The wood-fire oven is central to both the menu and the dining experience, from the incredible homemade, wood-fired pita to vegetable-centric small plates and heartier entrees. Many of the dishes on the diverse menu are meant to be shared and enjoyed throughout many courses.

Great food and plenty of options for vegans/ vegetarians. We had a wonderful evening.
Amazing service and delicious food!
Everything was great from the service to the food. I’ll be back!
The salmon with corn was very very vinegary. The hummus was incredible as always, everything else was great. Just think something went wrong with the salmon. It was fresh and other than that would’ve been good had they put less vinegar
Not as good as my first visit. Probably because it was Monday night. Staff seemed lethargic. Ikra was as great without the caviar. Red shrimp were a little overcooked.
Will give it another try, though.
Great service and terrific food. Received a complimentary hummus with squash. Delicious. Great experience.
I LOVED it here. The name, the ambiance, the food, everything!!!
excellent hummus and homemade pita bread
highly recommend the fired chicken hummus
The appetizer options are a good way to go. Large dishes (esp after filling up on pita and hummus) can be easily split between two people, and the babka dessert was absolutely phenomenal!
So delicious!! Fried chicken hummus and flank steak were so well done. We will be back! Really good food here.
Nice ambience, great neighborhood gem and excellent wait staff, best legof lamb!
Amazing spot and amazing food! Compliments to the chef and staff for a tremendous evening.
Lunch special for $22 was fantastic
Outstanding as usual. Everything we had was delicious.
Shaya never disappoints. The food and service are always outstanding. It is always a pleasure to dine here.
We had many small plates and loved every single bite! Great staff and really appreciate them checking our vaccination cards to help take care of this great community!
It exceeded our expectations everything was perfect. The food was exquisite, flavorful and perfectly made. The portions were good, the prices are accordingly and Our server was the sweetest. Uhhh that pita bread can’t be defeated. Loved the ambience, I will be definitely recommending this place to everyone!!! I can say this is my new fave restaurant in Nola
Delicious and unique!
Great all around experience
The food that I had was at a higher level of subtlety and sophistication. Even though I wasn't able to get a reservation until 9:00 PM and I was staying almost 45 minutes away, the experience was worth it!
Great for birthday celebration with by friend. They were accomdating and food was fantastic!
Food very good and unique (Mediterranean/ Israel cuisine). Nice cocktail menu. Vibe on first floor is more energetic and lively than second floor which seems to be an after thought. When I return, I will request first floor seating and you should
Celebrating moving my Daughter to LA
Coolinary appetizers were excellent, the entree options were good, fries flavorful and crisp but chicken dry. Shrimp were not deveined and couscous a little dry and overwhelming. We loved the falafel we added and the warm pita delicious and plentiful
The food was amazing, which is my experience each time I’ve eaten at Shaya!
And thanks to having my birthday listed in OpenTable, the waiter surprised us with a dessert on the house as a gift!
This is a regular stop when I visit New Orleans, and it will stay on that list for a visit when I return.
It was perfect. Something different and delicious.
I have been coming here for years. This was my favorite Shaya experience to date. The best dessert I have ever had. The Babka was so delicious. We ordered one to go. Top notch.
We went to celebrate paying off our debt. The host was so funny, he was just as excited when we told him what we were celebrating. Wait staff was awesome and even told about their happy hours during the week.
The food and the atmosphere were amazing. The pita was fantastic I could have just eaten that all night.
Delicious food with outstanding service. Cauliflower hummus, pita bread, & grilled shrimp were exceptional.
Meal was very good, especially the pita and hummus. Our meats on the entrees were slightly over cooked and it seemed like
It was great.
Shaya did a beautiful job with 7 of us. And the food is amazing!
Recommended by two different people. Glad I went. Everything was excellent! The Lamb Ragu Hummus was an unexpected delight!
Coolinary menu was spectacular. We tried every selection, and the lamb ragu hummus was my favorite.
Great food and delicious presentation ! Deff reccomeny
awesome food. great service. would recommend and would definitely go back
We were entertaining out of town guests who specifically wanted to dine at Shaya. I booked the reservation and could not have been more pleased! Do NOT miss the lamb - it is spectacular. Thank you Shaya for a memorable meal - we will be back!
