A leader on the Japanese dining scene, Shogun has been showing London the ways of sushi for more than a quarter of a century. Located within the fine Millennium Hotel London, Shogun has a surprisingly cosy interior complete with stone walls and typical Japanese artworks. A long time favourite of celebrities and the wealthy of surrounding Mayfair, this intimate restaurant offers discreet and obliging service from friendly and helpful staff who know the menu – made up of beautifully fresh hand-rolled sushi, tempura, sashimi and teriyaki - like the backs of their own hands. The drinks menu offers only saké, but of the very highest quality, brewed on Shikoku, the smallest of Japan’s four main islands.

Very attentive service without being overbearing. Sushi was incredibly fresh and excellent. I always know when I take friends to Shogun that we will not be disappointed.

The host and (I believe) co-owner at Shogun is sublime. She lights up the room and just shows she really cares, which to me makes all the difference. Too many restaurants nowadays merely function, and don't ooze that passion that they really ought to. So, an excellent welcome, chased with great food and service, and in such a cool cavern-like room, I can't fault this place. I hadn't been in almost a year and I'm glad to say it remains every bit as charming and good now as it was back then.

A cellar like room decorated with Armour, arrows and Shogun motifs, this restaurant has been here for many years, always producing top quality cooking. Their Dobin Mushi is the best and the quality of the fish is always excellent. It may seem expensive but don't forget, you are dining in Mayfair in some of the most expensive real estate on earth, so don't be surprised. As West End top flight Japanese restaurants go this is one of the best.

Had a great dinner at Caribbean Scene - the food was excellent as was the service and the decor, as a caribbean beachside restaurant, made us forget we were in rainy London temporarily! The hurricane platter and brown fish stew were particulary good.

Very enjoyable evening. Food was really good, especially the sushi which was fantastic. Service was good without being exceptional. Ambience a little quiet - would have expected it to be busier on a Saturday evening but we weren't 'scraping plates'.

Have been there several times already. The best sushi i've ever had in London. Every time is an amazing meal. Definitely will go back again.

The food at Carribean scene at ExCel Marina in London was delicious with exciting carribean flavours. It was good to be able to see the chefs cooking your food. There is a nice corner bar to chill in and the river view from the restaurant is beautiful and quite romantic at sunset. One improvement would be to avoid playing music containing profanity which cropped up once in a while.

Went to Shogun in Mayfair, restaurant has character, the food was lovely, the service not great. Ordered wine and never got it!
