Named after a Himalayan flower, Shafali is a fine dining restaurant that serves authentic Indian and Bengali cuisine in an exotic ambiance. The restaurant prides itself on introducing the palate of the local community to the rich flavors of freshly prepared Indian food. Shafali's specialty dish chicken tikka wraps was the part of Ottawa Magazine's ‘101 Tastes to Try Before You Die' list. Filled with mildly marinated chicken breast roasted on skewers in a tandoori oven, chicken tikka wraps is a flavorsome dish with low calorie content. The food menu of Shafali comprises of several different sections, including Indian wraps, soups and salad, appetizers, curries, rice dishes, condiments and desserts. Apart from chicken tikka wraps, some other specialties of the restaurant include jhalfrezi, malai curry, korma, rogan josh and dhansak.

    We did not eat at this place because the owner did not look at the reservation on open table! There was no table for us and we had to go somewhere else... on a saturday evening! We do not recommend at all that place. The owner did not make any effort to arrange things.

    Good food. Excellent service. Family owned and they care. A little noisy for a few minutes but the loud mouths - why do people feel they have to shout in restaurants? - quieted down with mouths full of food! Recommended!!
