Really weird service experience. Waitress’ timing was off and very shy.

Food was a little less special than on our previous visits (eg, the $9 piece of bread was only half cooked and solid / moist at the bottom). They have weird rules like not serving guac to tables after 5pm (frustrating when everyone around you has it, but it’s unavailable due to the happy hour menu being over?). Overall kinda expensive and meh today.

Great fun, we went there for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and it was lovely. The service was a dream. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. They started us off with a complementary glass of bubbles, and after that we had a banana and mezcal drink that was yummy. Also drank some Spanish wine , very enjoyable. Ordered some apps, and a Tuna Ceviche (more like a poke) that were just okay... Then came the lamb and it was mind blowing...braised and seasoned with cherry lamb jus...soooo good. The wood fired and tasty seasoned carrots...that I ate without a fork and more like a bunny were fab. The watermelon sorbet, for dessert, with some peanutty crunch on top was delish! All in all a great night was had by all. Thanks Senor Bear Staff.

The food was good but not great and it was incredibly expensive for very meager portions. Because the portions are so tiny, they upsell the sides. I personally had one NA drink, one entree, one slice of bread, and one portion of a shared appetizer (3 people, 2 bites each), for $65. I didn’t leave hungry but I’m not a fan of restaurants that are overpriced just because they’re trendy so I have no plans to go back.

Music too loud inside, no indication as to which foods might be more or less spicy and all a bit pricey. That said the food and service was, overall, very good.

The food, beverages and service were outstanding. A truly unique offering that sets Senor Bear apart from other Latin restaurants in Denver. It is warm and inviting and I always learn something new when I dine here.
