We had a wonderful dinner visiting with family while in town for work. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Colorado!
Treated like we were special. It was anniversary so they did a lot to make it pleasant for us. Our waiter was very helpful and suggested a very good entree.thanks
The overall expirence was just great. The seating was a bit close from one table to another. the wait staff keep trying to slip by while we were eating to help service other customers.
Birthday celebration
Was my son's 18th birthday. They made us wait 25 minutes then gave us a table next to the bathroom. The waiter must have gone to France because we never saw him again. They forgot the birthday desert until we got up to leave. Some of our food was cold and worst of all they gave the birthday boy food with gluten in it despite telling the server he had celiac disease and to check that all his food was GF. As a result he was up all night sick and had to withdraw from a major tennis tournament. Terrible night, despite seven years of our patronage.. THEY WILL NEVER SEE OUR FAMILY AGAIN.
The food was, on the whole, great. The aged steak was somewhat tough. Our waiter was excellent. Unfortunately I did no get his name.
Service was wonderful. Food was amazing. Can't wait to go back. Our new favorite steakhouse.
Great overall but hard to hear simple conversation over piped in music!
I brought my Mom here for her birthday along with some family and the service is out of this world! The waiter was very attentive and fun to talk to which made the experience extremely comfortable for everybody. Everybody around the table was very complimentary of the steaks and I very much enjoyed the caprese/burrata salad as well as the vegetable plate! Vegetarians should ask their waiter for meat free options because there are several great options that are not on the menu. Overall experience was fantastic!
Always great food !!
The food and service were excellent. I wish the noise level a a bit low considering we were there for an anniversary dinner, nevertheless, we did enjoy the beautiful facility and overall quality.
Truly outstanding food with a first rate wine list and excellent service. I'd say that our experience was entirely flawless. This was a 4 person business dinner. I requested through OT that our table be in a quiet corner, off the beaten path, and they delivered.
We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and we were seated at a beautiful booth covered with red rose petals within 5 minutes of our arrival. We were here to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Our waitress was Lisa and she was outstanding. She was so pleasant, professional and a real joy to have take case of us. We had an appetizer, salads, entrees (1 Turf and 1 Surf & Turf) and shared 2 sides. Everything was just wonderful. Lisa paced our dinner wonderfully and we never felt rushed to finish anything. Her timing on cocktails were spot on. We rarely have dessert, but we indulged and had dessert which was fabulous as well. The manager came by twice to see how our dinner was. We have plenty to bring home. Shanahan's has become our go to restaurant for special occasions or any time we want a fine dining experience. Thank all of your staff for taking such good care of us on our 30th Anniversary. (Our only issue was the loud music which made the large parties at round tables right by our booth very difficult to hear each other right across from one another. Lower music may result in lower voices)
I have dined at Shanahan's many times in the past and have always had a very good experience until Tuesday night. I had reserved a table in the restaurant but even with a reservation, there was a wait. The hostess ask if I would be willing to sit at a table in the bar. This was a huge mistake. The two people sitting at the table next to us were insanely loud and obnoxious. They were obviously drunk but the server just kept on bringing them drinks. They were so loud that my business associate and I could barely hear each other speak. Also, I felt my steak was just mediocre and not the same quality as I have experienced in the past. Not sure if it was just a bad night for the restaurant or if there have been some changes. I hope bad night. I will go back but will be cautious.
Very crowded for a Tuesday night -mostly business men on an expense allowance. Food was good, but not outstanding for the price.
escargot was exceptional, oysters were a little small, Kansas City dry aged strip was to die for. Only thing that was disappointing was the lyonnaise potatoes-thyme or rosemary was added and it just overwhelmed the beautiful flavor of my steak. But I would absolutely return!
Shanahan's continues to impress. We celebrated our anniversary tonight and Shanahan's did not disappoint. The table was nicely decorated and the service was excellent. The food came out timely and was perfect. Nothing could have been done differently. An absolute perfect experience! We will definitely be back.
You can't go wrong with anything at Shanahan's!! We all ordered the Sunday deal, it's a lot of food for $60. Dean was a fabulous server and made our dinner such a pleasurable experience. The manager came over to say hello and ask how everything was....very classy. I cannot wait to go back!!
