The waiter was great but our food came out cold. We couldn’t even eat it we literally boxed it up and took it home.
Awful experience. Wrote a review on yelp and they don’t have the space for it here.
Needless to say, would not recommend for any occasion.
We had a reservation for 8:15 and were not sat until at least 8:45. Our potatoes were brought out 30 minutes before the rest of our food and were cold by the time we ate. The Valentine’s Day deal said a free bottle of wine with 2 entrees and we ended up paying for one. Overall it wasn’t a great experience for the price we paid.
Rich was the best waiter and maybe the evening perfect!
Had a reservation at 7:15pm and didn't get seated until about 25- 30 minutes after our reservation time and then it took about 15 or more minutes for our server to come to our table.
Started out by getting seated late by 20 minutes, we were greeted with complimentary rose.
Once sat it would be over two hours before we ate, the unfortunate part was, I had to spend my entire date hungry as did my girlfriend. The advertisement on the web page stated a complimentary bottle of champagne and a complimentary dessert with two entrees which we got plus we ordered a bottle of wine.
We never got the champagne or the dessert, in fact we barely saw the waiter most parts of the night. The only service that was outstanding was the water service. What’s sad is, this was a special occasion and we spent most of the night talking about ditching out of there and grabbing a cheeseburger.
Not my most memorable Valentine’s Day date. The best part of the night was my date which sets the bar high, nice service, good food, and expedition would have made a greater memory for us.
Reservation was at 6pm. We got seated right away, but it took a while for the waitress to come by to order drinks. Then it took some more time for us to put order in. It took almost an hour and 30 minutes to get the appetizer, by this time it was like 7:40pm. We were starving by now. Food finally came around 8:00pm. I know it was Valentines Day, but there should be no surprise that it was going to be busy and the staff should’ve been ready for a busy night. We got our food and it was very flavorful. I had ordered my steak to be cooked medium, but it was more like medium well to well done. I was very disappointed because this was suppose to be a steakhouse, and this was just the cherry on top, after waiting almost 2 hours for my food. I decided to just eat as much steak as I can, given that the steak was $45. Management was kind enough to take the steak off the bill, but the overall experience wasn’t the best, especially because it was Valentines Day and was looking forward to good food. Not sure if I’ll be going back.

We went of Valentine's Day. First the positives; they gave each lady a red rose and each table a complimentary desert. Piano music too (but so noisy you couldn't hear it) All a nice touch. The surf and turf for $75 a plate was very good and the red wine reduction was excellent. The problem was my wife's plate had to be "re-plated" because she ordered a non-dairy substitution for her vegetable. Our server did take her plate back and provided a substitution. However, although this was done in only 4-5 minutes, my plate turned cold while I waited. With a $50 bottle of wine we were out of there with a $288 bill with taxes and tip. I would expect better service without the issues.
We were there for over 2.5 hours. Food took over an hour to get to our table and was only warm when it arrived. It was good though! It was decorated with red lights and balloons. Kinda cheesey. We paid $200 for 2 meals 2 glasses of wine and an appetizer. Not worth it. Won't go back.
Great experience! Brought a rose with to the table which was a great touch. The noise level wasn’t to loud which was great I really appreciated a lot.
The restaurant was very nice and in a great location. Our meal was excellent. The only downside to our experience was a lack of attentiveness by our server as we waited nearly 25 minutes to see him so that we could ask for our check.
They were considerate and accommodating. The food was delicious and well portioned. My date was very happy and dessert was sweet, but not cloying.
Overall it was a good experience. My mom was there for her 50th birthday with her friends and this is her review:
The server was very nice, but didn’t really come back to check on us after she took our drink and food order. Other servers brought our food and one of my friends wasn’t pleased with what she got and was going to order something different, but again, she never came back to check on us. We never got a refill on our sodas and were never asked if we wanted one. We were there for about an hour and a half.
Overall experience was very good, would have liked to be further away from front door, when occasional cold breeze came into room when door opened. Also the girls/women were a little bit chilly with backs to the windows.
Not as thrilled with the side of Lobster Hash browns, as advertised....there were no hash browns and very much lobster and mostly potatoes?? Otherwise my Filet Minion was great and everyone else’s meals were great and the drinks were great!
Loved our dinner tonight! The eight of us had steaks, seafood and sushi.
Everyone loved their meals. We had great service and plenty to share. Great suggestions from the staff! Would definitely go back!

We stop here most times we dine in Minneapolis and we are never disappointed!
Average! I won’t be going back. For that kind of money I expect excellent. The food wasn’t bad but it was nothing special either. I can cook a steak at home for half the price that is better than what I got at Seven.

