Excellent food and service, great atmosphere (except for the setting sun reflecting off the public library windows and blinding me!). Prices are reasonable (although the $100 market price for lobster was a bit much). It is one of our “go-to” restaurants.

This was our 3rd time at Stock Hill. Always such a treat as the food is excellent. I typically don't opt for steak when dining out but I definitely make an exception here. Highly recommend the dry aged ribeye. Best steak I've every had. Although the food is excellent and worth every penny, be ready for an expensive meal. Total bill after tax and tip for 3 (with a few drinks) was $300.

Excellent dinner. We were there to celebrate a birthday and everyone treated us so well and made sure the event was recognized. We had excellent drink suggestions and a fabulous meal. The food was delicious, but more importantly, the experience was wonderful and we were taken care of very well!

At our 4 top, we had 3 different steaks and 1 lobster tail, and a variety of sides. Let's tackle the steaks first. One dry-aged ribeye was prepared perfectly. One wagyu ribeye was nearly over in doneness but had chunks of gristle running through it. One prime filet (7 oz) was also on the done side. We all had salads and the 2 caesars were good as well as the wedge, however, the SH salad that was brought was underdressed. The sides ordered were baked potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms. The mushrooms were claimed to be the highlight of the meal by the guest with the wagyu ribeye, however, I found them disappointing as they were not advertised to have onions in them, just a mushroom blend, and this order came out with significant amounts of onion in it. The baked potatoes were great, and the green beans were under blanched by about 2 minutes. In a pre-covid era, some of these issues could have been resolved by the wait staff, however, it looked pretty lean and we cut them some slack over that. Overall, the bar service was good, a bit high for a pour of Knob Creek 12, but otherwise a good selection. I might give them 6 months and another shot, but I'm not sure at this point. Our server was busting her tail with all of her tables and did a good job based on the number of tables she was serving.

We were excited to try Stock Hill because the reviews were very good. I’m not sure if our waitress was too busy, but she came by 3 times total. She seemed to see us with an empty drink and walked past us. We only got one drink because she only came by once to take our order and then not again until she gave us our check. I’ve never had an experience like this where it seemed like we were being purposely ignored.

They have live music, but it is not overpowering.
The service was outstanding. It was busy, and our server stayed very mindful of us.
The prime ribeye was prepared perfectly. Do not skip dessert!

Normally one of my favorite KC restaurants (and have given them glowing ratings in the past)--most recent dinner was a complete frustration---poor server with a terrible attitude (my daughter described her as very transactional--this was spot on and if you didn't move quickly enough, she didn't like it). Rushed us to order dinner, but assured us she would time things. Main course arrived three bites into our appetizers. Manager saw this and offered to hold the entrees for us--when they were brought back the sides were all cold, as were the steaks. They offered to reheat one of the two steaks--by the time those returned I was totally done with my meal and all the sides were now cold. Asked for new ones--they offered new mashed potatoes, nothing else. Manager stopped by to offer somewhat of an apology and they wrote off one steak. Just really felt like this was so far below experiences I have had in the past there--it was a failure on all fronts and not what one expects when spending $100+ per person. I'll likely go back, but not any time soon.

Greeted us when we walked in with a happy Anniversary - loved this. The card and flowers on the table were a nice touch but the card read “happy birthday.”

Server forgot my butter for the steak ($$extra). Forgot my 2nd drink. Told us there would be live music - no music. Forgot a soup spoon. Double dessert (not a terrible complaint but someone didn’t communicate). They did comp a drink - thank you! They did apologize.

We’ll come back but for the $$, the expectation is very high. Server got caught up on the bigger tables and not the small guys like us.

We ordered our steaks well done and they turned out burnt on the side and tasted like charcoal. Not what I would expect for a $50-70 steak. Redeeming factor was the service. Our waiter Jacob was attentive and gave great recommendations. We had the dulce Le che for dessert. It was too sweet and not what i expected to be. Disappointing first time!

We went to Stock Hill for our anniversary. It was a great experience from the moment we walked in. There was a card on our table congratulating us on our anniversary as well as champagne. Braden was very personable and took great care of us. The food was delicious!

The restaurant is lovely, attentive and professional wait staff who were spread a bit thin (I know it's difficult to get servers these days!). The food was very good, steaks are fantastic, but ridiculously priced; salads large and tasty; sides, are delicious, particularly the truffled mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Recommend the Seafood Risotto dish and Pork Saltimbocca. Desserts: bread pudding good but arrived in a puddle of melted ice cream, chocolate torte was gooey and rich but a bit too dense; the lemon cake was the best! Cocktails were inventive and expertly done; our favorite part of the evening, aside from the solid gold steaks :) They offer an expensive but interesting "tower of seafood" starter that included lobster, shrimp, oysters, and crab meat. We had a problem with the crab which was sitting on a bed of crushed ice; we had to dig through the ice to get all the tasty morsels! Maybe put it on a dish????
