This restaurant is one of our favorite in Dallas. It is consistently excellent. The staff greets us by name, they have clearly been trained to deliver exceptional service - it is never overbearing, yet always efficient and friendly. The food is smartly paired with interesting choices. The wine list is more focused on high-quality / high-value wine. They aren't afraid to add varieties like Cab Franc and Petit Syrah's on the list. It doesn't read like a wine list that was curated to overcharge for big name brand wines. We enjoy everything about Salum and will support them as long as their doors are open!
We don’t dine at Salum often enough! Throughout the years, Abraham and his group have provided outstanding service, food, and atmosphere! Last night was no exception. We enjoyed an early seating when the restaurant opened, and couldn’t have been happier! Noise level was quiet, the attention wonderful, and the food choices recommended were out of this world!
Fabulous food! Everyone ordered different items, and we were each marveling how delicious the food was. We were grateful for all of the gluten-free options and even GF bread! Very thoughtful.
Great food and friendly staff. The best bread pudding I have ever had!
Absolutely amazing food and service. Do not pass this place up. Fantastic wine selection and warm service.
Salum’s is our neighborhood gem that creates a sense of occasion with each dining experience. Chef Salum welcomes you personally to the dining room when not supervising the kitchen.
The wait staff are gracious and tenured ensuring the service is consistently on point to compliment excellent Continental and Lebanese inspired cuisine. If you like mussels Chef Salum offers a creative twist.
Enjoy a sense of occasion at Salum’s even if you are just on a date with yourself. Enjoy!
First time dining at Salum and will definitely come back. Food and service was excellent! Great to see an owner on site directly managing the dining room and ensuring a quality customer experience. Love the open kitchen setting and atmosphere!
The food was excellent. The service was outstanding.
The only reason I would like to have is a lower level of noise was a bit more than I like.
Always love coming to Salum. The food and service were outstanding. However, it was packed and quite loud last night.
If I could give the food more stars I would. On the pricey side, but everything is amazing.
First time, fantastic experience! Welcoming staff, glorious interiors, great service and epic presentations of wonderful food. Nice ambiance. Finishing with the cream cake-unforgettable.
Abraham never disappoints. One of our very favorite restaurants.
It was for a birthday dinner. Always an exceptional experience. Abraham is always on site, and makes the experience exceptional. The price point has because more of a special occasion place versus a few times a month outing.
Food was great, but it was so loud you could not carry on a conversation
So loud we couldn’t hear across our table of 4! What really irritated us was when the 2 couples walked in and plopped down the bottles of wine they brought in and sat down. When we asked our waitress if we could bring our own wine she said that they were friends of manager. But the food, was just so-so. It turned out to just be a miserable experience all the way around! We used to love Salum!
Service was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent- high in quality and taste.
A hidden gem, well known by many locals, with a great menu and excellent service. I enjoyed the Lamb Chops and the Goat cheese with elephant garlic.
Once again, this is my favorite restaurant in Dallas! Had a wonderful birthday dinner for one of my dear friend! The pumpkin ravioli is to die for!
For my money, as good a restaurant experience as there is in Dallas.
Our family test time which is crazy since we’ve lived downtown for 4 years now. Right off the bat we noticed the noise level. It’s one large open dining room but it would help to add some noise reducing ceiling tiles. We had a reservation but they were packed so it took around 30 minutes to actually sit at table. Andrew our server was very personable. Started with the homemade pate which was delicious and lots of cornichon. Wine prices were reasonable. We enjoyed a Syrah with the redfish and braised pork. The portions were perfect and loaded with flavor, especially the Maque Chaux. No desert for us but we will definitely be back. Loved this little gem and it’s always appreciated when the owner chef stops by the table. We even noticed his staff would stop and hug him as they left for the night. The sign of a well loved boss.
Another awesome meal. The menu is wonderful this month along with a few standards. Wine selection is always to be desired with all price points and never a disappointment regardless the price selection. Being a top rated restaurant in Dallas is always worth the wait to experience.
One of our favorite restaurants , as food is always excellent. Both my husband and I had the beef tenderloin, which was cooked to perfection and a nice large portion. I started with the wedge salad, which had lots of blue cheese crumbles and some delicious small tomatoes too. My husband had creme brûlée for desert, which was excellent. It was very busy but the servers were attentive , including the chef/owner pitching in !
We were in to celebrate a birthday. The staff was warm and welcoming, very knowledgeable about the menu. The noise this evening was a little louder than on most of our previous visits. It was still a wonderful evening
Everything was excellent. It was a Saturday, the restaurant was full, and it was very loud, but we were happy to see so many people out and enjoying themselves! Our waitress, Denise, was new to Salum, but was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and unflustered. We’ll ask to be seated in her section again next time!
My very favorite restaurant in Dallas… never disappoints!
We've been several times and always enjoy the food. We went on a Saturday at 6 pm, just as they opened. The restaurant filled very quickly. The wait staff seemed a little overwhelmed. We received 2 rolls along with our appetizer but that was it. My dish, the Coq Au Vin, begged for some bread because of all the sauce. Also, we both would have like a little more salt on our dishes. We wish they were supplied on our table. Otherwise, we loved the food and the place. We'll go back but try to avoid a Friday or Saturday.
This is such a delicious restaurant. My boyfriend and I love having date night here. It’s always so outstanding!
Still one of our favorite restaurants in the city. I think last night was a bit of anomaly, because it was so crowded. Every single table was taken. I guess that’s good news for Abraham.
We were thrilled to be at Salum on a very busy Saturday night .
We were seated by the kitchen which was fun but very noisy..
But the food and the service were perfect .
We started with mussels for the table .
They are the best mussels I have ever had .
Then the salads and the entrees were incredible.
I had the redfish and my husband had the scallops .
They were delicious.
We ended with the bread pudding .
Wonderful evening .
Creative menu with excellent ingredients. Great appetizers and good wine selections
always delight to find special care in cooking
Friends were in from Arizona to attend a wedding ceremony. Desired a low key quiet place to chat and catch up over great food and vino. Server was difficult to hear through his mask and found he wasn’t suggestive with food options or wine. We made decent decisions on our own but find that an expert guides me best. While I appreciate not having the plates whisked away as that one last tasty bite finds it’s way to your mouth, I also appreciate a table not filled with mussel shells lingering….only retrieved with a gentle reminder to take them away. It’s a balance, right? While professional, our wait staff seemed ‘new to role’. I did appreciate another waiter who asked patron at the next table to return to her seat, as she was invading the space of our table while attempting to speak to another in her party at the opposite end of the table. He avoided a polite exchange of elbows from occurring. …
The food didn’t disappoint, atmosphere still brings a neighborhood vibe, but could use a bit of a refresh. Wonderful fall flowers on the tables were a nice festive touch. Overall~ a positive evening out.
Ate at the bar. Jeff was excellent bartender..,willing to talk and help us despite being very busy. Great evening.
Food is not as good as it used to be. Not much taste. I do not recommend the fish and chips. Fish has too much batter and hardly any fish, greasy as well. Chips were better.
Perfect dining experience. Can’t wait to go back.
Always one of my favorite places to dine in Dallas. The food is consistently excellent as is the service.
Great food, beautiful restaurant, Abraham Salum greeted us and was gracious, attentive waiter.
Wonderful owner/chef with menu changing monthly. Great for a special occasion or simply a night out
Impeccable experience! Such a gem. The lamb fantastic!
this was a great place. haven't been in awhile. I want to go back. the redfish was outstanding and the salad and bread and cappuccino. be sure to go!!!
