Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Food was excellent. Service very good.
Wonderful experience. Excellent drinks, food, and service. I chose this restaurant randomly due to gaining some unexpected free time, and it was a great decision. Highly recommended!
I consider myself a tough critic when it comes to Italian food. I can say definitively that this is the best Italian food in New Orleans. Services was excellent, the wine list was fairly extensive, and the food was wonderful. We will be back.
Way too noisy, couldn't hold a conversation at the table. Won't go back.
The best part of the meal was our waiter. Food was mediocre. Service was very good
Service was wonderful, dinner was wonderful, drinks were wonderful...... need I say more
Excellent Dining Experience. From the very first greeting, we were well taken care of. The service and staff superb. The Menu was full of great choices. Everything was delicious! Drinks, Appetizers, Salads, Entrees, and Dessert. We came home with plenty leftovers! The renovation is clean, simple, and beautiful! And, they took a Polaroid pic of my husband with his complimentary Birthday Dessert!, and printed the pic for us. Grasshopper Martini💗 Such a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back! Thank You!!
Waiter talked too much, bothered some in our party. He was new to this eatery, did not know menu perfectly. Was a very nice gentleman.
Best Italian restaurant in the City. Staff was exceptionally nice, courteous, and knowledgeable.
This place was awesome! The steaks just melted in your mouth! We also loved everything else we had, including the fabulous mushroom salad. Great, great place. We will be back!!!!!
We had a table of 5 at Rizzuto's on a Tuesday evening. Everyone enjoyed our meal. The cocktails were good. They put brandied cherries in their old fashioneds, as everyone should do. They make them with top shelf bourbon and don't put in too much bitters. We had the oyster appetizer. They were good, but not as good as at some other places. They tended to the drier side. The marinated mushroom appetizer was great and very light. Everyone got something different and there were no complaints whatsoever about the veal marsala, the chicken piccata, the veal Rizzuto, the oyster bordelaise pasta or the linguine and clams. Everyone said theirs was excellent! The chocolate cheesecake that we shared for dessert was also very good and I'm not a big fan of cheesecake. 2 of us had espresso martinis for dessert. Yuuummmm! We love this place and are very happy to have it in our West Lakeview neighborhood.
What great service and delicious food! A must go to!!
I was pleasantly surprised at the food my family and I received from Rizzuto's. The portions are HUGE! My mom got a New York strip that was cooked perfectly. The a la carte baked potato was too small for the price. My husband and I both had Italian dishes that were AMAZING and HUGE. I took home a full meal, after eating half of my meal. There was hardly anyone there, so I would have liked the service to be a little more attentive.
Great wine list! Wonderful Italian and Chop selections! Menu is actually a pleasure to read. Innovative specials as well. Owners were in the dining room stopping at each table to welcome the diners and actually stayed for conversation. More than a little pricey ... but wonderful for special occasions or that meal that needs to be impressive. This is THE place! We were celebrating a birthday ... and Chef sent a birthday dessert to table for us. Delish! Definitely will be back!
We got there just as they were closing but seated us since we where there before 8pm. The brussel sprouts appetizer was very good. I had the cowboy pork chop and it was excellent. My other guests thoroughly enjoyed their meal selections as well. Only issue we had was the waiters somewhat in disagreement of who should wait our table, but the service was very good.
This is he first time dining at Rizzuto’s and it certainly won’t be the last!! The food was amazing! The service was excellent! The atmosphere was beautiful - elegant but not stuffy.
Been three times. Third was the charm as restaurant has improved since opening. Service very good. Food delish. Would suggest doing more with the landscape and opening drapes/window coverings.
Went several weeks ago and it was great. This second time was not good. Service was terrible. Food ok. Since it is a new restaurant, I will give it a third try and hope they can correct the issues.
Second visit since Tony Angelo's closed. Very disappointed in red sauce taste with Eggplant dishes. Overcooked. Olive Oil with bread much too heavy. Bad night for the Kitchen. Staff was very pleasant. Wine overpriced and light portions.
