What Insiders Are Saying
Spinasse in Capitol Hill is one of the best fork-up-your-money Italian restaurants in Seattle.
What a great dinner experience. Best meal in Seattle. Service was excellent.
All of the food we had (appetizers, entrees) was far too salty.
This was the best Italian food I have had in awhile. In my opinion puts carmines to shame. Great atmosphere for a date or small celebration. Intimate vibes! The short rib pasta and salmon were my favorite dishes.
In 17 years if dining in Seattle Spinasse is THE BEST!
Spinasse was amazing as usual. Their food and service is amazing! So incredible that this delicious restaurant is just a little neighborhood joint. Always feel lucky if we’re able to get a weekend reservation!
Really delicious house made pasta and best prosciutto we have ever had. Luis, our server was wonderful.
We had a great first experience that has us wanting to come back again already! Our waitress was fun, spunky and sassy. The perfect mix for our annoying questions and lack of knowledge of the menu. Thank you again for the wonderful night, we had the best anniversary dinner ever. We’ll be back soon and can’t wait to try the sister restaurant next door!!!!
Outstanding in every way
One of my favorite places to eat in Seattle. I come here everytime I visit from Florida. Love it!
Bad service in general, I wouldn’t come back and or recommend.
Absolutely amazing staff and menu!
Had an excellent dinner. Service, food, drinks all first rate. Will go again
The food and service doesn’t disappoint! Every mouthful is noteworthy. We sat at the bar to watch the pasta being expertly made.
I enjoy the casual ambiance and the intimate seating allowing conversation without echos.
This place was awesome! Friendly server and great drinks. We'll always order a "Black Manhattan" now after our server's suggestion. Love the ragu! My mom and I had a lovely reunion dinner, and we'll be back!
5 star experience in a casual yet classy setting. Impeccable service, insanely delicious food and convenient location/parking nearby. Highly recommend!
Amazing date, all to the thanks of Spinasse. Truely amazing food.
We had the tasting menu for two along with a bottle of wine. It was a a lot of food but it great way to sample everything on the menu.
What an amazing meal. We live in San Diego and were up in Seattle for a wedding. Our daughter recommended Spinasse. This is Italian food at its finest. The zucchini flowers were not the overrated and underwhelming types that appear on all menus in the summer. here the ricotta was creamy and the lemon flavor came through Surely the ricotta was homemade. We also had the zucchini carpaccio - with red currants - the perfect mixture of sweet and savory that you only get with Italian food. We had the tajarin - one with butter and sage and the other with ragu... heavenly and the best we have had outside of Piedmont... Then we shared the salmon with the freshest vegetables and the meltingly delicious kale. If we have a restaurant in San Diego I would be there every day .
One of the best Italian restaurants and most authentic since my mother's home cooking. Well worth going to
Spinasse was everything we dreamed it would be and more. We shared some small plates to start, and then each got our own pastas or meat dishes. Everyone loved their dishes and cannot wait to return. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The pasta dishes were the highlights of the night, such lovely flavors and texture!
By far best dining experience all around in Seattle. Very impressed. Can’t wait to go back soon!!!
This restaurant is amazing. The rabbit meatballs are to die for and please bring back the sausage stuffed chippolini onions.
Visiting from Philadelphia, my girlfriend learned of this restaurant on the TV Food Map and we watched a video from Food Network's "Top 5 Restaurants." The Fiore di zucca starter was so good we ordered a second. My Cavatelli con brasato di manzo was easily the best pasta dish I have ever eaten. She had the Tajarin al ragu, featured in the video we saw, which was also outstanding. She almost ordered another one for us to share, but we decided we wouldn't be able to make it out the front door.
Food and service were exceptional. The pastas as well as the rabbit meatballs were divine.
This is one of my all time favorites of Seattle! Their menu is deliiscious, their wine selection amazing and their staff profesional and knowledgeable! Always a delight and a great meal. But... saw King Salmon in the menu! Chinook at this critical times should be reserved to Orcas, our southern killer whale population is literall starving! I will hope the chef takes that into consideration when developing the menu!
We had an outstanding experience. Bertram was our waiter and made the evening amazing. We tasted all four pastas...all were unique, interesting and delicious. Do not miss the sage and butter pasta. We loved this restaurant and wish we lived here so we can go again and again.
Always an excellent experience. Amazing staff who take good care of you and amazing dishes.
The ambience of the restaurant is quiet and elegant. The food is special in that you won't find other restaurants serving the same food. The ingredients are simple, yet the dishes are delicious. Highly recommend!
The food was great. The family loved the short rib pasta, and the vegetarian-friendly butter and sage pasta was fantastic.
Wonderful food! Can’t beat the freshest pasta in seattle ...
Try the appetizer sampler, and order all the pastas in their smaller portions if you want a taste of all of them. Can't wait to come back! Second time eating here this year, and already having cravings for their famous pastas! Can't wait to make my next reservation!
Outstanding creative food with some excellent unusual options like the ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers, the roasted turnips with nuts and cherries, the marinated zucchini.
Homemade nectarine sorbet was lovely as was the chocolate cake.
Handout homemade pasta was so delicious...we saw it being cut as we came in.
We aren't even vegetarians but the veggie options were so great!
Attentive friendly efficient meticulous service, can't say enough about the staff.
Simple and casual and utterly delicious. Everyone knows about the tajarin with butter and sage yet it blows my mind every time. Don’t miss the rabbit meatballs either. Warm and perfectly competent service.
Fantastic Northern Italian wine list that pairs up perfectly with house made pastas. Not to be missed is the Sage Brown Butter Tajarin. Stellar service & informed pleasant staff.
Worst meal in history of meals
Amazing! My boyfriend and I were visiting Seattle and this restaurant came up on the top of every list... so we tried it. We were pleased with the service-Bertram gave great recommendations. The food was incredible! We tried all 4 pastas. They do 1/2 portions so you can have a taste of everything. My favorite was the short rib pasta. My boyfriend loved the lamb ravioli. Perfection! Rabbit meatballs were very flavorful too. Definitely recommend!
I was blown away by the food here, went in expecting a great meal and got so much more, it was phenomenal!
Spinasse is by far our favorite Italian in the US. Their tajarine and agnolotti are to die for, all hand-made right in front of you. The wine list will inspire even the pickiest wine snob while cocktail bar always makes me happy with their excellent Aviation (you would have to ask for it). Menu changes all the time, so it's always a beautiful adventure going to Spinasse. Thank you!
