   This was simply the finest meal I've ever had or hope to have unless I come back! Just spectacular in every way - food, service, ambience. I will never forget this restaurant. Very expensive, but with an experience like this, it was worth every penny.

   Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere and delicious food!! High end on the expense scale, but lovely for a special lunch where you feel well cared for and well fed.

   Went to Spruce for lunch. The "prix fixe" menu is complex and overpriced. $65 for a solid lunch along with a "no-warning" 20% service charge - is generous for a cesar salad and a burger. Includes lots of opportunity for Spruce to upcharge on its already overpriced offerings. The service is professional and refined. I wasn't expecting the prix fixe menu, the amuse bouche, nor the complimentary truffle. Overall, a bit precious dining experience, giving the food offerings.

   Our evening at Spruce was delightful and satisfying in a comfortable and beautiful setting. Our waiter, Ryan, was one of the best ever! He was fun, friendly yet perfectly professional as were all front of the house staff. The food was delicious, as one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber, but it was the innovative touches that made it a stand-out. Such things as the Amuse Bouche tuiles, Nantes carrot fagottini with carrot top pesto, pickled kumquat which cut through the richness of the duck breast, and the fig leaf gelato served with the Tarte au Chocolat were those unique elements of the fabulous dishes we ordered. I could have eaten and entire basket of the rolls they offer as one of the bread selections and the butter on the table was soft and spreadable. And finally at the end a great little mignardise tower! The timing of service was perfect and I'm always impressed by a restaurant that waits for everyone at table to finish a dish before clearing the table. Their wine list is unbeatable and I really appreciated that they offer fun and delicious non-alcoholic cocktails. The attention to detail, the impeccable service and fabulous food made this a most wonderful evening.

   Spruce is one of the best restaurants in SF. We love the ambience and the fact that we can have a conversation effortlessly. The food is imaginative and delicious and the service is better than most restaurants. Dinner at Spruce is consistently fabulous in all respects.
