Outstanding waitperson. Very slow order to food delivery.
Wonderful food, service and experience!
Had the rack of lamb and the grouper special. Both were excellent. Finished our meal with profiteroles. A very nice evening!
Some of the best french food in the Raleigh area
Excellent presentation friendly and knowledgeable service
Thoughtful wine list
Overall an outstanding experience
Awesome lunch! Love the scallops and the crepe.
We were celebrating a special anniversary. I think the servers and maitre de had as much fun with the special events and gift my husband had planned as I did. Great evening.
We had an excellent time. The chef and waitstaff made us feel welcomed and were very gracious and forthcoming with information from the menu. Truly one of the best in Raleigh.
Terrific service... quality food..enjoyable but expensive lunch.
Do not judge a book by its cover! It's located in a strip mall, but as soon as you step inside you'd never know. Great ambience, great food, great service!
Outstanding meal and exceptional service
Our favorite place to dine in Raleigh when we want something “special”. Excellent food and attentive service in a friendly, welcoming environment. Everyone that works here has a passion for food and it shows.
Amazing and polite service. Great drinks. Very well prepared and tasty appetizer and entree dishes (I had the best beef bourguignon). Desert was a let-down.
Food was amazing. I could have eaten everything on the menu! A little on the expensive side but overall an outstanding meal. Great service. Will definitely be back. A special place for a special occasion.
Kivi was perfect server. Food was awesome. The baguette was the real deal.
A delicious experience. Wonderful that the chef greeted each table with an amuse bouche as the beginning to an excellent meal.
As usual a wonderful, enjoyable evening. I look forward to my next visit.
We attended the Julia Child’s wine dinner. The food was amazing. We have enjoyed this event more in previous years as the owner made a real effort to interject facts about Julia and her life. This made it wonderful. That was lacking this year. Kind of missed out on the feeling of what the dinner was supposed to be about. Felt like it was more about selling wine.
It was a great experience. Unique delicious dishes. New interesting wine.
Food was spectacular! Personal visit by Chef was a nice touch. Waiter Johnathan was excellent.
The fois gras crème brûlée blew me away! So creative and tasty. And that was just the amuse-bouche starter. All wait staff were knowledgeable, precise and friendly. We enjoyed the rack of lamb and the duck entrees, after delicious classic escargots. Nice cocktail selection. We appreciated that some bottles of wines are available in half bottle size, as I am not a big drinker but like to pair a good wine with good food over a couple courses. Did not know the restaurant had changed hands. New owners doing a wonderful job. Cannot wait to return.
We arrived early but the server seated us immediately at the nicely set table.
The service people are very polite and professional .. as many high classed European restaurants provide.
Services, foods, the environment/mood, plus are excellent and we appreciated the whole deal, especially for our special occasion. We loved it immensely, and thank you.
Too expensive for pedestrian French food. Vin Rouge does it better at a lower cost.
As always, Chef Serge serves up some amazing French cuisine!! Celebrated our anniversary this visit and was treated royally!!
It is a very special place!
We visited here for our anniversary, and we couldn't have been happier. The food was outstanding, and it was wonderful that they had a full vegetarian menu. Service was great, and they even wrote "happy anniversary" in French on our dessert plate and put the years we've been together. Everything was impeccable. We would definitely go there again.
Thanks a lot, Saint Jacques! You have totally ruined any other restaurant for me! I'll never go anywhere else and enjoy food at the level I did at Saint Jacques. The food was the best I've had, the chef brought out a savory creme brulee and stayed to talk to us before our meal began, the waitresses were terrific and the interior was very French. It was a lovely, lovely experience. It was easy to taste that the ingredients were all natural, nothing cheap or artificial, the flavors were so rich. I loved the lavender bread, the filet, the potatoes, the French Onion Soup - all so flavorful.
Being French, I always expect the cuisine of a French restaurant to be… French! I had been disappointed in the past by other local French-themed restaurants whose cuisine was fine but lacked in sophistication or authenticity. Therefore, when a gourmet friend of mine told me that Saint Jacques was the best French restaurant around, I headed there with some circumspection. I was wrong. Saint-Jacques is indeed the best and truest French restaurant around. Chef Serge Falcoz-Vigne’s cuisine is as elaborate and authentic as French standards demand. We picked the Fromage de chêvre chaud gratiné et canard fûmé, the Coquille Saint Jacques, the Carré d'agneau rôti en croûte, and the Filet mignon de boeuf, à la Rossini, and each of those was a marvel in its own way. The sauces were out of this world. The service was impeccable, yet warm, and the chef took the time to visit each and every table, which was a very nice touch. Merci, Chef, for a wonderful evening of gastrono-mie!

Great meal, service and ambiance. The chef visited our table and was very personable. He even made a special effort to speak to us as we were leaving. Food was spectacular! We will be back.
Very good food, with a nice ambiance (nicely spaced for business conversation over dinner). Good wine selection. Excellent service.
Came here for birthday dinner, was our first visit. The food and the service were exceptional. The chef came out to say hello as he delivered the first amuse bouche, which was nice.
St Jacques is amazing, from the delicious French food to the impeccable service! Great for special occasions and date nights, definitely a memorable and special dinner!
We recommend the Saint Jacques for the overall experience and the quality of the cuisine and excellent service they provided us.
First time here. Food very good. Surprisingly small but cozy. Great place for a date.
Birthday Dinner for my 70th.
I would say that this was the best restaurant experience that we have ever had in the Raleigh area.
Everything was absolutely perfect! It was one of the few restaurants where you could have a quiet dinner and be able to have a conversation without having to shout!
Chef came out at least two times to check on us and to make recommendations.
Both my wife and I agreed that our evening with St Jacques was a 5+ star experience.
Great food and excellent service
A great place to go for a special evening
Wife Susan’s birthday
Our birthday celebration was a wonderful experience at St.Jacques as always. The staff and chef were very attentive and delivered a delightful dining experience.
Impeccable, simply impeccable.
On a recent Thursday night three of us absolutely enjoyed our French dining experience at Saint Jacques in Raleigh, NC. It was excellent from beginning to end! They kindly accommodated a change off time for us when I called after booking. A Very pleasant lady showed us to our table. The restaurant was lovely and quiet. The three of us were greeted by our delightful young server, Zevi, who told us us their evening specials and then brought us a very small dish and spoon to whet our appetites. The guys really liked their French Onion soups. Zevi brought us cold small scoops to cleanse our pallets. For Entrees we chose the scallops, and the lamb chops and the special of red snapper. The Exquisite Chef visited our table where we gave him our best compliments. Zevi then gave us a mighty dessert menu. One was a plate of ice cream which she then drizzled with chocolate sauce and covered with candied almonds, another was handmade pistachio ice cream topped with blueberries, a raspberry and a fresh mint leaf. With many compliments to Zevi, chef and staff, we departed completely satiated. Don’t miss this Open Table dining experience n Raleigh, NC!
This is one of the few quiet restaurants in Raleigh, where you can go and actually talk without having to shout to be heard. That's worth a lot. From a food perspective, I think it's good but not great. I had red snapper which was served with a "spiced beurre blanc". When asked if we could have the sauce on the side, the server said it came on the fish. It didn't and could easily have been on the side, although the presentation wouldn't have been as pretty. Unfortunately, I did not care for the sauce at all. I don't know what the "spiced" component was, but did not think it added anything (and took away from) the rest of the dish. The server brought us a different sauce (I don't remember what she called it) but it was a darker sauce and had a curry taste ... maybe some cumin in it. Didn't like that either. A simple squeeze of lemon was all that was needed . The rest of the meal was quite good.
