Open fire grill restaurant where everything is cooked over alder and oak wood. Influenced by the dining cultures of Scandinavia with a great British produce. Open for lunch, dinner and late night drinks. The menu is made up of mainly smoked meat and fish dishes with a focus on fermention such as: cures, pickles and jams. Also great smoked vegetable dishes finished on a custom built wood fuelled BBQ.

Great cocktails and they specialise in brewing their own alcohol such as sparkling wines, ciders and meads.

Late night booking are encouraged during the summer so much that you'll likely be offered a free shot of Aquavit.

A unique Scandinavian smörgasbrunch menu is available throughout the week until 4pm offering smoothie bowls, waffles, sausage and egg muffins, gravadlax and more. Great place for fika (Swedish long coffee break)

Rok Islington is shut down. Slaw which is in that venue is a good vegan choice

Astonishing that OpenTable continues to allow bookings, when in fact it’s now closed down. I even got a text confirmation the day before, only to show up and find out the owners have closed up shop and moved away...

The restaurant has closed down. I went with my guests as booked but we were left sad, hungry and disappointed. Why did nobody trouble to let us know? I keep hearing I shouldn't reserve tables and then not turn up. It's a two way street! We had travelled a long way for this meal. In its day this was a super restaurant. Both Rok and OpenTable should have done better.

I have made a reservation in October for New Year’s Eve, confirmed with Open Table the day before . When we came on Monday 31st of December- restaurant was closed. It was our favourite place on Upper street, and we were very disappointed as no one informed us about closure or any changes for that night.

Had a booking for dinner at Christmas Eve. A couple of days before I got another email asking for my confirmation of the booking which I made. On Christmas Eve, I arrived at the restaurant and it was closed and no one was available by phone!

Great food, very cozy, they were very accommodating with us bringing a jet lagged baby in for a late dinner. Would definitely come back here!
