   Wonderful experience from the moment they open the front gate to relaxing in the patio and then finally entering the main dinning room. You’re in for a treat with their menu and creation. Service was impeccable, never been to a fine dining experience where the service was so good. You have to experience it yourself to believe. I can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommended even with the price point.

   This was the best dinner I had in my life for sure. Also the most $$. That said everything was bang on. A few of the dishes to me were standouts and a few that left a little to be desired. The potion sizes are just right for the most part sometimes leaving you wanting more. The pacing, sections, and preparation are in line or above expectations for a place like this based on their pedigree. As someone who has been to multiple two Michelin star restaurants I’d say Somni ranks on top and could be poised for a 3rd with a little more refinement. It’s great to see them open again! Overall spectacular experience and we will return seasonally as the menu changes.

   I’ve been to many 3 Michelin star restaurants and many fine dining establishments in the US and in Asia. The dishes were very creative but not unusually provocative or weird. The chef curated the ingredients well and did not just lazily add in expensive ingredients like gold flakes, shaved truffles, caviar, A5 wagyu or uni for the heck of it to make it feel fancy. The plating and presentation were whimsical and intricate. I loved the fun shaped cookies and delicate flowers. Textures include a lot of pastes, meringue, and wafers. The dining room was minimalistic and modern, thoughtfully designed and renovated. It looks like it belongs in architectural digest magazine or some space at the MOMA in New York. I marveled at the plates and the glassware. The chefs and servers worked in unison. The team was very in sync and served the dining room like a dance. They also made conversation with us and were very attentive but it did not feel over bearing, rehearsed, or pretentious. It was a long meal but the pacing was great and I had a wonderful time. Drink pairings were good, too. Like 8/10. I didn’t particularly love most of the wines or the NA drinks. Maybe I need to try the more premium pairing next time. I loved the portion size and the number of pours though. It left me perfectly buzzed and delighted enough to finish the meal without just passing out in a stupor. The only thing I did not like was the snacks were too delicate and broke in my hands and was way messy. Otherwise, I cannot find anything wrong with the meal, ambience, or service. Phenomenal job!

   Worth it - go!!! One of our favorite recent LA restaurant experiences, even though Somni only recently reopened, the staff was like a well conducted orchestra. Shout outs to Caroline as sommelier with a kickass sense of humor, MJ who’s a bubbly charismatic ball of enthusiastic awesomeness, Brian who was delightful, informative, and funny, and all the rest of the team.

   It very nice and 3 star like setting. Everyone was nice. Most of the food was a hit. Can't win it all. The wine pairing is more on light side. 7 pours for 20ish dish. So it's like sampling. If you really want to enjoy, then buy a bottle or bring your own. It's like every 10min there is a dish. You will be full. I think if the price is around $300 before getting the star. It would be perfect and then once it get some star then move to $400.

   Somni is my favorite restaurant. Aside from the food being the best you’ll ever taste, the service and ambiance are second to none.

   An exceptional fine dining experience unlike anything in the USA. Three stars will be coming back to Los Angeles, and it will be earned by Somni. Expect to see many many awards for this new age fine dining experience. Top class and without any pretension

   Phenomenal dining experience. The restaurant decor is just beautiful from the heated outdoor patio to the dining room. The food was absolutely delicious, each dish had a stunning presentation. Service and hospitality was world class. The delivery of each course was carefully choreographed and executed.