Amazing restaurant with great food and outstanding service.
Make sure and say Hi to Mary, one of my favorite managers.
Always makes you feel special and welcome. Best Steak and Service in town.
We made a 7:15 reservation and didn’t get seated until 8:00.
The food was great and the service was outstanding.
Great dinner to celebrate a college acceptance!
Excellent site for any occasion and especially for special occasions.
Easter dinner at Shanahan's. As always they did not disappoint. We had the 3-course $69 Easter special and it was very good. Generous portions, and the lobster bisque was especially yummy !
First the pluses: Server was very attentive and personable; water continuously refilled; some of the dishes were excellent; chairs very comfortable.
Negatives: 1) Music too loud. This is a restaurant, not a night club. This makes conversation difficult. I had to wear earplugs, but then had difficulty hearing my companions; had to keep loosening the earplugs to hear them, but then would be subjected to the loud music. There is just NO excuse for this; forces EVERYONE to speak louder. The result is a loud dining experience, which shouldn't be the case for a steakhouse. This isn't Gunther Toody's.
2) Water wasn't cold enough.
3) One of the assistant servers had bitten nails--and, they were dirty. Restaurants should not hire nail biters. Chewed-up fingertips within inches of my face and plate as he did his job at the table -- very gross.
4) Too much peppercorn on my lamb chops.
5) Chocolate cake was awful. Did not taste like chocolate, but like some alien flavor I couldn't even identify. One of my companions fully concurred.
I gave three stars because there were so many dishes yet to try, and I'm sure that if I go again I will be more pleased, especially if I ask for the peppercorn to be on the side, and ice in the water.
There was nothing special. I am really disappointed for some reason below:
1. It was my wife’s birthday but nothing was done nor recognized at all.
2. Manager ask everyone around us about their meal but not one time cane over to our table.
3. Why ask about special occasions when they don’t do anything
4. The service was ok.
I am certainly thinking of never going there again.
Food was excellent, far above Morton's, and the Fort. Our waitress was absolutely the best, took care of my Mother-in-Law and us very well. A definite WOW experience for Easter.
Good experience
Shanahans steakhouse is the premium place to go for a meal in the DTC area, so it isn't cheap. That being said, we like to treat ourselves once a year and get a delicious steak or lobster tail that melts in your mouth. They have an extensive wine selection, cocktails and beer are also available, and a great variety of food options if steak isn't your thing.
My wife and I both can't understand why families come to such nice restaurants with little kids. If that hadn't happened, we would have scored this outing higher. The steaks were excellent.
It was Awesome, as always!
Celebrated two birthdays
Great experience.
The appetizers and steak and dessert exceeded our expectations. The one small disappointment was the trout was a little dry. The service was exceptional. This was our first visit to Shanahan's Steakhouse and we plan to return to try more of the entrees.
We wanted a nice special restaurant in which to celebrate two family birthdays. Those that ordered fillet enjoyed their meal. The prime rib however was tough and overcooked even when ordered rare. My brother's was actually uneatable and I had to give him half of my fillet.
Very disappointing experience and the meal plus tip was over $600. It was noisy - music too loud and our waiter was nonchalant. We probably will not go back. Extremely expensive for the quality of food and service.
Husbands birthday. Two friends joined us. They had never been to Shanahan’s. Totally enjoyed the experience.
Perfect night for new parents :)
Never had been here before. Made our reservation a month in advance and was somewhat disappointed. Two people, $300 later, and felt just okay afterwards. Food was delicious, service was okay, but for that kind of money, I guess we expected to be "blown away" in a good way but it just didn't happen. Not sure if we'll go back.
Great food as always but we were seated in the bar area which loses a little of the ambiance with the huge flat screen so close
Had a 6:45pm reservation and arrived on the dot. Hostess informed us they were running behind and invited us to order drinks at the bar, which was very crowded. We were not seated until 7:15pm after waiting 30 minutes. Once seated it took another 8-10 minutes for our server to come greet us. We were expecting a high-end dining experience with 5-star service, and almost walked out twice. Food was excellent but it was disappointing to have a 6:45 reservation and have to stand around for 30 minutes and order our first appetizer 40 minutes after arrival.
