Elegant and cosy, the restaurant strives for perfection using the highest quality fresh seafood. Whilst it is primarily Nikkei in concept, dishes are experimental – inspired by the heritages of the chefs who work there, led by chef Jorge Baumhauer da Silva, celebrating creative collaboration and London’s diverse food culture.
A one-of-a-kind cevicheria and oyster bar is the centrepiece to St Clair, where guests can watch the highly skilled chefs prepare ceviche and oysters, sipping on a glass or two of Champagne, wine or sake. The fish boutique allows customers to choose fish from the daily changing counter to take away and cook at home, or the kitchen can prepare and cook the fish for customers if they wish.<

What a lovely surprise to be able to escape to the South of France without stepping on a plan.
The food was as exceptional and the service! A great addition to the lack-less restaurant offering in Clapham.
One of my favourite fish restaurants in London! Staff and service is also excellent
The food is amazing and service impeccable. I will definitely be returning to this eatery very soon.
Drinks are very expensive ( wine by glass) fab for seafood!
The waiter David was an absolute delight. So kind and attentive and great fun. Food was heavenly. Thoroughly enjoyed
Great food, friendly staff. It's just a shame about the outdoor location being next to a busy main road - felt abit like sitting in traffic at times! Would be good if they installed a block (like the restaurant nect door) to give more separation from the road.
Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to St Clair, having also bought delicious fresh fish from them over lock down. Will definitley be back.
Great food! Favourites were the tuna tartare which had a great yuzu sauce, and the whole sea bass which was cooked perfectly as were the roast potatoes. Also recommend the baby gem salad to go with the fish!
Service was a bit on the slow side but we’ll still be back
Really enjoyed our meal despite eating outside in a hurricane! The desserts weren't great but they did take them off the bill after I mentioned it which was appreciated.
St Clair was the top of my list for bookings post lockdown and it did not disappoint. Had a truly wonderful dinner. Every detail was amazing - matcha butter with the bread, a chef suggested order to tackle the ceviche platter, great wine recommendations - I would recommend this restaurant to any seafood lovers (though I did also spot a delicious sounding chicken dish on the menu that I would love to try next!). Oysters were exceptionally fresh. Try the tuna tataki and thank me later!! I’ve previously bought their seafood in store and had their traiteur set menu and both were also excellent. Highly recommended!
Food was cooked very well and was delicious, but portions were on the small side. We spent £300 for 4 people, and I wasn't full or tipsy. Excellent espresso martini, maybe the best I've had. Service was very good, and ambience would have been great if city buses weren't tipping our parasol each time they went by, rubbish wasn't blowing up next to us kerbside, and there were NO heat lamps??!! So we were generally uncomfortable. Tiny table didn't have enough space for food. It was really a table for 2 with 4 chairs around it. For £300, not really acceptable.
St. Clair needs to sort this out before I'd consider returning. If they manage to sort these details, I'd recommend it to a friend.
Absolutely awesome seafood and fish that we had. Highly recommended!
Wonderful food (and cocktails) & the most attentive staff !
Really good. Will be back again to eat inside from 17th May!
Great service and food. Will come again, preferably indoor.
It was a chilly afternoon and there were no heaters or blankets available. The staff were kind but could not assist us with warmth. I understand these are challenging times but both restaurants next door have cover and heaters. The food was cold and not really okay for the price. Not a great experience I’m sorry.
Fantastic fresh fish. Great selection of Oysters.
Great outdoor space and location. The service was great and the food was delicious.
Oysters were great 👌🏽good customer service 😇 a bit too pricey
The food was incredible, the waiter was really attentive and gave great recommendations for what we should order, I can’t wait to go back!
the food is really exceptional here, difficult being on the pavement next to the road but food is so good you forget about it
Fantastic lunch on the pavement on a glorious sunny day. Extremely well cooked seafood (with light and vibrant flavours rather than heavy cooking) and an excellent wine list. On the expensive side overall but worth it.
St Clair was amazing! The food was so delicious, especially the prawns! Will definitely be back!
Delicious food and wine. Lovely setting on the common and it was nice to eat outside!
Absolutely divine. Stunning service and the most delicious food. Really recommend for a special occasion! we had the cheese bread, ceviche platter, oysters and king prawns. We didn’t catch the name of our fantastic waiter - he couldn’t have been more helpful - gave us recommendations on wine and food. The cheese breads are HEAVEN and the sea food so special. We can’t wait to return.
Fantastic food, simple and excellently done. A great wine list and which always helps. Staff were very helpful. Only suggestion would be some heaters given the mandatory outdoors and nighttime temperatures
The food was amazing one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in years
Excellent food and great service
Very pleased with our lunch experience at St Clair from the service to the food. The food was great especially the seabass. It was the best i’ve ever tasted (very fresh, cooked perfectly and the marinade was delightful). Had the ceviche platter which was packed full of different flavours. My only criticism is I would have perhaps liked to see a few more side options to have with our meal e.g a variety of vegetables and starches.
We LOVED our dinner at St Clair. Anton and David topped off the amazing food with brilliant service. top tip... get the seabass!
Great venue, delicious food.
great service and food. since, lockdown, only can do outdoor dining. will defi try again when indoor dining opens.
Amazing sunny day to enjoy some marvelous seafood and wine. The staff is helpful making recommendations and the whole fish is spectacular. Thank you St Clair we’ll be back!
Was absolutely fantastic on a warm summer’s morning
Fantastic food - we went for the oysters medley to start then had the ceviche platter also. Great flavours and super fresh seafood. Cute little place on the pavement with outdoor seating, we managed to catch the evening sun. We also had the tiger prawns and all the sides (coriander rice, potatoes and salad with pistachio cream.
Would deffo recommend!
Fantastic food as always. Absolutely flawless.
all very nice and well presented, even the butter. Attentive service, even if little slow.
Tuna and sea bream amazing, other dishes did not quite live up to this standard. Lovely service.
