Celebrated my husband’s birthday - we had an amazing experience. We did the tasting menu where we got to literally try everything on the menu and did the wine pairing. All the food was incredible especially the handmade pastas! We were completely full and satisfied with our meal - this was a perfect place for a lovely celebration and date night!
A must! Incredibile! I wanted more! Great in restaurant or to-go!
Best Italian in Seattle, hands down. Always impressed every time I go.
Our anniversary dinner was delightful in every way. The potato salad, stuffed onions, egg-yoke pasta with sage, beef cheek, and ladyfinger with lemon curd and creme fraiche were superb. Our server was so helpful in choosing these dishes. In my opinion, Spinasse is one of the top culinary destinations in Seattle.
We love Spinasse. Everything was top notch. However, we always find the prices are a tad high for the food you get which is why we note fewer stars than 5. Still, as a wonderful evening out with outstanding, attentive service, we will always recommend Spinasse.
The food was excellent-next time I would just order the appetizer and pasta or main. Our wait person suggested the 1/2 pasta and entree with the appetizer. It was delicious but just too much food. The only negative was all the wait staff (except for bartender and host were cloistered (probably 5 of them) in a corner, not really paying attention to customers.
This is a reliably wonderful restaurant and a wonderful representation of so much we love about the Piedmont! It’s simple elegance always makes us feel welcome. Perhaps because of COVID, we were asked in our last two visits to order all our choices at once…not how we would prefer to do it, but a small inconvenience for all else we enjoy!
A super delicious meal on our last night in Seattle. Everything was amazing from service to dessert!
Food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend starting with the misto antipasto so you can get a taste of everything. We had the Ragu pasta and Beef Cheek this time around, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
always perfect! Eric was wonderful! almost as wonderful as the food!
Wonderful restaurant- great food, lovely staff. We had the combination antipasti, risotto, pasta with butter and sage and beef cheeks. All were superb!
Amazing and intimate space. Great for a special occasion or just a nice date night. Fabulous fresh pastas, great wine selection...the beef cheek was excellent as well. We had great service, unfortunately cannot remember her name but place was full of hospitality. Fully recommend Spinasse to anyone.
The food was super authentic and the pasta just melted in your mouth, you could see them making it fresh to order in the kitchen. Fantastic service too.
Spinasse is among the best Italian restaurants in USA. EVERITHING TASTE FANTASTIC.
Every time ,we are never disappointed. Thanks SPINASSE
Exceptional food, service and ambiance. A first class place. Incredible server, that was both knowledgeable, and made the entire experience incredible.
My husband and I had the tasting menu with wine. It was fabulous to get to try so many thoughtful dishes and their made from scratch pasta melts in your mouth! The attentive and gracious service made for a delightful dining experience. We can not wait to go back!
The dishes are perfectly sized to share multiple different sets with your other guests – the sage & butter pasta and the beef cheeks were standouts.
Great food and excellent service!
Wonderful service, wonderful atmosphere…wonderful food. Excellent experience
Excellent Northern Italian restaurant. Creative menu that is not the predicable Italian menu. Great ambiance and service. Highly recommend!!
One of the best dinners I've had in a long time. Amazing Italian food, everything is well thought out, amazingly prepared and so tasty. I highly recommend this as a must visit if you are in the area. I especially loved the beef cheeks with pomegranate and the panna cotta for dessert.
Nothing beats the butter sage pasta- how can anything so simple be amazing but it is. We had half portions of every pasta. Yum
Absolutely delicious, incredible, and fantastic all in one evening!
Love love love this place!!
The food and service was excellent, as usual. It was a little cold to be dining outside but there were multiple heaters to keep us warm. A very pleasant experience overall.
Amazing food and at a reasonable price. Really good service that thoroughly explains their menu. One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.
Charles went above and beyond when it came to his recommendations and service. Food was perfectly paced where I didn’t feel rushed, yet it didn’t take forever between courses. Top notch across the board, and I would definitely visit again the next time I’m in Seattle.
Overall my girlfriend and I had a fair experience dining.
