At Rosie Cannonball, we’re serving European comfort food in a lively atmosphere. The restaurant celebrates the origins of cooking through open, live fire and is centered around a wood-burning oven and grill.

The menu draws inspiration from individual ingredients: local vegetables, pastas and pizzas, simple seafood and locally-sourced meat cooked over live fire.

Master Sommelier June Rodil curated an expansive list of delicious wines with a strong Italian, Spanish and French focus from their favorite producers new and old, along with options from progressive New World producers.

The cocktail menu has strong Italian influences, mirroring the focus of the food.

The food is amazing. The chicken and the ragu pasta are a must try. Overall great experience. Only negative is that food takes some time to get to the table. Other than that awesome place.

Always an excellent experience and food at Rosie's Cannonball. Our table was ready when we arrived. Our server greeted us promptly. Food was delicious and creative. And the service was very professional. An exceptional birthday dinner!

Great food and service. Definitely get the Casio E Pepe pizza. It was my favorite. We also really enjoyed the pepperoni pizza and the pork chop. Fun birthday dinner!

I regret not sending the pizza back with burnt edges (literally entire crust was black). Many tables had this and thought it was normal. After looking at other pictures posted realized it wasn’t right. The best part of the pizza wasn’t edible.

We went for the reverse happy hour, which was a very good deal. Delicious pizza. Nice drinks. Service was good, the interior of the restaurant is beautiful, and the only gripe we had was with the music. The volume and style of whatever they were playing did not match the vide of a place this classy and elegant. Get someone to curate a nice playlist!

Of all places to go for your birthday in Houston, I picked here and what a disappointment. You could tell we were more of a bother to my server from the beginning when I said I wasn’t drinking. Ordered an app, ordered 3 entrees, I ended up ordering a wine for my lamb ravioli. Never received my glass of wine, we ran out of water, no one checked on us. My mom even mentioned to the server that it was my birthday. I literally had to go inside and ask the hostess for to go boxes. The lamb was subpar, dry at best, overly sauced. My mom’s pepperoni pizza well let’s just say they would have done better giving us tostinos. Olive Garden at this point would have been better. I don’t typically do reviews because I am in the industry and I know how things can get but to say that they truly dropped the ball here is an understatement. It was a 6:15 patio reso, the restaurant was not full, it was just lack of service and hospitality.

Went here for my birthday, and totally forgot to make reservations ahead of time considering it was the memorials weekend but the host and hostess were super accommodating and helped to seat us inside! Our server Zach was great, super attentive and kind. Broccolini burrata was served with bread, and loved to slight smokish profile with sweetness of honey(or maple I forget). Lamb ragu was flavorful with the lamb flavor not overpowering and pasta not overcooked! Cacio e Pepe pizza was creamy and nicely charred on the crust. Overall very friendly staff, great food, lovely ambiance (a little loud but tolerable) definitely will come back!!
