Dinner was outstanding. The poutine was AMAZING and that was just the first plate. I highly recommend the braised short ribs, as the polenta was so delicious! I would go here tomorrow if someone wants to get dinner, lol

The brunch menu options were not that great especially for vegetarians. The service was very slow, taking about 30 minutes from the time we sat down between ordering our first drink and receiving them. Getting our food order took even longer. I was not impressed with the food either, considering what you pay for it. The drinks however were fantastic so that made our brunch experience somewhat enjoyable. The noise level is very loud with so much chatter that it’s hard to have a conversation without having to shout. Next time I might try sitting out on the nicely shaded patio for a more relaxing dining experience. Overall, very cute place and the drinks were great but would not go back just for the food.

Our server, Imani, was the absolute best! Yesterday was the second time I had her, and I will request her from now on, as she makes the experience at Rome and Fig that much more enjoyable. Great personality and her service is top notch!

We had a very nice experience. The lovely weather led to them being able to open up their side wall and that added to the ambience. All of our food dishes were above average. The highlight of the evening was receiving my French onion soup with a tiny pair of scissors. I have thought for years that that's what every restaurant should serve with baked onion soup. It makes eating the cheese so so much easier. Kudos to the owner for coming up with that idea! Absolutely loved the local artwork pain featured on the walls as well. I would recommend checking it out if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a laid back, slightly upscale experience.

Our food was very good- so were the cocktails! Our service was superb- a little pricey but it’s Hyde Park- have to expect that. Perfect Espresso martini!

We went to Rome and Fig for brunch and sat at the bar. What a great experience, as Adam, the bartender, went above and beyond the norm. He made our day with his great personality and attentiveness. Oftentimes, it’s the staff that make a dining experience an incredible one and that certainly was the case with Adam on Sunday. He gave us nothing shy of superior service! Good food and great drinks too!

Maybe the issue was the late dining time, but the food didn’t seem as fresh or crispy. The wonton chips served with the tuna were cold and soggy. As if they were fried much earlier in the service and just now made it to a plate towards the end of the night. The croutons on the kale salad had a softness as if they were steamed in the heat of the kitchen and lost some of typical crunch that might have been there at the beginning of the day. None of the food was great. Spending over $100 on a bill with no cocktails, you’d expect the food to be better. And there’s an odd change in suggested tip where the calculations change from pretax on the itemized receipt to post tax on the final bill to be signed. Also there’s the 4% credit card service charge. This was my third trip to this restaurant and most likely my last. I know I won’t be suggesting it.
