Interior is dated but acceptable.....Noise level, when main room is mostly full , is quite loud.
Tables are to close to each other not allowing an intimate conversation.....fells more like I’m in a sandwich shop for noon lunch......But with that said Our food was outstanding, my wife had the Eggplant and I had Pasta with clams......Service, by Chad, was thru the roof.....Personable, attentive, not rushed and served on the perfect time schedule.....nothing came to soon or to late.....and for me I can over look almost everything else when I get service like that....Now we were also there for NEW YEARS EVE, all the above was the same....Service was not quite as with Chad but still, considering the night, was quite good......
Myself, and my three quest had to wait for plates on every trip to buffet.
Three employees behind carving station/omelette station holding excessive conversation with female customer, ignoring customers waiting for service.
Waitress never explained how buffet worked. She took our drink order, but never told us we could proceed to the buffet. We had to ask when she returned with our drinks.
Music was excessively loud upon entering restaurant. Buffet menu could have more variety. Buffet servers need more training.
We were informed that this was the initial brunch, so we would try again down the road once bugs worked out.
I am comparing our recent brunch at Rizzutto’s to our past brunch experiences at Palmetto’s in Slidell, which also cost $25. They have been doing it a while, and have gotten their bugs worked out, and I’m sure you guys will do the same.
The food for the brunch was amazing!!! Great value!
The meal was great. However, the noise level made conversation very challenging.
The renovations are lovely although not sure why restrooms were not enlarged during a renovation which took an eternity.
Service is excellent, the hostesses and wait staff are very professional and friendly, however, the meal was not impressive. Party of four ordered two panned veals, roast pork and red gravy, and wagyu pasta. Salads were excellent, decent wine selection but the entrees were sub par. Each entrée was enough to serve 2-3 people but overloading the plate with each accompanied by a huge bowl of pasta will never make up for substandard ingredients. The veal was tough and the roast pork dry.
We tried Rizzuto;s take on the Sazerac cocktail and it was delicious. Also tried Oysters, Rizutto-excellent, stuffed mushrooms-excellent, veal marsalia and veal Parmesan- superior!
The food was very good, but very over priced. We were sent to the bar, along with all the other customers that arrived with reservations, although the dining room was empty.
The service at the bar was not good, the bartender was loud and obnoxious and cursing, very inappropriate for a 'fine dining' establishment.
We were seated and the young man filling drinks and running the food was very nice and was on top of everything, the service by the waiter was not so great at all. He kept discouraging us from ordering certain items we wanted to order.
Overall, the food was good, service not ok, and prices are extremely high.
I would go again if someone I know wanted to try it, but I wouldn't rush to go again.
The food was excellent. I’d like to have seen more seafood choices since it was Ash Wednesday when we went to Rizzuto’s. The Oysters Rockefeller app and Drum main dish were very good.
The service was slow. We were seated at 6:45 and we didn’t leave until just after 9:00 and I had to press the server to get out then. Now it was Valentines and they were busy but it should have flowed better.
Went with 3 couples for Valentines Day, everyone loved their meals, cocktails and dessert!! They had a nice wine selection. We will be back again and again!
This was our first visit to Rizzuto's. The wait staff was very attentive. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed and upscale. We will definitely return.
They are in the neighborhood. Love them good food really nice people we eat there often
Great food and friendly service! The steaks were prepared to perfection and our waitress made sure that everything was just right!
Our dining experience was great. Food and service excellent.
We had an excellent experience. The service was very slow and they seemed to be short staffed, but were very courteous and apologetic for our wait. The food certainly compensated for the wait. The filet was cooked to perfection, oysters appetizer was excellent, large juicy oysters, best ever! Chop salad was fresh and delicious, and the pasta was very flavorful. We frequent Rizzutos often, they keep getting better and better!
Ah, it wasn't worth the extra 35 min wait after our reservation time. It's very lively and loud, which I do not mind. The service was extremely slow, and the food was just okay. The tortellacci entree was a bit of a dissapointment, very dry pork. The Lobster Fra Divaolo had light tasty saucy, but the lobster was overcooked and chewy. Overall, I wouldn't come back.
Very good food.
Warm atmosphere, delicious meal and attentive staff.
Great apps and salad. Veal a tad overcooked but very tasty.
Everything was excellent except food was a little slow getting to our table. Not the waiter's fault; maybe because we were the first one's there and the kitchen wasn't ready. ??
Overall - excellent place to eat for any occasion!
Really enjoyed Rizzuto's. Friendly service, food was quite good and was a great value.
Good Italian, not great but pretty good. I had the tortellaci. Some of the meat outside the pasta was so overcooked that it literally made a click sound against the plate. Went early in the evening and had great service until a table of eleven was seated. Service then became less than mediocre.
They've been open for a bit so I am *very* unimpressed that numbers on the bill (in this case suggested tip 18%, 20%, etc) do not reflect any other value on the bill. Not the before tax, after tax, nor food without alcohol.
We enjoyed the restaurant atmosphere and food. Food was high quality for the price!
Lovely ambiance. Delicious food with good size portions. Mandi, the GM is fabulous. She makes the place feel like home.
I was disappointed in my visit to Rizzuto's; however, I would give it another try. I ordered the Bruciuluni which was cold and dry and my son's veal rizzuto looked like it was burnt around the edge. Although, the creamed spinach, eggplant valentine & oyster's rizzuto was excellent, as well as our server.
Service was terrible!! My husband and I waited 25 minutes before being greeted by our server or being asked for our beverage order. I absolutely understand that reservation times can be inaccurate, since a restaurant cannot predict a guest’s dining time, but we waited almost 30 minutes to be seated. Additionally, the food was underwhelming. We do not plan to return.
We were in New Orleans for an overnight visit. Friends recommended Rizzuto's for dinner. We are so happy they did! The food is excellent! I had chicken piccata and it was outstanding. We will be back on our next visit to New Orleans.
Good was very good as it has been on prior visits, however service was poor.
Great place to eat. We travel across the lake to enjoy the food.
The food was excellent. We all went with classic Italian options and everything was delicious. I highly recommend the eggplant Valentina appetizer. Portions were huge and definitely enough to share.
We had a group of 8 and we were very crammed into a table in the back. There were too many tables in the room we were in.
Was impressed with the service. Received wrong salad and we were inmidiately offered a replacement.
