Yesterday's food and service was not up to par. The wine was not served until lunch was served. I will not order the beef bourguignon again--there was fat, which should have been trimmed off. My friend commented that hers was not warm.
A sweet place to meet if you want to have a conversation and delicious food. Our waitress was very kind and gave us a good balance of attention and time.
The food and service was amazing. I have some allergy issues, but the chef was happy to work around them, and still produce the most tasteful meal. The chef also made a point of interacting with all his guests, which is always is a big plus.
As always, St. Jacques is a pleasure to dine in! The food, service, ambience is excellent! They always do a little something special for your special occasion if you let them know in advance.
The food was generally excellent except for the rack of lamb. It seemed to have a lot of grissel in comparison to the better meat.
We had a wonderful experience recently, the service was the best we have ever received. A truly French menu, and beautifully presented. We will definitely return to St. Jacques.
Service, food, greeting by chef all led to a fabulous dinner.
Knew before hand what the prices would be. Had lunch with a date: split an appetizer of mussels and an entree of Scottish salmon. Finished with a creme broulee. It was the $65 for a bottle of Sancerre that ran up the tab. We were there for a long pleasant conversation and I figured the bottle would be less expensive than multiple glasses. The food was excellent in preparation and presentation. Service was prompt and very good. The experience was perfect for our tête-à-tête.
This is my favorite restaurant! Fabulous food, classy, and wonderfuñ service. A delightful experience.
Not my first visit and definitely not the last. By far the best service and best food I have enjoyed in my 50some years on the earth. I have travelled all over the US and abroad. This experience is a must. Hurry! But make a reservation.
St Jacques is always a fantastic experience. Service is attentive and the food is delicious.
This was an excellent dining experience. The food was delicious. We loved the appetizer foil gras and coquille St Jacque and the lamb was superb. We each had a cocktail and they were well made. Our server, Grant was very solicitous and helpful to us. We will definitely definitely dine here again.
My wife and I dined at Saint Jacques to celebrate our 18th Anniversary. The food and service were exquisite as anticipated. But our waiter Kenneth made the evening even more enjoyable with both his professionalism and witty interactions with us.
I don’t typically write reviews but Kenneth deserves a pat on the back for making a special evening for my wife and I one we will remember for years to come. Thank you Saint Jacques and thank you Kenneth.
True French food is a joy to eat and St. Jaques knows how to do it well. Their servers and knowledgeable and really add to the dining experience.
Very nice experience and very accommodating wait staff and manager. Everyone seemed to want to make our meal a pleasant one. The duck breast entree was quite good; my wife enjoyed the short rib boeuf bourguignonne.
Always an exceptional experience
Do not let the location throw you off, this is no standard “strip mall” restaurant. This was an entire dining experience. I promised my boyfriend we would have the perfect date after I recovered from surgery and this was it! Each dish was so thoughtfully prepared; each flavor melding beautifully together and enticing the senses.
If you’re unsure what to try, trust your server. They’re well educated on the cuisine. The chef was a delight to talk to and you could feel his passion for what he created.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we were late for our speak easy event and didn’t even care! 100% going to return!
Very nice food. My wife had wanted to go here from almost the day we moved to Raleigh. The food didn’t disappoint. I had Sweetbreads and the Filet Mignon both were excellent. My wife had the duck appetizer and Vol a vont both very good the breads were excellent and the gateau with butternut squash and chocolate was the surprise hit. Only two drawbacks, some patrons were not dressed for the occasion- business casual was the recommended attire with one fellow even in shorts. Additionally the wine list is overpriced however my wife and I decided on cocktails instead and they were very good! Not a place for weekly dining but definitely a go to spot for special occasions. Check it out! We
I love this place. Everyone is professional and the food is great.
We were celebrating our anniversary and they made us feel so special! The food and service were outstanding!! Definitely a must to eat there!!
The food was absolutely delicious!!
All of staff genuinely demonstrated their desire that we enjoy our visit ..and we did have a wonderful time.
Great meal and personable feeling. Chef Falcoz-vigne was warm, fun and did not disappoint with his culinary expertise! Definitely a welcome change!
My boyfriend and I had a lovely time at Saint Jacques! Our waiter was so respectful and funny and the experience could not have been better. The food was amazing and it was so exciting to try so many new dishes. I would highly recommend saint Jacques for a special night out!
This is the first time I have viewed St. Jacques as anything but 5 stars. This was a go to spot for a special treat. Outside France, the onion soup set the bar for all other establishments. I am disappointed to say that the current recipe is not as much to my liking. The quiche was delicious. So I will still go, but without the same anticipation.
The entire experience was fabulous!
St Jaques reminded me of the fine dining I was used to working as a waitress in upscale restaurants in the NJ/NY area. The service was impeccable, with just enough attention from the management, wait staff, and even the chef. Then there was the food! Saying it was delicious is an understatement. The portions were just right, and the flavor burst from each bite. I was especially impressed with the local items they had on the menu from vegetables and fish to the cheese. Their house chardonnay was crisp and clean-just the way I like it. I cant wait to go back!
Food was delicious. The chef, is from France and came out to speak with us as I commented to the waitress that I did not eat anything made from baby/small animals. He was great into taking this into consideration and his suggestions were amazing. Will definitely be going back.
Excellent fine dining with a french style ambience and cuisine. We were looking for a such a local restaurant to rekindle wonderful memories of our visit to Paris, FR several years ago and found the Saint Jacques to be right on the money with a low noise, white tablecloth, friendly environment. The delicious, french based, multicourse dinner was excellent and paired with an equally charming french chef, Serge Falconz-Vigne, who was the icing on the cake so to speak. We will be back and plan to bring more friends with us.
Really great experience! Above and beyond expectations! Love this place!
Great for an anniversary or date night. A bit pricey, but service was fantastic. Food was great as well.
Food was fabulous! Thought I’d was a bit too bright. Should dim lights a bit lower for a more romantic ambiance. Could not tell there were candles in the table due to the bright lights on. Our waiter was a nice , young man but very slow and he seemed to have trouble figuring out when to take away our plates and could not bring two coffee cups out at the same tine. But again the food was best French cuisine I have ever had.
Excellent food and atmosphere result in the best dining experience in the Triangle!
Excellent food. Excellent service. Very nice evening.
Lovely and very enjoyable
Always delicious! Friendly service!
The mussels were the best I've ever had---so tasty!
Excellent food and service.
We had one question about our wine and the chef came out to discuss and took excellent care of us.
Exceptional food and experience. The staff is very professional. Great experience. Thank you
This was our second time going to Saint Jacques. The first was for our anniversary and this time was for my birthday. It is definitely a great spot for special occasions. For a full 3 course meal with drinks it was around $200. Very good spot and is our go-to place for French cuisine.
Incredible restaurant!!! Food and service is perfection.
If you haven’t been you must go.
The salmon ravioli is the best you will ever have. Flounder was crisp, tender and who knew chestnut grits could be so wonderful. Can’t wait to go back.
