Great service & food. Outdoor seating with all of the precautions taken for COVID very evident - great spacing between guests. Highly recommend as a place to be out yet feel assured that you're being safe !
The food was absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere as well. Highly recommend.
WE LOVE SPARTINA SO MUCH!! Best patio, food, staff, wine list everything :)
Nice spot, with nice staff
FANTASTIC EVENING..FANTASTIC FOOD...we will definitely be going back again soon
Celebrated my 6mo anniversary with my boyfriend! The staff was really nice, the food was good and the ambiance was sweet and romantic. We also felt really comfortable with them screening customers for COVID. We definitely plan to go back!
I love this restaurant. It’s one of my favorites. The people who work there are super nice and helpful. Most of all the food is amazing.
So great to have Spartina back in business in the neighborhood. They have some new items which are great!
Amazing Italian cuisine and great service! Highly recommend.
Spartina continues to be one of our most favorite restaurants in West Hollywood. All the food is continuously super high standard and the service is impeccable. This place is a neighborhood gem; whether for a special celebration or for a casual evening with friends. Even during the colder evenings the patio is well protected and their heaters work great. I’m a huge fan.
This was our second time at Spartina, the first being on Valentine’s Day! And our hostess even remembered us, which made us feel very special and definitely made us want to continue to dine here! Lovely menu and ambiance as well.
My friends and I had a great time, will definitely return. Our service was great thanks to Rahart! He made us feel right at home.
Dinner at Spartina was great! We went around 7pm, and the outdoor seating was perfect for the night. So cozy! Our waiter was so nice and attentive. The food was delicious as well (get the short rib tortelloni!!) My family and I were especially impressed with how quickly the food came out too... Overall great experience. Will definitely come back whenever we’re in town again :)
Great food in a fun atmosphere. Put it on your list of go-tos.
Great pasta and a lovely salad. A terrific server who really knew the menu and made great suggestions for our dinner.
Having been to Spartina several times before, I was delighted that my first time guests enjoyed themselves. They devoured everything! We will be back.
Double date with our friends and we love everything minute spent there! Definitely coming back!!
Very nice restaurant with good and well composed dishes. We ate three different pasta dishes and a few starters, all were good. Very accommodating and friendly staff.
This Melrose classic never disappoints. Great food in a relaxed yet hip space.
My uncle and business partners were visiting LA for a trade show. Both were visiting from St Louis, MO and Vancouver, BC. Spartina was recommended by a friend of mine who used to live nearby. We were seated right away with reservation. Food service was prompt, but waitress broke the cork into bottle of wine, and then served same wine to us. Uncle found cork in his wine glass. Not the best move by the waitress, as she should have replaced the bottle when she realized she broke the cork off. Pastas were excellent. I enjoyed my bone marrow and octopus pasta.
Service was erratic — maybe because of the passing rainstorm the patio was temporarily closed. Still, lots of friendly but distracted serving personnel bustling around and socializing with one another, but drinks took a long time, and a wrong dish was served (corrected immediately, with apologies) and a second round martini was served up instead of rocks as ordered initially. We tried some of the more unusual menu items; lesson learned: stick to the pizzas and fresh pastas which (on neighboring tables) looked delicious. The octopus had maybe 3 bits of octopus hidden under a sliced baby potato. The octopus had a nice consistency but its delicate flavor was masked by the other bits on the plate. Artichoke was oily and tasted of whatever was previously on the grill. Garlic bread was the star — like a toasted brioche. Sourdough with ricotta spread was served to us by mistake but we got to taste it, and it was pretty good. Grilled avocado was described as having pistachios but we couldn’t taste them, and it was topped, oddly, with a mound of cold, dry shredded cheese; truly a weird dish.
This was my second visit, and I will likely be back because the vibe is upbeat and energetic without being deafening, the decor is nice, and the prices are very reasonable for this area. Also, the drinks are very cold and good, if the orders are correct. But I will stick with the pastas and pizzas, and maybe that delicious garlic toast.
The place is so nice, it was our first time and we are very impressed, the service was excellent
The food is so delicious, I highly recommend this place for any occasion
I had a reservation for 2:30PM, we arrived at 2:43 and they refused to seat us.
Absolutely horrible experience here. Had a larger group of 9 people for a 1:30 reservation. Party arrived and didn't see a server for 20 minutes, we ordered the bottomless Aperol spritzes, didn't see drinks for another 15 minutes. After one refill they told us they "ran out" of the bottomless drinks. They stopped serving us at 2:34(got our first drink at 2) and the brunch hours stop at 3. We had 34 minutes of bottomless. Our server was extremely combative and seemingly didn't care at all about the situation.
(Told us we got our drinks in ten minutes so we can't complain. This was a total lie and laughable as we kept making jokes about how we think they forgot about us). Asked to speak to the manager. He told us once again they ran out of bottomless drinks and there's nothing they would be able to do. We tried to explain that if you offer bottomless drinks, you cant just tell people you're out of drinks with nothing you can do. The manager was condescending and said the best he would do is take a few of the drink charges off the bill. Bill comes and there's a 2 out of 9 drink charges taken off(LOL) AND an added 20 percent gratuity added for a server who was extremely combative.
Overall horrible experience with the restaurant. Don't offer bottomless brunch if you can't actually provide it, get management who can empathize with tough situations, and do more to fix the mistakes YOU created for patrons. Two more groups on our way out also shared these same concerns. If you can't provide a good customer experience, you deserve not to be in business.
The food was great, the spot is really cool, the only thing my friends and I were disappointed about was the service, we had like 3 waiters who seemed to forget to come to our table, we had to wait a long time to order drinks, then food order took longer and we actually had to intercept another waitress to ask her to take our order, then when They brought the food I ordered something else which they didn’t bring... so overall ok experience, could be better service.
My mother and I went here for dinner. I thought it was a cute little place to eat. The pictures looked decent. However we were incredibly underwhelmed. The food was subpar and tasteless. I ordered the shrimp rigatoni. It was completely tasteless, chunky bits of garlic, and literally two pieces of shrimp chopped up. I asked for salt and pepper. The waiter brought a huge tray of salt, pepper, and hot flakes. Clearly they are used to people complaining about their food being tasteless. We also ordered the garlic bread. It was a block of stale bread with some burned butter on top. Very disappointing. To top it off, their flimsy chairs hurt my mom causing her to fall out of the chair. Management didn’t bother to check on us or to see if she was okay. She actually injured herself from the fall and they didn’t care. This restaurant clearly makes money from the traffic on Melrose and does not put in the time for service and quality. Save your money and go elsewhere.
