Another gem by award winning Chef Craft. Food and service were a standout. Swordfish was perfectly cooked and chicken dish was juicy and flavorful. Not pretentious and just an enjoyable experience by a wonderful staff. Hope to get back soon.
All three dining experiences at Sardella have been mediocre because of the service. It’s incredibly slow. My sense is that the servers have too many tables. Budget at least an hour and fifteen minutes (perhaps longer for a weekend).
Good food, good service
Great food and service
Saredella is always amazing. The food is fantastic every single time and this was probably one of the best. Love coming here!
Thank you, Sardella, for helping me impress work colleagues visiting from out of town! It had been my responsibility to chose the restaurant for dinner and, my, did you help St. Louis make a good impression! The ambiance was cozy, the noise level was low, and the service was attentive and generous. We all agreed that our favorite dish of the evening was the roasted carrots, though the scallops and the pastas were excellent too. Very kindly, in this area of Coronavirus, you allowed us to split one serving of ice cream into three separate bowls, so as to provide just a taste of something sweet at the end of the meal. The only thing that could have improved the evening would have been to have someone answering the phone all evening — we were running 30 minutes late for our 8:00 reservation, but I wasn’t able to communicate our tardiness because no one answered the phone on any of the three times I called around 8pm.
Too noisy for conversation. Not enough vegetarian choices.
Excellent food, pleasant service, pleasant surroundings - what more could a diner want?
Our server did an amazing job and the food was pretty legit. We had the burrata bruschetta, roasted carrots, ricotta cavatelli, black trumpet scarpinoc, and the sump espresso affogato.
The food and ambiance is amazing. I expected a little more personality from our server though and I think he should have asked if it was our first time visiting, which it was. I feel that should always be the first thing a server asks.
The food was delicious, but the price was quite high. Not sure if the price matched what was served. The service was extremely slow. For a table of 2, our meal took 2 1/2 hours. We had 3 courses, but this seemed exceedingly slow.
Everything was wonderful! Especially the chestnut purée pasta — so delicious. The salads, drinks and deserts were perfect! We always enjoy this restaurant. My only slight complaint is that the noise level (at least on a Saturday night) is pretty high and made it hard to hear my companion’s conversation sometimes..
My 3rd time there. Everything was awesome, except the hostess was rude and barely acknowledge us. James the server was GREAT!
We ordered 3 shareable appetizers that were unique and delicious. We each had a pasta which was also wonderful and unusual. Excellent bar options.
Tables are placed extremely close to each other. The noise level is so high you cannot hear the person across from you at a table for two.
The experience was not enjoyable at all. Eggs were wet and runny. And $20 (I included the tip in this amount) is far too much for eggs, bacon, potatoes and a small cup of orange juice.
Limited menu choices and not impressed by the anti pasta selection. We went off the servers recommendation and was disappointed.
The brunch I had was wonderful! Try the raviolo! It was to die for!
We had a lovely dinner. My only comments are that the “shareable” portions of pasta (at $25) are quite small, and the roast chicken, while quite nice, was also on the small side (we had two Wash U students with us, and they eat a lot).
On the other side, the Red Velvet Cake and the Lemon Curd were wonderfully delicious.
Food was creative and excellent. Service was not up to the level of original Niche-- trailed off after main course was served and had a hard time getting the check.
Excellent! Gerard selected some great chefs. I like the smaller menu, easier to decide
Sardella was great! We’d taken our daughter and her friend from college for a brunch on Sunday. The French Toast, Cace a pepe, and Biscuits and gravy options were all wonderfully prepared and enjoyed by everyone. The service was quick and efficient. We’d definitely visit again.
Sardella was better than ever! Extraordinary service and food!!! I can’t wait to return! The staff made us feel so special and it was a lovely evening!!
Sardella offers a fantastic brunch menu and the atmosphere is perfect. A great choice!
Everything was incredible. Beat dinner on our whole trip!
Very nice place, we ate at the Bar, the gals working were sweet and friendly. I have been there before and was not disappointed.
All around great experience!
Delicious! Perfect for a date night or small business meetings!
Sardella was absolutely outstanding. Our service was perfection from our first step in the door. And the food was better than I could have imagined. This was our first time dining there but I know it will be a restaurant we return to often.
We LOVED it!
Outstanding dinner and appetizer. Dessert was okay; not wowed. Would come back. Pricey, but great food and service.
Sardella was its usual yummy self. Quiet enough to hear your companion across the table.
And Jessica, our server, our favorite server remembered me and said " welcome back!!"
So cute!! and great to recommend new things and knowledgeable about the drink menu as well as the food. We last went in the summer during that awful heat wave we had. That is a long time to remember people. She has by chance almost always been our server when we go. Hope she's our server again.
The food is always good at Sardella’s. I wish they were still open for lunch.
Great food quality. The bruschetta and sourdough pasta were exceptional. Service was not at the level of the food though.
As always wonderful. Our server was lovely and the food was yummy. We were the last customers of the evening after a late movie...but did not feel rushed in any way.
Everything about this restaurant is incredible; the food, the serving staff, the ambiance. Our experience couldn’t have been any better. The restaurant group as a whole is wonderful, however this restaurant is something special.
I'm a big fan of Gerard Craft and have enjoyed several of his restaurants for many years The special menu for Restaurant Week was a great value and the appetizers and entrees were very generous portions and quite delicious. We were a little disappointed in the desserts, though. Had the chance to try a few of them and they were fine - but nothing special. Flavors were a little too subtle and could have used more of a punch. They just weren't quite what I've come to expect from Niche Food Group restaurants. But I'll definitely be back to give them another chance.
Definitely a place for foodies. If you like to try innovative cuisine, Sardella is definitely worth it. They have a handful of options if you’re less adventurous. Chef is accommodating if you have dietary requirements. Service was excellent. Overall a good value.
Perfect date night spot! Everything was delicious. Family Styler serving.
Really enjoyed the flavorful scallops and mussels dishes
We really enjoyed the vegetarian options!
