Wonderful food, spaced out atmosphere. Great “Date Night”.
Always a good meal at this restaurant. Very helpful staff. Followed all CDC guidelines as well.
Delicious, live to eat outside! Charcuterie is so good!
Friendly staff. Very nice location and facility. Will return
It's hard to review these days given they are just opening up after long closures, and I can only rely on my experience and nothing else. That being said, the service was very positive and attentive. The beer list was rather limited. We ordered shrimp and grits; it was flavorful. The grits were a bit dry for my taste. We also ordered shrimp sriracha which was tasty as well. I wasn't amazed by any of the items. They were just fine.
My only main feedback is to device a plan to cool down the outside patio. I know it's not an easy ask, but it'd go a long way for customers since the inside dining room is very boring.
We went for dinner and they were out of corn bread (one of the reasons we like it). Also, four ordered a drink and one took a long time and was not made correctly (no ice ball and tasted weird). Charcuterie board was great, salads were great. My husband got sweet potato fries instead of regular but it was remedied. Not as great as we remembered. We wanted to sit on patio but it was not open (another reason we picked it).
It was my and my husband's first dining out experience since the pandemic hit in mid-March. We felt safe with the outside seating and were more than happy with the quality of our food.
Shrimp and grits were amazing! I highly recommend the Poutine for an appetizer. Yum!
Amazing service, ambiance, drinks and great food. They were very accommodating to my small children, which is always appreciated!
Sat outdoors, tables social distanced. Had a short wait for a table, which was good, means people are out and patronizing restaurants again. Inside was active too. Southern Stone is on the corner of a busy intersection, but the noise isn't too bad. Ordered the breakfast skillet and it came with smoked gouda grits, so good. Good sized portion, took some home for breakfast the next day. Potatoes in the skillet were crispy and not mushy as can be the case in a dish like that. Scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, spinach and mushrooms made up the rest. Very good, not greasy. Daughter had Cesar salad with grilled chicken, full size. Very large salad. Server was pleasant, wore a mask. Patrons were not wearing masks. Outdoor seating is dog friendly as well. Service was a bit slow, I think gearing up and it was busy, so not unexpected. Highly recommend.
I am so happy that they are practicing safe distancing and the food is fantastic. The only reason I didn’t Give the full five stars on service is that it was kind of slow. But I think there may have been a lot more customers then they had expected. This was our second time there in two weeks and the reason we came back so soon is because their Gouda grits are out of this world!!! They serve them as sides with your order. We were very disappointed that the server forgot them when our order was brought out. But once we got her attention she brought them right away.
Chicken and waffles with a side of sausage gravy was delicious as was the shrimp and grits. We weren't hungry for the rest of the day. Lol
The poutine was pretty salty for my taste but still good. Black bean hummus was outstanding. Cocktails on point!
Very good food. Enjoyed the patio seating and they were set up for distancing and the staff wore masks. Very conscientious.
Service was excellent and food was great. We will go back again.
Food was very good, and new decor is nice. Chairs are cool to look at, but uncomfortable. A little expensive side for what we got, but it’s worth checking out.
I used to really like this restaurant when it was Sweet Grass. This was my first time there after the rebranding. The menu used to have lots of nice vegetarian options, including nice salads, but the menu was really small this time and the things I liked were gone. It was afternoon but almost everything on the menu was a breakfast food, which confused me. I ordered the avocado toast, which was under "sandwiches" (which seemed weird to me, but whatever) and it said "all sandwiches are served with fries." Well, the avocado toast came with grits which I didn't think were very good. I used to love the avocado toast + egg, but this time it didn't taste very good! I don't know why. I was really disappointed that a place I used to love has changed so much. I hope they're able to improve but I probably won't be back any time soon.
