Love the liver and onions. My fave.
We were seated on time but in the 'cheap seats' in back. There was plenty of space to place us in the main, more intimate dining room. The food was lackluster at best and our server was about as beige as they come. Our water person had more personality. Considering it was a planned anniversary dinner I'd expected more. Previous dinners had been marvelous with a fantastic server, nice ambiance and a much better table. It may be that we've had our last meal with Shame on the Moon.
Not quite the same due to COVID-19 requirements. New waitstaff not on their toes like the old timer waiters who had been there for years. Food was decent. Disappointed that no gazpacho was in the menu. One of the best soups. Should be on the menu year round. We’ll be back as we have for the last 30 years.
Excellent food, welcoming staff, prompt, efficient and accurate wait staff. Good prices, generous drinks! Excellent experience.
The service was excellent. The food was delicious. We had a lovely meal. The veal meatloaf was very tasty.
Because of Covid-19 restrictions there were probably a maximum of only 10 tables occupied on 10/15/2020. The menu was modified so there were only a dozen choices. Our meal was outstanding and the service was the best as usual.
We love Shame on the Moon and have been coming for years! It’s our fave. Thank you for always giving us great service and yummy food! Xo
Fourth time dining at this restaurant and it’s always wonderful! Food excellent, the service fabulous!
Our table was ready when we arrived. The paper menus were dropped on the table and no specials were discussed. We did hear the specials being announced to other diners. The wine list was good, but the dinner selections were limited. However, I don't blame them with the current guidelines.
The food and service were good. Not as good as I remember from before, but I believe that has to do more with Covid issues.
We enjoyed our dinner.
The wife had the filet mignon, I had the rack of lamb, both were cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the shame on the moon is one of the best
Very attentive staff and nice ambience!
Love the table distancing in the patio area....
Not comfortable with their very lax Covid protections. Won’t return unless they have true outdoor dining by converting the parking lot, for example. Staff should have face shields and we didn’t need 5 different staff coming to our table, sometimes multiple staff at the table at the same time. That’s just nuts.
First time there. Enjoyed the experience
We have consistently been very disappointed with their policy of not permitting separate checks at the table. Many people prefer to order additional food and drinks but feel limited when dining with people who don’t.
We love Shame on the Moon! We try to go every time we're in the area. The Cosmos are to die for! And, they did an excellent job adhering to COVID protocols. Everything felt very, very safe. Highly recommend.
It was wonderful to be able to enjoy a wonderful meal and excellent service at Shame on the Moon. They never disappoint!
Birthday dinner. Very nice
I have been coming here for probably 25 years and they never fail to please.
Service here is always exemplary and the food is typically outstanding.
Great service and food.
Fantastic dinner and terrific service. They have adapted well to COVID-19 restrictions and have done a great job to maintain a healthy and safe dining environment.
Recently re-opened to allow seating in the enclosed patio area.
Nice to have A/C, since evenings are still pretty warm in Rancho Mirage.
Single use paper menus due to Covid conditions. Great atmosphere.
In normal times a vibrant and always full restaurant is now serving on the sourounding patio with proper table distancing and quiet but very pleasant atmosphere. What has not changed is the enormous menu of delicious dishes very well prepared and extraordinary great service. Thank you.
Always outstanding. Exceptional value and friendly attentive service.
In spite of Covid19 restrictions the staff made it as nice as usual. The patio was quiet and comfortable.
We introduced new friends to this lovely restaurant. The four of us had an early reservation (5:15) and were seated in the patio section of the restaurant. Nice table, with windows allowing air to circulate ( however, they also let in some road noise). We enjoyed large cocktails and a well paced meal. No rush, just easy flow. Great food, crab cakes, steak and of course liver! Our friends were impressed and will be back. Enjoyable evening!
Great the they have opened again. One of our favorite places. All was good. Definitely will be back.
Such a wonderful evening out for my husbands Birthday!!
The service, as always, was amazing and the menu was plentiful!
We enjoyed every minute, as usual!
I had the filet with blue cheese the meat was cooked to perfection the sides were delicious. My husband had the Penni pasta with shrimp and sausage also a winner. Good size portions we both took some home
Always a great place for dinner.
We are always happy to come here when we visit the desert. The service food and ambiance is wonderful. Sad due to the Covid that it was sparse, but we did enjoy ourselves. We were there for my husbands birthday which they acknowledged with a card. After we sat down. Enjoyed our dinner. There were others around us celebrating an aniversary and 2 other biryhdays. They all received a candle lit cake. We unfortunately did not. I let the hostess know as we left, and she said she would pass it on to the manager. Did not hear back from them. Just a small jesture makes a huge impact. Especially when celebrating a special day which left us sour even after a great dinner. Will we go back. Yes absolutely.
As usual, Shame One The Moon was "over-the-moon." SOTM, is our go to place for special occasions , as well as stopping by for a great cocktail from time to time.
Thank you. We'll be back!
Cosmo's are usually the best in the valley. They were awful.
Dinner was the worst we have ever had here. Moms liver and onions was pounded so thin, she couldnt eat it. Husbands steak was served almost raw. My tuna was ok, the shredded carrots were the vegetable and they were already in the salad. With so many restaurants to choose in the desert, our days at this restaurant are over.
Always consistent and very good. Service is great and unobtrusive.
The food is always delicious. Me and my friends have been patronizing this restaurant for years.
Great food and service.
One of our favorite places. Wonderful dining experience!
Perfect martinis. Great Caesar Salad with anchovies. Very good Flank Steak- sauce is amazing. Peanut Butter Pie- a must- but share!
Always a great experience, food and cocktails are fantastic!
We were relieved to see that Shame on the Moon was taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. They limited the number of tables that were used which created more than 6 feet of distance between tables that were occupied. Staff wore masks and customers were required to wear masks except when dining. By the way, the service and food were excellent! The salmon was some of the best I've had. We look forward to returning.
