Excellent food, service and ambience. One of our favorite restaurants in Dallas.
Salum is our favorite restaurant. Besides excellent food and service, everyone makes us feel welcome and appreciated. We always take visitors and guests to Salum, knowing they will enjoy the experience as much as we do.
Service, food - excellent. Quietness brings me back. Good wines, but higher pricing than expected.
April 2019 visit
I had the Chicken Breast Al Pastor with Black Bean Puree and Plantain Pineapple Relish, which was extremely flavorful and decadent. The Al Pastor sauce was deep and played well with Plantain Pineapple Relish. My dining partner had the Pan Seared Scallops with Summer Succotash and Pumpkin Seed Picada. The plate was huge and he had no complaints about the dish. He said that the Succotash and pumpkin seed picada almost outshined the Scallops.
Thank you to everybody at Salum for a wonderful evening as usual.
Can't wait for my next meal Salum
Delicious food in a neighborhood venue. Don't let the strip center fool you. Service was excellent. Chef Abraham comes out of the kitchen to check on his guests which is a really nice touch.
Exceptional service from the moment we arrived. The restaurant had a classy retro feel to it without feeling dated. The food was fantastic and Salum ‘s menu is so appetizing and well thought out. We felt like we stumbled into a hidden gem of a restaurant and can’t wait to go back!
The best dining I've had in Dallas, healthy but richly delicious. Service was terrific.
Absolutely delicious dinner! Lovely evening overall.
We always enjoy our visits to Salum and yesterday was no exception. Neil was our server and he and Abraham were able to accommodate my husband's need for a meal with minimal salt. We had a special friend with us and all of us had a great time! Yummy food and great service make for a happy lunch hour!
Great food. The noise level is my only complaint. It's difficult to hold a conversation.
Great spot for an evening out as a couple or with friends. Love that the noise level is low and you can always enjoy a nice conversation at you table. Great place!!
This restaurant is consistently and reliably refined, civilized, and first-rate in all respects. The food is excellent, and the ambience and service are second to none. Highly recommended.
So many better options at the price point. Food is/was okay across the board but, ok food is a dime a dozen and at the price point it’s another disappointment at Salum. Great atmosphere, staff and ambiance. A perfect setting for a date or small party but food just never lives up to expectation.
Another delicious dinner at Salum! One of our favorite places to bring friends.
This is a gem of a restaurant. Everything on the menu looked fantastic and we had a hard time deciding. We got the fish, lamb and tenderloin and were very impressed with it all. The ambiance was just okay... a bit of an older crowd. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was delicious, service was outstanding. As always.
Great neighborhood restaurant! Menu was interesting and the food taste and quality were great. We ate a late lunch (1:00 reservation), so the restaurant was fairly quiet. Probably busier at earlier times and at dinner. Service was friendly and the ambiance was warm and inviting. I enjoyed this experience and I will definitely try this one again!
Fantastic food, excellent service, wonderful chef!
This is a great place for a business lunch. The staff is courteous and professional. There is something for everyone on the menu. And it is delicious!
As usual Chef Abraham came through with big flavor!
I had the Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Honey Bacon Brussel Sprouts and left the plate clean. My dining partner had Pan Seared Scallops with Gristmill Grits and Mustard Seed Chow Chow, and he really enjoyed every bite.
Every time I eat at Salum, I am amazed by Chef Abraham's flavor combinations. He is a real master!
What a pleasant surprise this neighborhood gem has great food and service can’t wait to go back
Great food. Cordial and efficient service. House wine nicely complemented both courses.
Superb dining experience. The lamb is their signature dish and was the best! Highly recommend.
Restaurant was very cold. I kept my coat on during the meal but I never became comfortable with the temperature in the restaurant.
Fantastic service and very good food
You just have to go there; its FANTASTICAL! Ran and Jan.
Excellent food prepared and arranged with care and pleasing to both the eye and the palate. Highly recommend this restaurant for an intimate meal or a large group.
Excellent in all categories (ambiance, service, and food quality). The intimate size of the dining room adds to the enjoyment of a meal at Salum. Would highly recommend.
Be sure to try the lamb chops with mushroom bread pudding. Perfect! Unassuming from outside - you might even miss that this cozy little restaurant exists unless you're looking for it. But once you're inside you'll be happy you found it. Great selection of scotch and nice assortment of custom drink specials. It's been a favorite of many of our friends for years, but we finally got around to trying it ourselves, and very happy we did.
Wonderful food, service and attention to details. Our server was funny and personable. We will be back!
Nice spot. Took my fiancé there for dinner and we enjoyed our experience
Salum’s is a sophisticated neighborhood gym for consistently delightful dining experience. From Jeans to Tuxedo you will always feel welcome and at home. From steaks to seafood and pasta you will always find an entree that appeals to everyone at the table.
Always a consistently wonderful experience! Enjoy!
Great service. Fantastic food. Drum was perfect and beef tenderloin was great.
Salum is very consistent in the quality of food and the outstanding service they provide. We highly recommend Salum.
A birthday celebration brought us to Salum. I love this place. Relatively small dining room. Relatively small menu (seasonal) make this place the gem that it is. Located in a small strip mall on the SE corner of Cole and Fitzhugh, surrounded by other restaurants. Menu had a couple of chicken items, lobster, two beef, one rack of lamb (delicious), one fish, one shellfish and one pasta, if my memory is correct. Service is stop on. Attentive, yet, not rushing us. Wine list has many good choices, several by the glass. Did I mention I love this place?
Always spot on , impeccable service, and delicious food!
I don’t know about making it at least 50 characters.....
My friend and I selected Salum, to celebrate her birthday, because we knew what to expect ...... no need to always try new places for our dining.
The wonderful expectations began when we arrived for our reservation......food, wine, service, atmosphere all an “A”. Thank you all so much.
Excellent birthday dinner with impeccable service!
As visitors to Dallas every 3 to 6 months from out-of-state, we try to visit (or revisit) highly rated restaurants for dinner each time. We probably dined at Salum 8 - 10 years ago and were very impressed; but it took meeting some other non-Dallasite friends for the weekend plus seeing it appear on Open Table's "Top 100 in the USA in 2018" list to persuade us to return. We should have done so much sooner. The service was outstanding.; our waiter was helpful in making both food and wine recommendations. Everything was delicious: the tomato-basil bisque, the house salad, the redfish, scallops and lobster all got rave reviews from our guests and ourselves. The crowning glories were the bread pudding -- "best ever" (per my wife) -- and the brownie as dessert choices. The decor is classy without being stuffy, and the noise level only moderate. We'll definitely not wait many years to return.
My visit was the last night that the January menu was to be served. We both had the Scallops, one plate was blackened (like on the menu) and the other did not have blackening powder on them (by special request). The scallops were cooked properly, and both plates were extremely flavorful. The dessert was shared, it was a spiced cake with pineapple, walnuts, with a cream cheese frosting and a bourbon apple sauce. DELICIOUS!!
Overall the meal was a joy to eat!
Like usual, I look forward to what Chef Abraham and Salum have to offer for the month of February!
