so•ca derives it’s name from several sources: a Peruvian word for sugarcane, a popular style of Caribbean music, and inspiration from a well known geographical divider, the Tropic of Cancer. Located just north of the Equator, this line of latitude divides many countries around the world. so•ca centers its focus on the islands and Americas south of this geographical border (south of the tropic of cancer).
Located on the corner of Oberlin and Clark Ave, so•ca cocina latina brings the flavors of this region to Cameron Village where we share our exotic culinary story seven nights a week during dinner service and on the weekends during brunch. Many of the items on the so•ca menu allow diners to travel to these unfamiliar lands without needing to leave the comforts of the Triangle.

Great experience, I have a few food allergies that were addressed well. The food was fantastic. It was my first time dining on the patio, the curtains between tables made us feel like the only people there. Highly recommend So•Ca
The food and drinks at SoCa are always exceptional, and the outdoor space was really nice!
Glad that So Ca is open, food is great, looking forward to our next visit.
The food was just ok, which is not acceptable for a $250 meal. The dishes largely lacked flavor and depth. The calimari was tough as shoe leather, and smelled of fish. The ceviche was also fishy and was one of the worst I have ever had. The pork cheeks lacked flavor. The empanadas and lamb cakes were ok. The salad and chocolate mousse were excellent. The service was good, and we were not charged for the calimari. We had what had to be the worst table in the restaurant, next to the hostess stand and by a door where the late afternoon sunshine was in our faces. I would never go back.
Delicious food and cocktails. Outside seating was busy but felt safe. Did not feel rushed at all.
The seafood moqueca was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!
Lovely spot, great food, if expensive. Great service.
I live in the building so it is a go to restaurant for me.
The food is outstanding. A bit overpriced however considering what they went thru after Covid we were glad to pay a bit more to support them. Surprisingly the service was slower than in the past but likely just a bad night for our waitress.. we will definitely go back and hopefully have all positives next time.
Our timid was delicious! My husband especially enjoyed his braised short ribs.
Always a treat! We love the variety on the menu and enjoyed several small plates and even tried the whole fish. It’s an experience worth trying different from your regular restaurants.
Great experience. Being able to reserve outside seating was phenomenal and they're still doing gluten free (many places have dropped this currently). Can't wait to go back!
Food was bland
Had a really nice meal with great flavors. Brianna, our server, was a delight!
so ca is one of the best restaurants in Raleigh. Their hospitality, ambiance, quality of food and cocktails, and creativeness all make for a special evening.
We had a great time at Soca. We went to celebrate two birthdays. My guesses enjoyed the ambiance, the food, the service. The waitress was darling, very attentive and sweet! I highly recommend it!
Great food, excellent service, nice people. Outdoor dining is Covid-safe. Top notch!
Very romantic. Some of the best food I have had in Raleigh. Great for date night
One of our favorite restaurants anywhere where the excellent food, service, ambience, and staff culture come together to deliver an amazing outcome! We're so happy the doors are open again! You'll not be disappointed.
Unique menu. Great food. Great venue. Wonderful service!
Soca never disappoints! Food was amazing! Drinks were delicious! All the staff was friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to go back!
The food is very good and the chef was very accommodating to our party that had some special dietary request not on the menu. I would recommend them for special occasions.
So pleased that so ca is back open again
They lost nothing of their culinary skills while closed
The small plates are innovative and excellent with some interesting new additions
Cocktails are great as are the wine choices mainly from South America
The pork cheeks are so good we could have made an evening just eating them
Outdoor seating is perfect these cool evenings
The food is absolutely fabulous! We loved the skewers the best as a small plate, and the empanadas, which amazingly are gluten-free, as well. The service was incredible. We felt duly spoiled by the time we left. Our cocktail was tasty, although not anything particularly spectacular. Eating at Soca is, overall, an event to remember!
So happy that SOCA is once again open for dinning. The food is great; the South American/latin flavors are unique and bold but never overpowering. Their wine selection is very good - if you're into an earthy wine the Lapostolle Carmenere is great. The Columbian Pan de Yuca appetizer is a must have; for the meat lovers the Adobo Tomahawk Pork Chop and the Brazilian Feijoada are also a must try. You'll also find seafood and vegetarian dishes.
The staff is just awesome - friendly and attentive, they and go out of their way to make your experience a great one! The decor is elegant and a great place to get celebrate your special occasion or just get together with friends.
SOCA is casual fine dining at its best!
Great food and great service. It was a bit cold outside but the service did everything to make it warm and enjoyable.
What a wonderful experience dining outside for our first experience at SOCA! The food and ambience was fantastic and we will definitely be back!
Great service! Delicious food, very clean and beautiful ambiance
Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the world. Small plates are a great size and packed with flavor. The specials are always innovative and well thought out. Cocktails are boozy and delicious. Samantha is the most wonderful server, we had a great night.
SOCA was awesome as always. Cocktails are well crafted. Salmon was perfect and the stuffed avocado is an excellent choice. i put moderate for noise level. we were outside. hard to control anything there. SOCA has done a great job in setting up great spaces outside for eating.
Super chic and delicious. Great date night or girls night out spot!
Food and service were great! Soca has a separate menu for Vegan options. Great choices for our entire party.
Food was quiet. Initially so was the service but server kinda disappeared after being us the entree.
The food is outstanding, as well as the customer service.
So ca never disappoints. Every dish ordered was amazing. The churrasco and the salmon , all delicious. And the desserts are like no other.
Compliments to the Chef!
great for date night or a casual night out with friends.
I love so•ca! It's my favorite restaurant in the Raleigh area. Food is always delicious and the service is always great.
Good small plates and nice outdoor seating. Enjoyed the options for red South American wines. Service was very good.
The large patio provided privacy and an outdoor heater for our table. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and made several excellent recommendations.
The food was exquisite with delightful presentation. Tuesday night is half-priced wine night so we enjoyed an excellent 2011 Santa Carolina Carménère.
Very nice entrees and awesome Tres Leches dessert
They adhered to social distancing, wore masks, and made it as fun as can be given the situation. Food was delicious and the cabanas were fun!
