   Amazing food from the first to the last bite. Pasta was cooking al dente, steak was perfectly seared and medium rare. Flat bread had the most amazing sweet and salty taste with fresh vegetables. Topped it off with a cheese cake and Sage soaked Gin. Avi and Max took care of us and made us feel like we belonged. Thank you for a memorable date.

   Took a friend to my fav restaurant in STL for their first time, and they LOVED it! The new menu is to die for. Baked ricotta, filet and sea bass specials, and of course a piece of gooey butter cake and carrot cake. If they have the smoked old fashioned available when you go, it's a must try. The waiters/waitresses are always so kind and welcoming, you really can't beat this place!

   The fries did not taste good. The martini was delicious. The meatloaf was covered in tomato and wasn’t great. The cake at the end was meh. Kind of tasted like a fridge.

   We had a reservation for brunch and we’re seated right away. Great table service. The food was delicious…biscuits, crab cake and hash. We got dessert to go, the chocolate port wine cake was rich and heavenly. Will definitely return!

    Waiter definitely put a damper on what otherwise was a nice dining experience. He seemed perturbed with us from the outset, possibly because only one person in our party of 3 was drinking. Food was very good. We saw how the waiter treated other tables which was night and day compared to us.

    Food was amazing as always! Service is always on point and this evening was no different. A little loud upstairs but that was one person who maybe had one too many. Not obnoxious just knew they were there. 10 out of 10 even with the elevated noise

    For a $95 per plate dinner I was expecting more from the food and service. Overall it wasn't a bad experience and I'd probably try out the place with normal dinner pricing, but the value wasn't there for this particular experience.

    Bacon was like beef jerky, maybe worse- sometimes dry shards broke in my mouth. Biscuits had difficulty cutting with a knife, French toast was dry. Service was great. Table rearrangement upstairs seems smooshed & louder

    Food was very good. Service started ok but dropped off across the course of meal. Soup was delivered without a spoon and I had to get up to find a server to bring a spoon because no one was around. The server seemed very attentive to the six-top next to us and it seemed quite obvious that he was investing effort there and not with my party. It was enough to make the meal less enjoyable than it should have been.

    The food is amazing!!! The service is very slow but most staff are friendly. I asked someone who brought our food out if I could put in a drink order because our server never returned and she said I would have to ask the server but she didn’t even tell the server I had asked to put in a drink and the server kept walking past us and never stopped at our table. My tip to you would be to order everything you might want as soon when you have their attention the first time because you maybe won’t get a second chance. We waited a long time for our server to take our order originally which is probably why I forgot to order a drink but the food was worth the wait. If you are patient and love good food this is your place.

    Waitress was very friendly, as was the hostess. The space is nice and the ambiance good. I feel there should be more options for smaller parties (2) upstairs, rather than seating multiple parties at the same table. The food and drink were not good. I ordered a cocktail, Gin Soaked Sage, I believe. The drink came in a standard water/soda glass full of ice, which is strange, but the drink was just not good. It tasted more like a pre-mixed cocktail with sweet and sour mix rather than a craft cocktail with fresh ingredients. The presentation in a standard drinking glass full of ice is just 100% wrong. I would advise some training on cocktails and appropriate glassware. The meatloaf was huge, possibly 4-5" thick (in height), which I found strange, it was also extremely dense with an undesirable texture. I expected tender, juicy meat, but it was dense and not pleasant to eat. We would not return to Russell's for dinner or cocktails.

    Always consistently delicious! Shared the enormous cinnamon roll between 3 of us and had extra to take home. The special that day was a vegetable hash with and egg and it was outstanding. You can never go wrong dining here. Service was excellent!

    We went to brunch for a family birthday celebration, there were 9 of us. Ramona did a great job taking care of us. Many thanks to Faron, Ramona, Maggie, Bill, Max and the rest of the crew for the great time. We love Russell’s!

    Took my mom to brunch to celebrate. I booked a reservation for three. The waiter came over and asked if he could get us anything while we were waiting, which I assumed maybe he wasn’t our waiter and was asking us that because we were waiting on somebody else? Placed an order for drinks and biscuits. 40 minutes into being sat, the gentleman returned to ask if the other person was going to be joining us. We were confused and told him no there were only three of us, so he then took our order. By this time we had already watched all of the tables around us turn over once. Our food finally arrived. Nearly an hour later, we were served our breakfast including burned, completely charred bacon. We requested that be taken back. Tables were now turned over for a second time around us. A couple had sat down behind us ordered and were almost finished with their meal when we finally got our check. My mother was so upset about how the experience played out, that she asked if there was anything he was going to do or even take off for over two hours of waiting. He made eye contact with her and walked away without a single word. I have never been more mortified, I paid the bill, all $149 of it. And we left. Definitely not the normal experience when I visit your restaurant and very disappointed.

    The double pork chop on the menu was super dry. The volume in the downstairs area was super loud. I couldn’t hear the person from across the table. The food isn’t worth the money.

    Food was great! Server was on top of beverages and making sure coffee stayed warm. Tables felt like they were packed in. I’m certain the couple next to us could hear every word since we heard their entire conversation

    Fun vibe at this place. Food was delicious with generous portions. My husband ordered the Italian salad and I the spinach salad to start which we enjoyed very much. They were large enough to share so consider that when ordering. The pasta specials offered that evening were delicious and the server surprised us with a piece of their carrot cake to share. Needless to say we left the restaurant “stuffed”. We will be back for another enjoyable meal.
