   The food options are very limited and it took them so long to bring our food. We had to go a different restaurant afterwards because we barely got any food here. I would not recommend this place at all

   I was celebrating my birthday and my mom's this past weekend for lunch. The problem was that on Sunday the brunch menu goes to 1pm and it's not really brunch but rather all breakfast items so, if you go in to eat lunch at noon - you can't order anything off the lunch menu until 1pm. If they had a normal brunch menu with both breakfast and lunch type items this would be okay but, they don't so, I was a bit upset with that. Also, I used to really like the selection of food here but, we all felt like the menu has gotten a bit strange. It's almost like they are trying too hard to be unique and you end up sacrificing good food. So, I really hope they rethink the menu because there really isn't that much that looks appealing...

   Simon + Bar is a great place to pop in and have small plates with friends. The restaurant is short on atmosphere, and it clearly caters to the hotel crowd, but the food was well-prepared and the menu choices were varied enough to satisfy a group without sacrificing on quality. Service was attentive and the bar menu was adequate.

   Food quality was good. Menu is somewhat limited. There was only 1 steak listed, a 32 ounce beast. I asked and the waiter said they could do a 'Room Service' steak, which is 8 oz. why not just have that on the menu? We were there mid-week, Spring Break. The place looked empty when we arrived about 7:00. It did seem to fill up, later. Service was OK, but very slow. Understaffed? This restaurant has potential. There is a Kitchen + Bar in Austin that is fantastic. This has a ways to go.

   Went with a group of 11 on a Tuesday night. It was so dead inside - no one at booths at 6:30 and only a couple of people at the bar. The hotel itself seemed deserted (pun intended). We ordered a mix of appetizers and entrees. The Bacon Jam sounded interesting so we ordered that and to our surprise didn't look or taste anything like we imagined, however we really enjoyed it once we determined it tasted closely to BBQ pulled pork. A second round of oysters was ordered and the mac n cheese was quite tasty. The entrees took a quite a while and some of the people in our party complained about the wait; it could have been because two people ordered the massive amount of meat, the Bone-in 32 oz Ribeye, which was well received by those who ate it. The scallops were grilled and seasoned well and the halibut was ordered - fish was good but most did not like the sauce that came on top. Yes, we had a group with different food preferences so to that I would say this is a place for people who are open to trying new flavors using classic foods. I think the biggest draw back was the ambiance. It's just weird when you go into a restaurant and no one else is eating there. Our waiter was attentive and made plenty of recommendations. Lastly, the chocolate and peanut butter torte was on point. Great for sharing.

   Unfortunately, this is the quintessential overpriced, average food hotel restaurant. The food choices seemed haphazard, had no taste, and strangely presented. Considering how empty the place was, the service was poor and unprofessional.

   The service was slow and poor. The eggs were neon yellow and gross. The menu was limiting and expensive. A group of 6 of us went on Valentine's Day morning and were completely underwhelmed. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return.

    Went for dinner - had to choose from the lunch menu (mostly sandwiches) Had appetizers and went to the Thai restaurant next door. Waiter was extremely pleasant and accommodating.
