Right now the best steakhouse in business. Food fantastic (as always, steak the best; but try the shells with seafood). Fun atmosphere. Big drinks.

The GM of this place was very unprofessional. A client of mine drinks a special drink called carajillo. They were able to make one drink for us and failed to inform us that they ran out of Licor 43. The waiter which was amazing by the way. Blessed her heart because she showed us that she did and tried to do everything in her power and fix the situation. Unfortunately the GM came to our table and made the matters worst. Damn near almost got into an argument with us. We even offered to get some deliver on our behalf and still get charged for it. Fact of the matter is this. This is a high end location and I’ve never dealt with a situation like this. It starts with the inventory that needs to be done weekly so situation like this don’t happened again. The GM needs a coaching discussion. The waiter on the other hand was top notch. She’s amazing! I can’t remember her name but she is mix nationality.

When I chose to celebrate my birthday I spent hours looking for the restaurant that will make it memorable with great food and great service. I had a 3 day celebration at various restaurants, and picked Steak-48 for the main day. I am a foodie that’s dined across the globe, from street food to Michelin star restaurants. Steak-48 went above and beyond my expectations— from the fast and easy valet (On the side of the building not directly on Wilshire Blvd) to the soft lights above the table, and the delicious food to the great service. Even the bathroom was amazing! Beautifully designed, like the ones you’d find in Japan. This is the second time I’m leaving a tip of 30% at a restaurant, and it is well-deserved! Every meal was a hit. The portions were large, shareable, and deliciously prepared. The only thing our party didn’t love was the loaded baked potato, as the bacon was quite salty. Other than that, we had a great time. Service was another 10 out of 10. Everyone worked as a team, and there was always someone to grab you what you need on time. The manager was always on sight- I lost track of how many times he checked on our the table and around. Our server, Doug, was born for this profession. Very hospitable, funny and welcoming. I notified the manger I’m definitely returning to the restaurant because of Doug’s service. When we entered at around 6 pm it felt quiet, but by the time we were leaving around 7:30p it was so crowded, people had filled up to the entrance. I’m very glad I found this place. Not to mention, I received a lovely birthday card with handwritten greetings, and a free dessert of my choice at the end of the night. On the following day I received a voicemail asking how we found the service. Thank you for an unforgettable birthday celebration, Steak-48. See you again soon!

We had the most amazing dinner with the most amazing server, his name was Amari. We sat in the glass booths on the kitchen. He was by far the most humble, the most personable, and the most caring server we have ever experienced. Even if the food was terrible, I would go back because of Amari, but the food was amazing and worth every penny we spent.
