Nice experience. Great service by Justice. French 75s, oysters Rockefeller, great prime rib poboy were all great.
The food was excellent and the menu selection was very impressive. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Great experience.
Emma our waitress did an excellent job. The food and the atmosphere is awesome. It was the perfect way to end a hectic week.
We had the veggie omelet and it was the worst omelet I’ve ever had. Sounds extreme, but it was. We also had the boudin crab cakes which were a little too spicy, but not terrible. Not a fan of the Tabasco hollandaise. The service was VERY SLOW! We were the first people in there and took an hour to get our food. I’ve been here twice before and had great experiences. Was disappointed and will probably choose a different brunch spot.
We had a fabulous time for my husbands birthday. Everything we had was delicious. Our waiter was Jackie and she was amazing!!! Very attentive and had a great personality! Will definitely be back.
I know they were busy for restaurant week, but it was slow to seat us for reservations. 20 minutes late to get a table. Some food sold out. Slow food but the wait staff was excellent. Our waitress was above and beyond.
Family weekend with our daughter and a friend. Great experience! We were late, yet they held our table and sat us promptly. The meal was excellent as was the service. My daughter recommends the fillet, medium, and the bolivar bouliabase, was amazing ! This is our “go to” when we go to LSU!
Food was delicious and our server, Emily I think was awesome. Will definitely be going back to try something else from the menu.
So glad we had a reservation as there was a line of people waiting for an open table. Highly recommend the Seafood Lasagne--unusual and delicious. The grilled fish with beurre blanc sauce was wonderful also. The noise level was the only thing keeping this review from 5 stars.
Food was good- service was ok, but we had to box up our entrees and take them home after waiting for an hour for the food to come out.
We went for Sunday brunch. It was our first visit to the restaurant.
We made a reservation and were seated promptly.
We tried ordering some chargrilled oysters but the waiter said they “didn’t have an oyster guy this morning”.
We ordered and then waited over an hour before our food arrived. Once we got it, some items were hot but the hash browns were cold. The family at the table next to us waited an hour and a half for their food and we heard her call the waiter and tell him that all their food was cold.
When we expressed dissatisfaction to our waiter, he became irritated.
The food, other than being cold, was good. Service was not.
On a positive note, the brunch mimosas were good and only $5.
With all the good restaurants in Baton Rouge, we won’t be returning to this one.
Seth was awesome. Spoke with the table and was very pleasant.
Visitors to Baton Rouge - had good experience two years ago so we came back. Did not disappoint. Creative menu and enticing specials. Dishes well-prepared and attractively presented. Good wine list. Friendly, attentive, and polished service. We'll dine here again on our next visit.
This was our first time at Rouj Creole. We went for brunch. We shared the duck beignets, baked brie, and crab cakes. Every dish was delicious. The mimosas were perfectly made and only $5. Our server was Chloie. She did an amazing job. We will definitely be back.
Excellent, will be back.
Always a great meal. And our server Justice was fantastic.
Food and service were great, not too expensive and I would definitely go back
Great happy hour. Totally worth it, tons of great food.
The restaurant was out of a number of items which I can understand. What frustrated me was that they didn't always let you know that up front. The food was ok and the portions were generous.
This is a great restaurant for drinks, food, brunch. Service is always great, drinks are delicious, good variety and food is delicious
Hostess was not the friendliest, waitress did a great job. The Rouj Bouillabaisse was very good and the salmon was good as well. The chili lime and chargrilled oysters were not bad, but better in most reputable New Orleans restaurants. All around not a bad experience.
Thank you for being open after the hurricane. What a welcome relief from the heat and stress. Good fantastic as usual. Chef David really hit it out of the park with the menu updates. If there is still no power we will probably be back again tonight
We love coming here, especially with a new menu and new chefs keeps us going back. Always consistent and delicious food, never disappoints.
Their sides are great. Especially the sweet potatos and cauliflower au gratin
All servicings below average
Would give it another chance
Great food, service and drinks. Always enjoy my time here
Great experience! Absolutely loved the ambiance! The crawfish boudin balls were delicious! The bone in ribeye was great along with the cauliflower au gratin.
Fabulous menu upgrade and presentation! Staff seems back and working really hard. Looking forward to trying the new dinner menu!
Menu was printed entirely too small!
Fantastic lunch with an old friend. Fish was cooked to perfection and plated very well in an artistic way. Really enjoy the new menu and the consistency in the kitchen!
I am never disappointed at Rouj. From the staff, to the atmosphere and of course the food! There is nothing to complain about!
Love your charbroiled oysters! Some of the best ever!!!
Overall the service (from our server) was great she did the best she could considering the kitchen was beyond slow. We were a party of 3, yes there were multiple bigger parties but waiting an hour and a half after you’ve ordered your food for a party of 3 is insane. I’m really not sure I’ll ever go back. But I would like to credit our server for doing the best despite the circumstances, and she’s the only reason I didn’t complain.
Good food and service
The best thing about this place was the service. The servers all were great. The food was not to my liking. My fish was over cooked. The restaurant was packed very loud. Another concern was related to servers not wearing mask. To me that seems unsafe.
Very good food. The bar was even better actually.
THE WINE LIST WAS AMAZING AND VERY AFFORDABLE AND THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING.
Amazing service! Love this place so much.
Our server was wonderful though the food prep seemed to be a bit slow based on the number of other diners in the restaurant. We will return - all of the food was fresh and delicious
