Serving dinner nightly and Sunday Jazz Brunch Restaurant R’evolution is the first joint venture of award winning chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto, offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Located inside the iconic Royal Sonesta New Orleans hotel in the heart of the French Quarter, Restaurant R’evolution’s menu reflects a melding of the chefs’ distinct culinary styles. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs’ interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo, po’ boys, and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as “the swamp floor pantry.” Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying.

A go to every time we stop in the city of New Orleans, this trip every thing was on point, service, food, atmosphere!

Second visit and the result was the same, and consistency is a good thing when you are great at what you do. Excellent at all aspects, only dinged the value because its the high end of the market and there's lots of competition. But the value is there, just remember it is Fine Dining. Menu options were great, Staff recommendations were spot on, ambiance and atmosphere are great. We were early for our reservation and had lost a person due to the Coronavirus overreaction, but we were accommodated without problem.

Have been here for business but can this time with my wife. Food & service were outstanding as in the past. You MUST have the Death by Gumbo!
The restaurant itself is 3 distinct rooms, each more beautiful than the next.
A must go to place when in NoLa.

Our party of eight ordered enough variety to say order anything you want. It is all excellent. Our Tomahawk 40oz rib eye was amazing. The wine and spirit selection is topnotch and the service is exemplary of a high end restaurant. Of course, priced accordingly so don't be surprised.

This is my second visit in the same number of years. I have service was not up to par. The waiters delivered several dishes to our table that were not ours. They even brought us the wrong check. We were afraid that our order would get messed up but we were OK.

The food is good. Very good. But not great. Its as if they try to hard. My fillet had a wine base glaze that had a ton of ingredients in it. Again it’s like they were trying to hard to make something special out of a dish that’s pretty simple to do.

Did not enjoy the seafood gumbo. Too bland. However the bar and the drink menu is excellent. There are too many restaurants in the French Quarter that are far superior to my recent experience.

Not sure if I’ll return.

Very special from start to finish. Our waiters Travis, Colon and Michael were exceptional! The food outstanding and great ambiance. Went back for Sunday Brunch and couldn’t decide which dining experience was better!

We had a wonderful night - one of our favourite restaurants of our trip. Everything was incredible, especially the 'death by gumbo' which was a real surprise for us. We would definitely go again if back in town.

Loved it! Went on our first night out in NOLA and it set the bar high, preferred it to commanders palace where we went the next day. Must get the death by gumbo when you come, also crab beignets. We also had the short ribs and lobster gnocchi which were amazing. The chocolate soufflé for dessert was perfect! Best meal I’ve had in a long time.

Wow, the experience was amazing. Th wait staff were attentive and made sure all of our needs were met. The food was not only beautiful but tasty. The head waiter arranged for our son who wants to be a chef to tour the kitchen; what a special treat.

I loved the idea of this place. Awesome space, great ambiance. I found the service extremely casual for the level of restaurant (and price). My wife and I both ordered the tasting menu. The food was outstanding, particularly the lobster and the short rib dishes.

But as each course was served, the server essentially dropped the plates and left. No explanation as to what we were eating, no description, and not even a "and now your next course is here..." Again, for this level of restaurant, I expected more.

Again, the food was terrific, but as we all know, the dining experience is far more than just the food.

The menu left us in a quandary as to what to order. Ended up ordering more than we should, but it was all wonderful. The service was awesome, as well, with three people taking orders, bringing drinks, offering wine advise, serving wine, clearing plates... My husband loved it so much, he took a friend to dinner the next night, as I was flying elsewhere.

First we got dropped off from an unpleasant Lyft, the worst.
When we got sat, we were welcomed graciously. We felt comfortable instantly. The whole experience was a magnificent experience, I would highly recommend.
The drinks were superb, we had a little confusion with a drink but they quickly corrected our issue. the food was outstanding.. we are from Napa Valley, a culinary mecca.
We left impressed and satisfied.
The ending made us forget our horrible Lyft ride to the restaurant.
I’d rate this 5 starts and more. I’d like to thank the whole team.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere. With Chef Clayton Canepari as the "conductor", his orchestra produces a symphony of flavors that matches anyone's individual palate. I will cherish my dining experience at Restaurant R'evolution for a very log time to come!

We went for my birthday on a recommendation from a friend and so glad we were told about this place! The service was amazing and the food was outstanding. We have already decided to make this a regular visit when in town and look forward to trying out the happy hour.

Nice place and service but few things on the menu we could eat due to our allergies (gluten/dairy). The items that we could have were made very bland and minimal portions for the money.

Ricotta gnocchi was amazing ❤️❤️❤️ Great appetizers and drinks! My boyfriend said his steak was cooked perfectly and he’s picky about that. Love this place and would definitely comeback

Easily my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Old school NOLA charm meets innovative plates from fresh ingredients. One of the strongest wine lists in the city and bartenders who mix excellent cocktails. I visit more often than I should (for my wallet), but I can’t stay away!

Would have been 5 across the board but hostess was rude and condescending I had the pork chop which was excellent. She had the seared fish which was also vet good. Could use some more bus training as dishes from prior guest are not cleaned up right away after they leave.

This is the second time we have dined there and each time we have sat by an extremely loud and annoying table. The first time we almost left but the other table finally left. However, this time the wait staff was interacting with the loud table which encouraged the people to yell and scream when laughing. If we ever go again we will ask to be moved.
