We love coming to River Vine for breakfast for the two of us or for a special occasion with friends for lunch.
I miss dining at River Vine. Everyone is very kind and professional, the food is delicious, and they go out of there way to make you feel special!
My friend raved about the Cesar salad and I had a veggie burger which was delicious as well. The staff was attentive, made sure the water glasses were always refilled and checked in on us a couple of times. The hotel property is lovely this time of year with tulips of many colors everywhere. I will go back.
This was my second visit to River Vine and it was consistent with the first in that the food and service were excellent, but the indoor venue can be very noisy and it is a bit pricey.
First time we were a couple, this time we were a group of six for a mid-week lunch. As it was a business lunch, I asked for a quiet space, and River Vine could not have been more accommodating in putting us in a smaller space where we were the only diners for most of an hour. Fortunately, it was a beautiful day so the server opened the doors and windows, which helped baffle the noise. Even so, the acoustics of the room were such that with just our small group the decibels could creep up. Given the amount of money spent on the restaurant, I wish they had spent a little more to put in noise damping features.
The food was exceptionally good and the service was courteous and efficient. The setting is lovely and, if a little quieter, would get 5 stars, but unfortunately the noise can really ruin the meal.
Overall, I would definitely come back, but I would be very selective to come at off-peak times and to avail of outdoor seating if it is available.
My friend loved the fried chicken sandwich and the pot du creme.
I liked the truffle porcini and loved the pot du creme.
We enjoyed our meal and the variety of options.
The food was very tasty but the portion was small
Lovely setting. Service excellent. Food choices very good with fair prices. Bloody Mary for brunch was the best I’ve had. Noise level was average for this setting.
First visit at River Vine. Birthday for a friend. Awesome. Would highly recommend.
Overall, I enjoy River Vine as does my husband. We went there this morning as a going away for a good friend. Unfortunately, the food was a bit hum drum this time around. I had the veggie scramble which was decent, but my friend and husband had eggs benedict which left a lot to be desired. The sauce tasted like mayo and there was hardly any lemon taste to it at all. The english muffins were hard as rocks. I do have to say that the manager asked how are meals were and when my friend said what was disappointing about the breakfast, he took the entree off our bill. Everyone in the restaurant is very nice and overall we had a lovely going away. Unfortunately, there was an extremely LOUD group of women at the table next to us which took away from our experience. We will go back, but I have to say this go round was disappointing.
Had a wonderful brunch with friends at River Vine. It's a great location and they take both service and food quality seriously. Our third time here in the last three months and we will certainly be back.
We had a fabulous Valentine’s Day brunch! The staff were awesome.
Excellent service from Robert to our efficient and friendly server. We will be returning to the beautiful resort.
Breakfast potatoes are unreal. Don’t know how they cook them but I would make these for any guest Eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce was excellent. Looking forward to returning.
I brought my mother her for her 101st birthday and the staff could not have been nicer! The food was delicious and the menu varied for brunch lovers that want some nice choices. They started with bringing us some mini homemade Scones with homemade blueberry jam followed by our fabulous meals. Also don’t miss getting their Bloody Mary that comes with a cooked strip of maple bacon in it along with an olive, pickled red chili pepper and cauliflower too fun and yummy! They even brought out a lovely dark chocolate cake with whipped cream and a strawberry with a candle in it for my mom as a surprise to all of us which was incredibly sweet. Don’t miss this little jewel of a restaurant for brunch in Sonoma County and thanks to the entire staff for making my moms day so special!
We went for birthday brunch and it was fabulous.
Ricotta lemon pancakes and Eggs Benedict
were amazing. Our server was attentive and made sure everyone was happy. It was a wonderful experience.
Can’t wait to return.
Loved the little blueberry scones they brought to the table with their compliments.
We eat at River Vine frequently. Sunday’s brunch was absolutely amazing. The garden Benedict was delicious. Potatoes were crunchy outside a soft inside. Perfect meal!
