Glad to see things going so well - great meal, thank you.
Self care Saturday night dinner for 1! I had a honey lavender Prosecco, well 3 because they were delicious! I started with Brussel sprouts which were great, but I should have gotten the caprese which I’ve had before and it’s amazing! I got the Piccata with veal for my main and it was to die for! If I could do this every week I would, but my wallet just isn’t as big of a fan as I am😆
local venue very nice ambience. Food very good. Waiter could have paid more attention to service provided.
The waiter was extremely slow. Great personality, joking and all. But slow. I think he thought like a lot of people do, that we weren’t gonna leave a tip. Even though his recommendation of the lasagna that really wasn’t that good and my own home made from scratch lasagna would run circles around this one, that I don’t believe had “real” ground beef and the slow service; I still gave him a 26% tip! The ravioli was exceptional. But I think the reviews of this place are over rated. I found it to be a 3-star rating at best.
Absolutely amazing food!
Shells and Sauce has always been a "go to" place for us. First visit post-pandemic and they're still doing a great job. Took a bit longer to get our food than ideal, and the meals came to the table at a temperature a little lower than one would hope, but overall back on track.
They say you have an hour and 15 min. We waited an hour and 30 for food and then when it came it came wrong. Do not come here
From adjusting my reservation to the amazing waiter (he had a phenomenal accent, just forgot his name!) to the pretty drinks and delicious ravioli… everything was amazing! Thank you, thank you. Will definitely be back.
Although we had a great table by a window and the service started out great things changed when we got our main course. Two of us ordered the tortellini tri-tip beef special and one of us had the veal; all three were overcooked with the meat very dry. The fourth entree, chicken Marsala, was excellent. In all fairness none of us complained about our entrees to our waiter.
But then, after our main course, we ordered two deserts; but, before they came we were given our bills and then our waiter thanked us for coming in. When we asked about our deserts our waiter responded with an “oh yeah” and hurried off to get them. Although we enjoyed much of the evening these two things definitely put a damper on our opinion of the restaurant.
I love this place but last night they rushed us through dinner and it wasn’t as enjoyable.
Excellent food and service. Outside area is well shaded and served very well by the wait staff.
Outstanding service. Delicious food. Great ambiance. Can’t wait to return!
Food was great. Service was painfully slow. Our waiter said they had three new cooks. If it’s true, they need to train them quickly.
Absolutely lovely place. Highly recommend the stuffed shells with chicken. Service was friendly and on point.
The food was remarkable!
Great Neighborhood restaurant with consistently good food at fair prices. The calamari was excellent fresh and not over cooked. The veal was very good. Wine list is not extensive but covers all of the bases.
Service was very slow. 20 minutes to get a beer after ordering. Overcooked calamari which was mixed with peppers and artichoke hearts. Salads not included with price of entree. Also, had a reservation and had to wait 15 minutes to get a table.
The service and feel of the restaurant is still great. What happened to the fresh bread and homemade recipes? This used to be our "Go-To" place for Italian, but the food is really bad now. The bread tasted like 3 day old bread from King Soopers--dry and not the signature freshly made bread that we expect. Also, the lasagna tasted like a Stouffer's meal that was filled with salt to add flavor.
I strongly suggest you get back to the old recipes and raise the prices a bit.
Friendly, unobtrusive wait staff and chef-prepared food that was flavorful. The menu had so many wonderful choices, we we must return to try more items. It’s a neighborhood gem.
Amazing food and so well priced. Highly recommend!
Great service and food as always - started with Burrata Salad and Crab Cakes - would order both again - just would ask for remoulade for Crab Cakes to come on the side. Daughter had the kid's spaghetti and meatball - huge portion for the money. Ended up taking home the Elizabeth pasta as so full afer apps! Great neighborhood Italian spot...
One of our all-time favorite places for happy hour and/or dinner. A fun treat for this time, and, as usual and hit all the high marks! Lucked out that our reservation got us right in, and definitely scored some great leftovers to take home. Try the bread pudding: wow!
The staff was phenomenal and the food incredible!! Will be back for sure!!
A very good dining experience. Our waiter was very helpful. The meal was very good. We ate upstairs and the only downside was that it was very noisy. It may have been that the table next to us was very loud. It made it difficult to carry on a converation.
The food, service, and atmosphere were great. Try the stuffed shells!
The food is every bit as phenomenal as the service. This restaurant remains a hidden gem!
We love this restaurant. We love that the service and the food is always/consistently great. I do have to mention that the new decor and interiors have really taken away from the ambiance. Understanding that COVID forced some hands, the color scheme and lighting are really unfortunate. Although admittedly a designer, the four other adults who joined us felt the same.
Great as always. Love the new decor. Our meal was delicious and the staff was efficient and professional.
Mother’s Day brunch
Wonderful neighborhood gem. Great service and wonderful wine list. We so enjoyed our dinner. The food is very rich and lots of garlic but made with care. We will absolutely return and enjoy another memorable evening.
Great service from start to finish
delicious and consistent as always!
All I can say is this rest
Jamie was an outstanding server. He is very intuitive and made our dining experience great.
Great, friendly service. Excellent food. We will return.
Ate here during restaurant week. Amazing value for the $. Huge portions and any pick from the menu. It was delicious. Bravo to Shells and Sauce! Will definitely return and refer to friends.
Food and the price are amazing! I would recommend opening up the roof top patio vs. having it enclosed. Overall, great service, food and value!
Seated upstairs with little social distancing and no ventilation. Food was okay but nothing spectacular. No salad or bread with an $18 entree of pasta.
