Steak & Sushi is a hip, modern steakhouse in downtown Ottawa. There you will find classic cuts of meat alongside innovative new dishes and sushi offerings. The kitchen only uses the finest ingredients and believes that freshness is the most essential part of any menu. Along with the food, Steak has a great wine list that will impress even the most discerning drinker. Start a meal at Steak with some sushi like the shrimp tempura or the chef roll. There are also plenty of salads like the Caesar and the fall harvest, and small plates like the shrimp shumai dumpling. Larger dishes include ponzu glazed sirloin and the adobo rib steak.

                                                                                                            The reservation was allowed to be made when the restaurant wasn’t even open. Didn’t realize until showing up. Opentable and the restaurant need to do a better job in ensuring reservations aren’t possible when the restaurant is closed.

                                                                                                            While my first experience at the restaurant was great a few years ago this most recent one wasn't. The service was much too slow, drinks served relatively promptly but 45 minute wait for appetizers? Then another significant amount of time before the main course. It didn't seem busy so I am not sure what the reason behind the slowness was. The wait staff didn't offer any apology or explanation or even a 'things are a bit delayed, our apologies'.

The servers are good, but for the money they charge, the food should be at a higher level than what we got. Any local sushi joint could no worse, but a lot cheaper.

                                                                                                            Steak & Sushi was offering a great deal - Steak and dumplings for $13. I literally ordered the meal twice. The price was fantastic and the meal was delicious.

                                                                                                            I was disappointed by almost everything. First, they didn’t have our réservation that we made 2 hours before in OpenTable. The service merly ok. The waitress was in a hurry and the waiter seemed new, so was not really effective. They didn’t have the gin for the drink I wanted on there drinks menu. The salmon tartare was not cokd and not so tasty. The sushis were just ok too.
