We love the place the menu I feel would be better with pasta with meat selections also... a little more diverse menu for normal taste buds
The food was such a disappointment. It used to be wonderful. Things were plated beautifully, looked delicious & had no taste. Hot food not hot enough & appetizers not quite cold enough. There was lovely oyster with caviar ...not very cold & totally no taste. It’s like under seasoned or something. Been there twice lately. Don’t think there will be a third visit.
We had Christmas Brunch, and it was delicious. The lobster tail and caviar were a big hit for most of the guests. My only wish is that the desserts were tastier this time. I remember the Christmas Brunch a few years ago had a beautiful large Yule Log cake that was so fresh and moist. This time, it was very small, cold, and dry. The service from valet to wait staff to management was outstanding. Everyone was extremely attentive. We will definitely return next year!
We love the Sunday Brunch here. Everything is fresh, and there is always a wonderful section of traditional breakfast/Brunch items along with fresh seafood, fruit; and special entrees like today’s sea bass, seafood stew, even tomato basil soup! Service is attentive and courteous, even with the valet service as you enter. A favorite spot!
As always, superior service and excellent selection of food. Added bonus was complimentary picture taking.
The setting is gorgeous. Loved the little bar with a singer, but too crowded until late. I would have given this place excellent ratings, but the service was incredibly slow, though there only two other dining tables filled when we walked into the dining room. Finally had to get up and go to the bar to get a cocktail to bring back . Inexplicable, and no acknowledgment of the glacial speed by staff. The hostess was lovely.
I love elegance, but I also expect food and drink! Have been to the Hotel Granduca in Austin, and did not have this problem there.
Our eggs were cold, cold, cold. First time bad food experience at Ristorante Cavour.
Highly recommend for Sunday Brunch
It was perfect for a nice quiet business breakfast. Food and service were excellent, and the beautiful quiet environment was just what we needed.
Food was great. Service and chef were great. Atmosphere was grest.
Birthday brunch for my husband

Dear Garners Thank you very much for your kind review following your recent visit of Cavour Restaurant. I was thrilled to hear that you had excellent and enjoyable time. I hope that we will be able to welcome you back very soon. Warmest regards, Jarek Sawicki Food and Beverage Manager
This restaurant is no longer worth the money to eat here. The quality, and selection of food here is
not worth waisting your time, and money. The mimosas had little to no champagne in them, and made in the back instead of at the table like in the past. The server spilled the mimosas over my eating area and made no attempt to clean up the mess he maid. This is not what I expect from a five star restaurant.
The Eggs Benedict was over cooked, and the ham was so salty it was inedible.
Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
Dear Theo, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback Your constructive feedback is very much appreciated, and I will personally look into the points of criticism which we are taking very seriously and as an opportunity to work on perfecting the services and products we offer to our guests I do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, please feel free to reach out to me directly if I can assist in anyway Sincerely Jarek Sawicki Food and Beverage Manager
Amazing brunch choices! it is well worth the price.
Live music, great buffet, complementary mimosas or prosecco.
Server need to pay close attention to table such as when customers finish eating plates should be removed not wait till customers waved over. Also, bread brought up to table was burned and should not have happened at this type of restaurant.
Always exceptional service. The Chef is spot on for Northern Italian cuisine. Love Cavour!
Cavour is a perhaps the only true European style restaurant in the city. The dining room is small to give that feel of so many restaurants in Europe. The food is very good and the service is exemplary!
Warm wine, tasteless risotto, Americanized tiramisu served with soup spoons (!). Cavour is not what it used to be.
Always great food and service and ambience!
Nice quiet bar and restaurant. The bartenders, waiters, and sommelier are top notch. Then there is the food. Branzino rates with any fine restaurant in the world. Highly recommended.
Perfect in every way!
The setting is exquisite, the service flawless and the food is amazing.
Yes, this place needs to be experienced by foodies and wine connoisseurs
Welcoming Staff , great food and presentation, beautiful atmosphere!
Planning on returning this week , bring friends to enjoy the experience!
