as I hate to say it, this was my last visit. This place used to ooze grace and class and now its got about as much class as an Applebee's. I should have known how bad it was going to be when the staff was wearing jeans and flannel at the front door.
I enjoyed the food at Sullivan’s everything was amazing. Glad I celebrated my birthday there last night it was fun.
Appetizers were so so such as the pork belly, crab cake and egg rolls. We did not enjoy the beef Wellington bites. The puff pastry was alright and the concept was a great idea but the execution was disappointing. We didn’t even ate all of the beef Wellington (such a waste of money)
Main Course were good. The sea bass was a delight, the ribeye temperature was spot on. The shrimps were a good light meal.
Sides were alright but we were not too thrilled with the three cheese mac and cheese.
Dessert: vanilla ice cream was good as it is not too sweet and that key lime pie was spot on.
It was a good first time experience as our server was attentive.
Overall it is okey but not too memorable for me to want to go back there anytime soon.
Fantastic service as always.
Very good experience.
Not good, I will not return. My steak not only came out burnt but was 1 hour late getting to the table. $50.00-dollar 16 oz steak was thin as paper and as black as coal. I was afraid to send back as it took this long to get our order. I ask for 2 shrimp cocktails received 1. Ordered a Keylime pie got a slice of cheesecake. Had to ask for my baked potato when the order came. lobster bisque had no Lobster, just the broth. All for a total bill of $250.00 dollars. Ruth Chris next time. Should had believed the previous reviews. Not happy
It took 10 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. Drinks took 20 minutes to arrive. Server was very friendly. Food was decent. Manager was wearing jeans and a hat. You would expect a more upscale dining experience for the price.
Service was good, but food took a long time to arrive even thought the restaurant was empty. The food that arrived was incorrect and cold. We will not be going back.
Family Christmas Lunch- amazing food as always! Best steak in town and love the Cajun butter!!!
I've never been served a Ribeye so thin before. I thought it was a joke when they were set down on our table. 100% was not 16 oz, nor was it acceptable that a steak house served that piece of meat. I've never even purchased a ribeye that thin from the grocery store. It's hard to put into words to portray just how thin the steak was.
Hunter was our server and he was amazing.
Great service. Everything was exceptional.
Everything was perfect
Charity, our server, did a magnificent job making a special occasion really special. We hadn’t been to Sullivan’s in a few years because it’s food quality & atmosphere had gone down. However, we thought we’d experiment & give it another try. We were pleasantly surprised that under new management it has been transformed into the great restaurant it used to be. I can now give Charity & Sullivan’s my highest recommendation!
Great service and excellent food quality and taste.
It was my wife’s birthday, Brooke went over the top to make sure our experience was exceptional. The wagyu was out of stock but she recommended an off menu porterhouse cooked to medium rare, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. We will be back.
We were looking for a delicious steak, with delicious sides and desserts, and we found it.
Service & meal was very good
Service exceptional especially since so crowded
With many Christmas parties
The experience, service, and food was great
Mitchell was our waiter and was very attentive to our needs, he did a great job. The steak was cooked just the way we ordered it and tasted great. Victoria, his supervisor also checked in on us occasionally to make sure things were going well. After dinner we stepped in the bar for a drink where Vinny and Mikel(sp) took great care of us, they were both knowledgeable in their craft. Vinny and I had an informative conversation on bourbon and there are two more that I’ll need to add to my collection. Their supervisor came in later and was a pleasure to talk to. Since we don’t live in Baton Rouge it’s been a while to Sullivan’s. After our visit this time though we’ll be stopping in more frequently, even if to just say hi and have a drink.
Service was slow and food was way overpriced for the food tasted.
First, let me say that the folks at Sullivan's are trying hard. However, when we went for a Holiday lunch, they were clearly understaffed and what staff they had was inexperienced. I had a reservation, but getting seated did not go smoothly. We were there for lunch, but had to ask for the lunch menu. Salads were served, but pepper lagged behind. Similarly, coffee was served but sweeteners did not arrive until later. These are all small things, but they detract from the dining experience.
The food was a mixed bag. All the dishes were cooked very nicely and arrived at the proper temperature/doneness. However, both the main courses and the sides were all well over salted. It is far better to under salt and let people add salt if necessary.
I've been to Sullivan's many times in the past, although not recently due to the pandemic etc. The ambiance is fine for general dining. However, I was disappointed that the dining room was not more festively decorated for the Holidays. I suspect many people are like me and kick things up a notch to celebrate the Holidays. It would have been nice if the dining room had had a more festive atmosphere.
I think a lot of my concerns are related to the current labor shortage in the hospitality industry. So I'm not writing Sullivan's off. But I will wait a bit before I give them another try.
Food was ok but not memorable. Service is average. My biggest issue is in a top tier Resturant why to staff feel it’s ok to interrupt conversations — you don’t have to talk to pour water or bring bread …. It’s not about you we are dining for our please. Just be seen and not heard unless your asked!
I’ve been to Sullivans several time and my experience is always enjoyable! However, this most recent visit was OUTSTANDING! The food was the best it’s ever been and our service was flawless! My group and I left very full and happy!
Zar was an amazing server. Unparalleled in attentiveness and friendliness.
Usually don’t have a problem here, but this time the steak was extremely overcooked and dry. Let the waiter know and they offered to give me a new steak. They also comped my drink. I would go again. They were just busy.
Awesome meal. Amy was our server and she was great. She took the time to explain how any dish we wanted was made and offered to alter it any way to our liking. Amy is awesome. The food is great. 10 out of 10. We will come back again. - Devin Jones
Our server was outstanding
It was low-key and relaxing. Good food and good service. I would go again and recommend it to others as well.
My husband and I had a great dinner at Sullivan's Steak house. It is a hour and a half from our home. We have always had a great experience and the entire atmosphere is
always great for dinner.
Our waiter was excellent!!
Excellent service and ambiance. The food was plentiful and prepared well. Always enjoy eating here.
The initial seating and service was good. Then our server would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. The appetizer was great. The entree took a long time to arrive, and when it did the only item on the plate that was hot was a cranberry compote. The rest of the entree (for both myself and my guest) was room temperature at best. It was delicious but not hot; not even warm. It took so long to put in the order, receive the appetizer, then receive the entrees that I didn't complain; I was just hungry at that point and wanted to e
The food is amazing! All of the staff are very friendly and the service was great. Will definitely be coming back!
The food was great and Louise was a great sever.
