The restaurant was founded in 2023 by owner Stella Spanu, a Boulder local. Honoring her Italian heritage and embracing her passion for food and hospitality, Spanu’s philosophy is to have a dining experience that stimulates all senses by incorporating visual art, design, music, premier service, comfortable seating and fresh, authentic Italian cuisine. The space, an Art Deco inspiration, was conceptualized and built by architect Miguel Quismondo.

Stella's is showcasing a world-class menu, highlighting traditions from all over Italy, with house-made pastas with imported ingredients directly from Italy, and locally sourced ingredients from Colorado farms. The menu is accompanied by an extensive selection of Italian wines and specialty cocktails.

Friday and Saturday, after dinner service, the space will transform into a lounge with a dance floor with a state-of-the-art sound system, while guests are encouraged to enjoy beverages, the dance floor, and a wide variety of music.

Have enjoyed eating at Stella a few times, but last night’s meal was not up to standards. Service was lacking without good explanations of menu items and a few miscommunications. Additionally, we were not sat until 28 min after our reservation time.

Always an excellent experience at Stella's. Super chic decor with a private club feel. The service is impeccable and the food is truly perfect. We look forward to our next visit.

Stella had “kitchen” issues on this evening which delayed service. They apologized profusely and kindly offered to cover our entire bill while still offering additional drinks, dessert etc. Nonetheless when our food did arrive all of it was super and the bar/table service was outstanding! This was our anniversary and we have frequented Stella’s in the past, and will definitely return in the future.

Excellent service and delicious food. You can tell each item on the menu is well thought through and carefully prepared. Drinks were great- creative and tasty, service was the best we’ve experienced in a long time- staff were very attentive, knowledgeable and provided an upscale experience.

Celebrated our anniversary and we chose the best spot! Incredible drinks, food, ambiance and vibes - one of our favorite DJs was playing a set afterwards. Food was delicious and service was perfect - 100% recommend!

Absolutely stunning modern sleek interior, the staff was 100% five star! The menu was absolutely stunning with creative choices that left us very satisfied! The chef is immensely talented and very personable as he made his way around the restaurant greeting the guests.

The tasting menu was absolutely delicious. The wine pairings experience was incredibly educational and some of the best wine we’ve had. Service- as always- was top notch: professional and friendly. Thank you for memorable experience.

Great experience, one of the best restaurants in Boulder. Wine pairing was very well chosen, great wines. Only downside was the entree, the duck was dry and overcooked.