Fantastic! My wife wants to go back once a week ! I will oblige.
Chef Ferrarese has transformed this restaurant in one with the best Italian food in town. The secret is out.
The service beyond perfect and the food and wine cellar are outstanding.
What a joy to have a place like this in the heart of town.
We will be back many times.
It was not made clear in ads nor when being seated that the Mothers Day Brunch
My favorite for a laidback Sunday brunch
Exceptional food and service! This evening, I had the seared scallops with crispy prosciutto and braised cauliflower. The scallops were wonderful, firm and full of flavor; and the crispy, smoky prosciutto was a nice accompaniment. Also enjoyed a creamy burrata and tomato salad as a starter. The portions aren’t overly large, but always expertly prepared and presented.
Overall a good experience. However at the beginning of the event the staff was confused about the table seating. This was rectified and the rest of the lunch celebration event was wonderful.
We have come here several times before including for larger events which we hosted there and again the quality of the food is always excellent, the atmosphere is quaint, sophisticated and very European.
We have come with high expectations and have yet to be disappointed,
The best choice for a quiet business lunch with lots of amazing and healthy choices! The service was amazing. We sat outside and the ambiance could not have been better.
Beautiful restaurant! Service superb!
Amazing dinner ! The Chef came to the table and explained all the dishes he prepared for our anniversary
Now my sister is coming back for her birthday...
This is the best restaurant experience in Houston!
great food, service and atmosphere. Quiet enough to have a conversation without yelling. will go back for sure.
Absolutely fabulous!!! The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent. We will definitely be returning for another Sunday buffet and I will be telling all my friends about our experience. We had a private dining room and could hear the piano player in the background. The surroundings, atmosphere, furniture, fresh flowers, comfortable chairs and beautiful table settings were delightful. The wait staff is extremely knowledgeable and the food presentation is amazing. The omelette bar/pasta bar is a favorite and the mini desserts are delicious!!! Also the seafood is fresh and well prepared. I love the crab legs and shrimp. The view we had overlooked the swimming pool. You definitely don't feel like you're in the middle of Houston with the beautiful landscape and quiet atmosphere. The staff checked on us often and were extremely attentive. It was a gorgeous day and we stayed for hours enjoying the entire experience.
Old world charm with delicious food and great service.
The Brunch here is always outstanding. More intimate than most, as it is inside this boutique hotel; but the food and variety is always excellent and fresh. A nice mixture of hot and cold, meat, seafood and vegetable entrees means that there’s something for everyone. Also there is a nice mix of ‘individual-size’ servings to the the self-serve options.
The wait staff is also excellent and attentive, without being overly bearing. Persons are greeted by name, always a nice touch.
Ristorante Cavour is my favourite Italian restaurant in Houston. Outstanding atmosphere and impeccable service. It is not "just dining" but having a sensorial and emotional experience. Acquerello Risotto and Tiramisu are amazing: creamy and elegant. The wine list offers a wide selection from all over the world. Thank to the Room Manager and the Chef we lived an unforgettable evening.
Nice, quiet romantic meal. Only rated 4 stars, because we didn't really enjoy our wine selection (I'd rate the bottle we ordered 3 stars), otherwise food, service, and ambiance were very good. Also, we were dining with our 21 month old toddler, and I'd say the service was family friendly.
A girls lunch that turned into a 2 hours chat session... we had the best meal and could not stop admiring the dish presentations at our table and those around us.
We met the Chef who came out to greet us and prepared an amazing meal.
This is not the first time we lunched at Cavour, and we will come back many more times with more girlfriends. It is the perfect place elegant but not intimidating .
Service is attentive and discreet at the same time.
I think it will become my “go-to” place from now on.
We had the two Valentines Day entree choices. The Beef was excellent.
The seafood dish actually lacked seafood.
Disappointing considering the cost. Could have been so much better. Was like a paella without the seafood. Mmmmmm
Love the place. Very comfortable and low noise level to talk. Third time to come.
Will be back.