Our second time dining and the food was excellent, again.
Overall good very good. Loud and service a little slow. Definitely will try it again
The food and service was great. The portions were tremendous and we could have split them. We did share the wedge salad which was one of the best salads I ever had.
We had reservations and were seated promptly. However we waited 40 minutes for a drink! Our waitress Erica was hardly apologetic and some what laughing about her tardiness! The guy pouring our water kept apologizing as he knew how bad the service was!
We live in the neighborhood and will not be coming back!
It took forever to be served. Had been there twice before, & service was good. We got there at 7:30 & didn’t get food till 8:50.
Chef Frank came to the table, made suggestions and was not disappointed! Food was excellent!
Best kept secret in New Orleans for fine dining at a very reasonable price.
The food was very good, portions are huge! Service was top-notch. We will go back.
Great menu, great server, large portions. Loved everything.
Service was great and the food was very good.
The food was delicious! The portions were huge. A great value. Only problem was the noise come from the bar. Hard to talk to one another over it. Took away from the atmosphere of the restaurant.
We had the special appetizer of oysters Rockefeller. These were some of the best oysters that I've eaten ever. My husband had veal parm and I had the veal rizzuto. Both were really delicious and could have fed 4 people so servings are large. The only thing I would suggest was to inquire about the prices of the wine and food specials. We were told by our waitress there was a great wine special going on - we did not even think to ask about the price. The bottle was $74 dollars which in my opinion is not a good deal or special price. Other than that - I would go back to this place again with a smile on my face.
Took 30 minutes+ before appetizers were delivered and 35 min before entrees were delivered. Restaurant was very loud. Expectations were much higher. Disappointed and don’t have any reason to return right now. Both entrees were of good quality though.
Great combination of good steaks and Italian dishes. Good wine menu
Interior is dated but acceptable.....Noise level, when main room is mostly full , is quite loud.
Tables are to close to each other not allowing an intimate conversation.....fells more like I’m in a sandwich shop for noon lunch......But with that said Our food was outstanding, my wife had the Eggplant and I had Pasta with clams......Service, by Chad, was thru the roof.....Personable, attentive, not rushed and served on the perfect time schedule.....nothing came to soon or to late.....and for me I can over look almost everything else when I get service like that....Now we were also there for NEW YEARS EVE, all the above was the same....Service was not quite as with Chad but still, considering the night, was quite good......
Myself, and my three quest had to wait for plates on every trip to buffet.
Three employees behind carving station/omelette station holding excessive conversation with female customer, ignoring customers waiting for service.
Waitress never explained how buffet worked. She took our drink order, but never told us we could proceed to the buffet. We had to ask when she returned with our drinks.
Music was excessively loud upon entering restaurant. Buffet menu could have more variety. Buffet servers need more training.
We were informed that this was the initial brunch, so we would try again down the road once bugs worked out.
I am comparing our recent brunch at Rizzutto’s to our past brunch experiences at Palmetto’s in Slidell, which also cost $25. They have been doing it a while, and have gotten their bugs worked out, and I’m sure you guys will do the same.
The food for the brunch was amazing!!! Great value!
The meal was great. However, the noise level made conversation very challenging.
The renovations are lovely although not sure why restrooms were not enlarged during a renovation which took an eternity.
Service is excellent, the hostesses and wait staff are very professional and friendly, however, the meal was not impressive. Party of four ordered two panned veals, roast pork and red gravy, and wagyu pasta. Salads were excellent, decent wine selection but the entrees were sub par. Each entrée was enough to serve 2-3 people but overloading the plate with each accompanied by a huge bowl of pasta will never make up for substandard ingredients. The veal was tough and the roast pork dry.
We tried Rizzuto;s take on the Sazerac cocktail and it was delicious. Also tried Oysters, Rizutto-excellent, stuffed mushrooms-excellent, veal marsalia and veal Parmesan- superior!