We went to 7 to celebrate a birthday. A few years ago we had the best steak, hands down, of any establishment in the metro area. Our experience this night was very different on this visit. The restaurant was nearly empty. Our server was at times wonderfully attentive, but also missing for long stretches of time, with our eight diners left with empty glasses. At our past visit, the entrees and sides were amazing. This visit, even the classics disappointed. Much of the sides were left untouched. Even the macaroni and mashed potatoes were mostly left behind. The crab cakes were very disappointing. The king crab was delicious. A few of us ordered the bone in filet mignon. It was good, but not worthy of raves nor the price. At our prior visit, it was worth every penny. We go to many high end steak houses in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Wayzata. Unfortunately I would no longer include 7 in their ranks. Its rooftop bar is beautiful in the summer, so perhaps we will give it another chance in a few months. Our server was impeccable and helpful when she was around, but there were many times she was nowhere to be seen and there were no other servers to flag down as the place was nearly empty.

I emailed the restaurant the night of my reservation & received no response. I would not recommend this restaurant which I've eaten at about a half a dozen times. My husband and I didn't receive our meals for over an hour & half. We ordered the 10 oz filet mignon, hashbrowns (which were recommended by our server), mushrooms, and lobster mac n cheese. We requested the steaks be cooked medium rare, which they were medium in the very center, otherwise medium well. The hasbrowns were extremely salty to the point we could only take a few bites (I love salt so this was very bad), the lobster mac n cheese only had two pieces of lobster and a few shredded strings of lobster in the dish. The mushrooms were awesome and so was the Firecracker sushi roll.
We were both very cold and so were other patrons, I made a comment to our server and he suggested I put on my coat which I was already wearing a crewneck wool blend sweater over a tank top. I don't think I should have to eat my dinner while wearing my winter coat. This was a waste of almost $250.00!! I ordered one drink, the 007 Royale which was very good but not enjoyable in shivering while placing a martini glass to my lips.

Haven't been here since new ownership. Trying to celebrate NYE with another couple who frequents here and was totally let down. 1 sushi roll took an hour. The rest of the dinner order took 2 hours before showing up cold, overcooked and inedible. The server was trying his best to fix the situation, but the management (a joke) didn't try to salvage repeat regulars to save their lives.

Never got food.
Reservations were at 7:30pm for a 5 course pre-fixed dinner. We got our 4th course at 11:10pm and the 3rd course never even came out. By 11:30pm we gave up on waiting for dessert. Never again will I dine there. Thought it would be better with new management but it still sucked.

Based off this visit, I would not recommend. Half the food was burned, over cooked and / or over salted. Dinner took 3 hrs and was not worth the price all said and done. Wished we’d have chosen anywhere else.

We had a lovely time! The hamachi jalapeño appetizer was amazing and the Gaby Gaby roll is a new favorite.
We wanted a nice steak diner to celebrate the end of 2019. We all have plans to celebrate the new year at home.
Our reservation was at 7pm for 8 people.
It took us 4 hrs and 15 min to get out of Seven Steakhouse. Needles to say, very POOR SERVICE, food service really SLOW to get to the table and it turned an expected nice celebration in a nightmare WAITING for everything.
Yes, the server offer additional wine at no cost and other minor items but it was just a disaster of a diner event.
We will not go there in the near future or perhaps never.
Food, location with valet, and service very good. Glad we chose second appetizer over salad. Our fillets cooked exactly to our desire.
I hadn’t ate here before and was told they had amazing food. That was an understatement.
It was beyond delicious. The staff are amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful and you can actually have a conversation and enjoy it.

In all the madness of downtown Seven is an oasis of civility good food and excellent service! I love treating myself there because I KNOW I will be treated like royalty and come away perfectly satisfied!
Seven never disappoints. I would love it if the app had tighter tolerances (subject to availability of course). For example, I reserved a table at 3:00pm in the afternoon for a 6:30pm timeslot. I really wanted a reservation for 6pm but that was not an option. When we arrived at 6:20pm there were clearly lots of tables open - so we would have been able to start at 6pm.
The staff, of course, seated us right away and as always fantastic. Our server was Luke and he is outstanding.

Alex,our waiter, was outstanding. He was so helpful with suggestions and didn’t steer us wrong! Liked that the staff was attentive to our table as well. I believe the manager made his rounds a few times to ensure the guests were having a great experience as well. We will definitely go back! Kudos to Seven and their staff!

TERRIBLE service from hostess & waitress. Food was bland, overpriced and poorly prepared.
