Third time at Stella's and I never saw it so quiet. It was 8:30 on Sunday night and the weather was pretty bad. Anyway, I was gaga over the ambiance the first two times there, so this visit was a bit of a let down. Still, great experience overall. I like it more when it is bustling, though.

Not a typical Boulder restaurant! This place feels so sophisticated, elegant even, but not in a stuffy way. Beautiful decor, excellent food and service and when there’s music it’s very happening! We love this spot and would go more often but it’s hard to get reservations. Make one well in advance - it’s worth it.

Great food, service and ambiance. I frequently have a problem with noise level at restuarnts--didin't have a problem at Stella's. Cost is reltively expensive, but not out of line for the quality of the experience. They have a very good Italian wine list--I recommend reviewing it on their website before going.

Fantastic. We we’re expecting the kind of speakeasy surprise entrance (the one with the mirror door) but apparently we missed it. Other than the mild disappointment upon entering, the ambiance and energy did not let us down. The cuisine was excellent, drinks refreshing and intentional, and the mid-mod design with live jazz band sealed the deal. Highly recommend, but don’t go making this place hyper popular please. We’d rather it stay the hidden gem it is ;)

Are you kidding me?!?! This was one of the most incredible dining experiences in Boulder- total dark horse. Everyone please make a reservation immediately! The atmosphere, the service, the food, and the drinks were absolutely 5/5 across the board. From the second we walk in (tricky to find- metal door east of Rosetta Hall) the service was top notch- then we met our server, Clay... there is now a new standard for the BEST server award. He was knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and funny. Thank you!!! And then we tasted the food- wow. Unique combinations with the most flavor! Cannot say enough positives about Stella's Cucina. Loved everything!

Thoroughly enjoyed the service and the food, everything tasted amazing and the staff was wonderful. But I was not thrilled to be seated next to where they have live music, which was not set up when we arrived or we might have asked for a different spot. I am sure I am just an old curmudgeon, but I will never understand paying $400+ to enjoy dinner with your family/friends but then not being able to actually converse.

A very enjoyable dining experience. The food was superb and the service impeccable. We loved the large, airy room and the placement of the tables was perfect for private conversations. All in all, I would highly recommend Stella's and plan to eat there again soon.

Scallops, risotto and truffles was amazing, as well as the Pomodoro and pork chop. The burrata appetizer was a little bland behind the fish rowe that totally took over the dish. I was hoping the octopus appetizer would have more flavor. The “Terra-misu” was creative, fun, and delicious. Overall a gorgeous experience and excellent service.

The food and service are truly amazing. This was our second time here, and my only complaint is that the two-person tables are very small and pinched between larger tables and the bar. Both times we've been here, we've had a large party next to us and servers kept bumping into us. Our plates and drinks didn't fit on the table. We kept having to shuffle everything in order to eat without knocking anything over.

Foodies here! Stella was a wonderful surprise. From when we walked in the door, pleasantly greeted and then walked to our table in what can I saw but WOW atmosphere. Bar and restaurant are tastefully decorated, great band playing some soft jazz music and seated at our table for 2. Our service was spot on and attentive. The food, was beautiful and well balanced. We started out with cocktails, had wine and finished with coffee. All were great. All the dishes my husband and I Shared. Started with an appetizer, it was the octopus dish which was very appealing to the eyes, sweet and salty balance thru orange supreme and olives. Then we moved on to the shrimp saffron fettuccine, which was amazing. Pasta was cooked perfect, sauce was creamy but not over powering, slight heat at the end but again well balanced, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Main we chose the steak. It was cooked to our medium rare request, could have had a better sear on it, but overall it was a good steak. We finished with a raspberry tart. Ambience, service and food were fantastic we will be back!

This place is great. Our waiter Floren was really great in helping our group pick food to share and a bottle of wine as well. I will go back. The jazz combo followed by the DJ around 9:30 was really great to listen to.

We had an outstanding experience at Stella’s. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. I was very impressed with the interior design. The decor is swanky and modern, while also being very comfortable, and the color scheme was beautiful. It felt like a slice of big-city dining here in Boulder. Our server was personable and gave us great recommendations. The cocktails were outstanding (especially that espresso martini-wow). Two two risotto dishes we ordered (one mushroom, one scallop) really delivered, and the heirloom tomato side was homey and rustic in the best possible way. My only critique was that a restaurant of this caliber should have a bread service at the beginning of the meal, and the rum baba cake needed more berries for balance. We’ll definitely be back for many more date nights!

This was our first time dining at Stella’s, and it did not disappoint. We had excellent service from all of the staff, but especially our waiter Floren. We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and he treated us to champagne at the end of our meal. The food was also delicious. Highly recommend!

This place is unique. You feel like you in NYC. Even Boulder people dress up. But not stuffy. The food is delicious and unusual. The service was friendly and efficient. We had wonderful Spumanti to celebrate two birthdays.

Good pasta. Inattentive service. Didn’t inspire me to return. After our entrees arrived, no one checked on us to see how our meals were or to ask if my husband would like another cocktail. No sight of our server until we finished eating. Disappointing.

Food is really good but don’t come expecting to get an appetizer and main course. If you’re hungry, like I am, you need at least appetizers, primi, and secondi and, thus, will spend $150(ish) per person. Our server was inattentive, difficult to communicate with and, a few times, simply walked away while we were still talking to him. It’s partially a factor of it being loud. But also he just wasn’t great. 2/10, would not recommend him. The atmosphere is for cool people from California, which I’m not. For a fancy place, it is a touch too cool for me. I’d prefer to spend that kind of money at Corrida or elsewhere because it’s a better environment for me. It might be perfect for you, so recognize that I’m a foodie and wine guy but not trying to be cutting edge and cool. So my feedback should be taken with a grain of salt if you are cutting edge and cool. Look at your wardrobe, if it is new and hip, you may love this place. I’m neither new nor hip, which probably shows in my use of the word hip. :-D I’ll probably go back but it won’t be in high rotation for meals of $300-500 for two people. Instead those fancy nights out will more likely be Corrida, Frasca, or Steakhouse 316, etc.

great service, bar, server, sommelier. nice decor but very noisy, no thoughts were put into the acoustic when decorating. Very good food, dessert are one notch under the rest. Good job with the all-italian wine list, outstanding selection. Almost didn't come in, no sign in front. Is this a new marketing tactic to pretend you're a speakeasy or something? Will come back.

Love this restaurant and Stella! I love the ambiance except for the tables in the middle of the restaurant, but staff were exceedingly accommodating with us. I would recommend adding some new dishes now and then, which perhaps you have. Love this place, love authentic Italian, love it’s hidden door! Thank you!
