Welcome to Sams Ocean View Bar and Restaurant located on the water on the East side of Kauai just at the edge of Kapaa town. One of the best views on Kauai, SOV restaurant and Bar is open for Sunday Brunch 9 am to 2 pm and 5 days for happy hour and dinner, and closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We do not however serve happy hour on the weekends or holidays. The SOV menu is inventive and globally inspired featuring some Italian, Spanish, Hawaiian, Latin American and North American Favorites. The décor is eclectic and warmly inviting with a beach theme, and the Bar is top class using only the freshest ingredients and best mixers. The Mai Tai is superb! Sam’s Ocean View is fun, friendly and cozy, and of course beautiful! Come for the view and stay for the food and service.

Never had a chance to eat there. They shut their doors for good at the end of February. I was looking forward to eating there as I heard it was good.

We loved everything about our experience except for the part where it will be our last since Sams is closing in a few days. 😭😢. We wish everyone there good luck with their next adventure!!❤️❤️❤️.

Shame that Sam’s is closing. The meals were excellent and the service outstanding. We have met new friends over the years. Sarah has done a fantastic job as our go to server over the past few years. We wish Sam and all of the staff all the best.

So sad this gem of a restaurant is closing. Quality and creativity of dishes and cocktails is high and consistent. Will miss the Ahi Tuna and panko crusted daily fish. Good luck to staff and owner - you will be missed!!!
