Scott’s on the Richmond riverside is a seafood restaurant offering the finest oysters, fish and crustacea. Seasonal game, meat and vegetarian dishes also feature. Our fish are responsibly caught from sustainable sources. Tables overlook the Thames, alongside our elegant oyster and Champagne bar with the full à la carte menu being served throughout the day from 12 noon.

Starters were good, wine options solid. However, I ordered the lamb cutlets (£48) for my main and received two small pieces and a croquet which felt absurdly stingy. Food quality is good and ambience is terrific but all things considered, it doesn’t feel like value for money.

It would be overall 5* but a charge of £6.95 + 13.5% service charge for a bottle of Water is unacceptable!

We were served water and spoke to the sommelier to order wines in a timely fashion however we sat for over 20 minutes with no interaction. One of our guests had to get up from the table and ask for service. One of the dishes was overcooked and had to be sent back. We poured our own champagne then had to ask for the other wines to be opened. We all had empty glasses at that point. The guest whose fish was overcooked finally got his meal as the rest of us were almost finished. We then sat for ages with empty plates and no one to clear. Needless to say we didn’t pay the service charge and were given a discount but what should have been a lovely family celebration was spoiled. Very disappointing as we have been to Scott’s in Mayfair and it was excellent!

We enjoyed a special Sunday lunch yesterday, for my wife's birthday. The whole experience at Scott's Richmond was superb, and helped ensure that it was a memorable event. Having now been to Scott's Mayfair and Richmond, I can happily recommend them both. When comparing the two restaurants, my opinion is that the Scott's Richmond team wins the race by the shortest of margins. Magic..!

Although I missed taking pictures, our regular seafood platter and spiced crab was absolutely amazing. Our host Daria was very attentive and knowledgeable. Without a doubt, this is the best seafood in Richmond. I'm confident in that statement. The flavors incredible, thanks to fresh ingredients. Highly recommend!

I thought it was a good menu, but the food exceeded expectations. Everything we had was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and sensitive to the fact that we weren’t quite ready to order immediately which with a larger group was appreciated. We had a wonderful evening with friends and Scott’s helped to make it the perfect environment for the occasion. We will definitely be back! Thank you
