Ristorante Di Sopra
The sister restaurant to award-winning Paravicini’s Italian Bistro. Located in Old Colorado City, with panoramic views and rooftop patio dining available.
Ristorante Di Sopra will feature Chef Franco’s creative genius on Italian classics with seasonal specialties.
The Wine list boasts over 100 bottles, classic cocktails, and an extensive craft beer selection.
Whether it be inside the modern styled dining area, or on the second story patio with breathtaking views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding mountains, you are guaranteed to be impressed at Ristorante Di Sopra.
They have adapted nicely to the "social distancing" mandates of our state.
Chef has expanded the menu with more dinner selections and the food is terrific, as it was before but now there is more to choose from. This place is just a gem; I loved it the first time we went when it was the wine bar and now it's even better.
We were seated 30 minutes past our reservations. While the owner made up for it by giving up a meat and cheese appetizer, this was unexpected. Please space the reservations further out if necessary. The food was okay. It's been better in the past. It was disappointing since we were celebrating a special event. We wanted to sit outdoors so we could see the beautiful view but the flaps were down and again we were disappointed. It made it very warm in there.
This is the best kept secret ever. Classy, delicious and romantic
Since the Coronavirus outbreak have only been to a few places outdoor dining. So patio dining only for me now. I’ve dined at Sopra before inside and out and always SO good!!! The main courses were outstanding, veal Osso Bucco and Shrimp scampi with polenta. Desserts were so good, tiramisu and lemon cream cake. Drinks were good as well!
My only complaint would be there is zero ambiance.
I know it’s a patio but throw a few plants up maybe a tiny vase of flowers on the tables etc
Service and staff were top notch.
Food was good, not great.
Thought it lacked flavor.
Maybe it’s because we lived in a large city before or it’s all the pandemic stuff or we picked the wrong dish.
Will try again but thought Red Gravy in downtown was better when we tried that (but that was pre-pandemic).
Plan to give them another try in the future.
As always, Chef Franco and staff go above and beyond to make sure that your meal a memorable experience!
Always one of our favorite places but, this time, the food was not of the quality that we have received in the past even though prices had been raised, at least on some things. Service was great, as always.
We also had a large (larger than allowed due to covid) next to us. Since the staff had to rearrange seating to fit them all, they were well aware. The group thought it was OK to remove their masks and then stand around right next to our table talking instead of sitting at their table.
Wonderful dining experience. Chef and his staff were really attentive all evening. There were a few minor hiccups that Chef personally came out to make right. Love that! Food was delish too. My only suggestion would be to serve the red wine at the proper temp. They were a little too warm, but that’s a very minor thing. The whole experience was great!
We had a lovely evening on their deck. Everything was wonderful.
This is the best restaurant in Colorado Springs,,,, we ate outside on the patio and it was fabulous. Chef Franco is amazing!!!

Great food and service! Enjoy!
This was the BEST food and experience ever! We never have date night but sure will now! Will only go here! Both plates were absolutely delicious and fresh! Customer service was top notch!
Food was amazing and our waitress was fantastic! Would definitely recommend!
Been here several times in the past and it was great, but this time it wasn't too good. The waiter seemed overwhelmed with only 2 tables and everything seemed to take forever to come out of the kitchen. Food was not hot and the steak was overcooked. Even getting the checks paid for was a 15-20 min wait.
The mozzarella salad, biztecca, and whiskey drinks exceeded my expectations ! The service was spot on and upbeat. I'm looking forward to going back again and again.
Food is great as always, and had the only poor service experience ever at Sopra. Server was pleasant but not attentive and didn't seem full of common sense in terms of what our needs were.
Didn't get to try the food ,but it look amazing. The wine was amazing and so was the dessert.
We had a great time at Sopra. The service and food were amazing. Truly a lovely dinner out. We’ll definitely return to Sopra.
Valentines Day. We had their special, it was fantastic overall!
Our favorite place. Shared Small plates is just right for us. Great selection of wine as well.
I had a wonderful birthday celebration! The staff were wonderful. Everyone loved the food.