I took my mother here for her birthday. We had a reservation at 10:30 but we were seated approximately 10 min later. Our waitress was very sweet and in no way to blame for how long it took to get our meal. My mother was half way done with her meal when I noticed a short, black, curly hair in her food. We were both disgusted and she immediately was finished. Due to the slow service and having to be somewhere, we did not mention anything about the hair in her food. We just wanted to leave. This was my first time eating here and definitely my last time. I was not impressed at all.
Steak underdone, still quivering.
Sent back still underdone.
Ended up ditching the steak and ordering another main course.
Very poor, very disappointing.
Today I had the new menu and had the terrific ceaser salad to Begin. Followed by the Duck Con-fee not was Excellent. Great cappuccino to finish the meal. And today we had the fresh may benyea with dipping sauce . Excellent service as usual. Yes but get there before 2 pm when they stop serving. A must go to. 👍👍👍
Always a great time with great food and wonderful food!
We had a wonderful meal and an awesome waiter!!!
We had a very nice Sunday Brunch and had a great meal and a great time, would go back back for sure.
The food was amazing and the surroundings beautiful!! Couldn’t have been more lovely.
My favorite place for breakfast ... but don't tell anyone! :-)
Nice and great food
We love this place. The food is always great. Bobby is the best host/manager, he always makes sure we are taken care of. We definitely recommend it for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
Always delivers good food and great atmosphere , good service
A hidden gem - we will definitely go back. Weather permitting, outside dining is delightful!
Excellent foods, terrific service .
Best breakfast in town but don't tell anyone! :-)
We had caesar salads, one plain one with prawns. Awesome, whole leaf salad, well dressed.
The burger was on point, served with string french fries.
The only disappointment was the waldorf salad. The greens were limp, the dressing was
bland, the chicken..forgettable. I would skip that one.
Bobby and the entire staff is well trained and service oriented.
We loved eating in the garden. I've been there twice before, and I will definitely return.
It was amazing experience start to finish. I started off with coffee and beignets they were to die for. Then I order the steak and eggs my steak was over cooked but within 4 minutes I got a new steak ! Beautiful outside dining and inside as well! I can’t wait to go back!
We have lunched here many times, and celebrated our 25th anniversary there yesterday. Sitting outside is so lovely! It's a lovely experience overall.
We had a lovely brunch today. Bobby the manager greeted us and had us wait while he checked to see if our table was ready. The dining room was fairly busy, but our waiter checked with us immediately. I ordered a latte and my husband a glass of wine plus the beignets. They were perfectly presented with chocolate sauce and were delicious. I ordered a spinach & mushroom omelette with bacon. A very generous portion and tasty. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich. It was also a large portion and very good.
The dining room is small, so it tends to be quite energetic when tables are filled. River Vine Cafe is a perfect restaurant for lunch. We will be back.
This is definitely my favorite breakfast spot! The staff if friendly, the service is spot on, the food is fantastic! You should sell packages of those starter scones! :-)
Great food and service! Large group of us and everyone loved it! Love this property too.
We've had almost everything on the menu and food is fresh, tasty, and cooked to perfection.
River Vine Cafe is our favorite breakfast/lunch/brunch spot in all of Napa and Sonoma.
It is beautiful, warm, and inviting. ALL of the employees are highly engaged and attentive.
Bobby makes the place, for sure! He remembers details and always acts as if you are the only party on the planet...he is brilliant in his work. We now say, "let's go see Bobby", versus "let's go to River Vine Cafe".
They serve a perfect mini scone as their welcome when you are seated. The coffee is always hot and fresh. The menu is diverse: easy to dine here as a vegan or gluten free individual. The kitchen will customize anything.
This is a place to relax and enjoy each delectable moment. Start with the Beignets: they are simply divine and the chicory chocolate sauce is perfection!
Everything here is so wonderful. If you can't decide, all of the staff are well versed and can help you decide.
If the weather cooperates, dine al fresco on the beautiful patio.
We are lucky to have such a thoughtful and delightful spot in Santa Rosa.
You will feel like you are in an oasis, although Vintners is just off the highway!
I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly.