The negative came from the food. Our antipasti consisted of all four options on the menu at the time. This included insalata Russo, a potato salad with prosciutto that was grainy and bland in flavour. None of the others particularly stood out with the exception of prosciutto di Parma apples being particularly flavourful and well paired with the prosciutto.
For the primi I got the Ragu which was over salted and I considered sending back. My girlfriend got risotto con Gamberi, which she liked but felt it wasn’t a stand out.
For secondi we split Storione which is poached sturgeon and the felt the salsa Piedmontese really clashed with the fish. We took it home and fed it to the dog.
The ambience was pleasant and festive for the holidays. And it feels nice to sit in an’Old’ Seattle building that hasn’t been renovated to contemporary standards.
Service great and thorough and he had good wine recommendations.
In the end though, it’s hard to justify the cost for some good atmosphere but mediocre food.
Another great experience at Spinasse. Some of my favorite winter items aren't on the menu this year because they're labor intensive, but that just allows me to order new and interesting dishes. The spot prawn risotto was amazing, with a bit of a kick at the end that made it memorable. Our server recommended a very nice wine and was very respectful of our early departure time (to attend a show). Great service and great food, as always.
Excellent food quality and service. Will come back.
Unbelievably good northern italian food - equal to anything i've had anywhere. the spot prawn risotto and the rabbit agnolotti were huge hits - my partner was suspicious of eating bunny rabbits, but is absolutely on board going forward - which speaks to just how beautifully Spinasse executing their agnolotti.
The crespelle was slightly underwhelming, but only in comparison to how good everything else was - great wine list / good selection by the glass, impeccable service, and an exceptional digestif / amaro list that we sadly didn't get to try.
we will be back!
Solid spot really good food and cocktails
Thank you for a lovely even in one of my favorite spaces to dine. Food was delicious as always, and the service top notch.
The food at Spinasse is simply outstanding. The staff is probably the best in town.Strongly recommended to every food lover.
PS:Try the Tasting Menu . You are not going to be disappointed :)))
Strongly suggest skipping the degustazione menu (one of everything served family style). None of the salads are really any good.
The crespelle is delicious. Lamb and halibut too.
Pastas are all good except the broccoli and pancetta pasta. Go with what sounds good and get a full order to share with the others at your table.
$360 bill for 2 people and I still had to box up leftovers ourselves. Seriously?
My wife and I arrived about 8 minutes early for our reservation on a cold December evening. The other two members of our party weren't there yet so we were told that we would have to wait outside until they arrived and the hostess was very adamant about this. We went back out wondering why we had to freeze when there were so many tables available. We could have ordered a cocktail and if our party was late, they could have sold us an additional drink. If our friends failed so show, we still would have eaten there. Anyway, after waiting in the cold for our friends we were seated. About 15 minutes later, Howard Shultz (Starbucks) was seated with a woman nearby. About 15 minutes later, the rest of his party arrived. Wow, I guess if you're a big name you're not required to wait outside in in the cold until your entire party is there. When we tried to order our appetizers, were were told that we couldn't order until we order all the dishes we want because the kitchen likes to have the whole order. Won't be going back...
I booked a table after what I thought would be an evening listening to a string quartet. Failed on the Vivaldi, but made an awesome recovery on the dinner reservation.
Diane was able to rebook us a bit earlier. The table outside was PERFECTO. Heat lamps make this a great alternative. Despite what one might think, the dining experience was somehow intimate. The prosciutto di Parma was a winner and was followed with tajarin butter & sage and ragu and risotto (for our gluten-sensitive friend). Our Italian dinner companion would not be denied the cotechino, while our gluten-free / vegetarian was all in on the Halibut. The kitchen had their opinion, too, sending us the rabbit to try, as well. The vegetarian "couldn't eat another thing," but found room for the leftover carrots in her handbag.
Of course, we had dessert. I should have listened to the waitress... the zuppa inglese was exactly what I was pining for when panna cotta was out of season. Thank you!!
Wines were wonderful.
We couldn't have had a more relaxed and convivial evening. Yes, we will be back.
Food was superb. Service spot on.
