I have been coming here for probably 25 years and they never fail to please.
Service here is always exemplary and the food is typically outstanding.
Great service and food.
Recently re-opened to allow seating in the enclosed patio area.
Nice to have A/C, since evenings are still pretty warm in Rancho Mirage.
Single use paper menus due to Covid conditions. Great atmosphere.
In normal times a vibrant and always full restaurant is now serving on the sourounding patio with proper table distancing and quiet but very pleasant atmosphere. What has not changed is the enormous menu of delicious dishes very well prepared and extraordinary great service. Thank you.
Always outstanding. Exceptional value and friendly attentive service.
In spite of Covid19 restrictions the staff made it as nice as usual. The patio was quiet and comfortable.
We introduced new friends to this lovely restaurant. The four of us had an early reservation (5:15) and were seated in the patio section of the restaurant. Nice table, with windows allowing air to circulate ( however, they also let in some road noise). We enjoyed large cocktails and a well paced meal. No rush, just easy flow. Great food, crab cakes, steak and of course liver! Our friends were impressed and will be back. Enjoyable evening!
Great the they have opened again. One of our favorite places. All was good. Definitely will be back.
Such a wonderful evening out for my husbands Birthday!!
The service, as always, was amazing and the menu was plentiful!
We enjoyed every minute, as usual!
I had the filet with blue cheese the meat was cooked to perfection the sides were delicious. My husband had the Penni pasta with shrimp and sausage also a winner. Good size portions we both took some home
Always a great place for dinner.
We are always happy to come here when we visit the desert. The service food and ambiance is wonderful. Sad due to the Covid that it was sparse, but we did enjoy ourselves. We were there for my husbands birthday which they acknowledged with a card. After we sat down. Enjoyed our dinner. There were others around us celebrating an aniversary and 2 other biryhdays. They all received a candle lit cake. We unfortunately did not. I let the hostess know as we left, and she said she would pass it on to the manager. Did not hear back from them. Just a small jesture makes a huge impact. Especially when celebrating a special day which left us sour even after a great dinner. Will we go back. Yes absolutely.
As usual, Shame One The Moon was "over-the-moon." SOTM, is our go to place for special occasions , as well as stopping by for a great cocktail from time to time.
Thank you. We'll be back!
Cosmo's are usually the best in the valley. They were awful.
Dinner was the worst we have ever had here. Moms liver and onions was pounded so thin, she couldnt eat it. Husbands steak was served almost raw. My tuna was ok, the shredded carrots were the vegetable and they were already in the salad. With so many restaurants to choose in the desert, our days at this restaurant are over.
Always consistent and very good. Service is great and unobtrusive.
The food is always delicious. Me and my friends have been patronizing this restaurant for years.
Great food and service.
One of our favorite places. Wonderful dining experience!
Perfect martinis. Great Caesar Salad with anchovies. Very good Flank Steak- sauce is amazing. Peanut Butter Pie- a must- but share!
Always a great experience, food and cocktails are fantastic!
We were relieved to see that Shame on the Moon was taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. They limited the number of tables that were used which created more than 6 feet of distance between tables that were occupied. Staff wore masks and customers were required to wear masks except when dining. By the way, the service and food were excellent! The salmon was some of the best I've had. We look forward to returning.
The food the the cocktails and the waiters were outstanding I'm happy I choose this to celebrate my husband of 40 yrs his 70 milestone
Very glad to see the re-opening and reasonable crowd for a Wednesday night! A very few small kinks being worked out after the Covid-19 related closure but service was outstanding as usual - only real quibble was far too much soy sauce on my partner's stirfry vegetables accompanying the ahi tuna. My flank steak was cooked exactly as ordered and all else was good. Would give a 4.7 overall rating if that were an option.
We have been regular patrons since this restaurant was Elroy’s, and always look forward to coming back.
Our first time out after restaurants were opened. Shane On The Moon is very close to our home - everything was wonderful - I missed not be able to sit at the bar - c”est la vie
Have eaten here many times; favorite restaurant in the valley!!
Birthday celebration. There was a birthday card on the table and a free birthday dessert. Nice touch.
Our first time to Shame on the Moon was no disappointment. Everything was great. The ambiance, service, and food are excellent. We will be back soon.
Best meal for the dollar in the Valley. Hope it doesn’t change under the new management.
Shame on the Moon has always been one of my favorite restaurants. While we had to do social distancing it was nice to see that they hadn't removed the tables. Just put flowers on the ones in the middle of social distancing. Saw that the restaurant has been sold and is in escrow. Hope the new owners keep the same staff. Our evening was very enjoyable.
Great food and service as always.
Food and service were excellent!
One of our favorite restaurants.
Palm Desert staple. They did the very best job of serving us a night before the pre Corona shut down
One male server you have is a little snappy with the customers. I can't say I am fond of him too much.
All staff is excellent...
We missed the home baked rolls.
Love the ambience and the food!
Location perfect between Rancho Mirage and Palm Spring s!
Always bring our friends!
We go to Shame On The Moon every March for the last 20 years. It is one of our favorite places for dinner. We have never had a bad meal.
It is the only restaurant that serves seven ribs for the rack of lamb which is excellent that I know of.
Hadn’t been in years, but it will become more of a regular. Same decor and ambience
the 4 meals were fantastic. energetic and fun service.
Would highly recommend for a great meal and time.