Wonderful place for Date night.
What a great restaurant! The appetizers were incredible. The long stem artichokes were first rate as were the crab puffs. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Colorado!
I’ve been in hospitality for more than 10 years. Saying its bright in there at 7:15 is an understatement.
The food is... fine. The portions are generous for the price point. It’s nothing to write home about. You don’t leave unsatisfied but the flavors need some fine tuning.
The wine list is interesting. It’s a combination of:
If you know the producer you’ll pay what we tell you and:
If you love wine we have some wonderful treats for you.
That being said if you want to pay $90 for a $35 bottle of Rombauer Chardonnay you have found your home. If you want to pay under $50 for a beautiful Barbara from Piemonte...you have found a place that buys these wines on close out and prices them accordingly.
The only feedback I thing that should matter to the manager or owner that reads this is: EDUCATED STAFF SELLS WINE. Our server, sweet as he was, couldn’t open a bottle of wine with out peeling the foil back with his fingers. Let alone present the wine
with a cloth. He also didn’t know the wine list or the simple basics of pairing food with wine. Teaching your servers how to open, and serve, a bottle at the table should be a basic training step of any wine bar. Pairings come with time, and the want to teach your staff about the product.
Our experience was fine.... I hope our server learned something about how to open a bottle of wine from us.
Amazing service and food. Was a little bit loud, but the space was cozy. Can’t wait to go back when the weather is better and enjoy the patio.
If Sopra is a more elegant version of Paravicini then they have a bit of work on their serving.
1. All entrees should arrive together
2. Cheese? This is Italian right?
3. Prebussing, dessert arrived with lots of spoons for sharing although no one could reach them around the dishes. You may have sold more if everyone could take a taste. Also, plenary of staff walking around and our server and food runner left the table with nothing. Full hands in and out of the kitchen.
Maybe it’s CO or maybe it’s the time we live in, I grew up in NJ in an Italian family going to many Italian restaurants. I want to make your restaurants my go to, I am having trouble.
It’s a sketchy climb up the stairs to Sopra, but the service was friendly, and the food delicious. Since it’s tapas, some serving sizes aren’t as large as we wanted, but the food is very filling, and made for taste. The enter portions are pretty well I sized, and it was delicious. We had crab risotto balls, meatballs, chicken penne, and house Cabernet. It was delicious, just a little more pricey than typical Italian dinning.
Lovely find in Old Colorado City. Would go again.
Great food and great service!
Always fun to go to Sopra - great atmosphere and awesome deck area in the summer. Food is always tasty - though one of our appetizers was not up to par this time round. Lobster bisque was delicious! So glad they added more salad options to the menu.
Nice place. Food was very good. A little noisy for us, but some people like that.
Great service, seared quickly, server was attentive and quick. Great food, good taste and temperature, good portions. This was our second visit and we will be back.
Great food and lovely atmosphere. Great addition to OCC.
Logan is the best waitress ever! The atmosphere and food is always delicious.
We were celebrating my wife's birthday with another couple. All of our food was excellent, with great flavor and correct temperature, save one entree. Unfortunately, the poor service quality detracted from the occasion. We were seated for at least 10 minutes before a wait person appeared. Two of our menus had the wrong pages exposed, which required a trip to the maître de because the wait person wasn't around. One of our party ordered the special of the night, beef tenderloin, and was not asked how she wanted the beef cooked. Naturally, it came bloody rare, not to her liking. Even though I informed the restaurant that the occasion was a birthday celebration, there was no acknowledgement or special arrangement offered to the honored guest. Will we return? Yes, but will not accept the same wait person we had, if she is still there.
The food was just incredible. Service was good and the atmosphere was to die for. The prices were on par with the quality of food and service. Love the up stairs patio equipped with space heaters (that actually work) so it's good for all seasons. Definitely returning.
Great service, the food was mostly amazing and the atmosphere is nice.
Excellent Pikes Peak Restaurant Week menu. Thank you for the wonderful food!
Great - the food & service was fabulous. It was a beautiful night on the deck!
