Food was great and the restaurant was beautiful. As closing time for the kitchen approached (9pm) we felt rushed to finish and leave. They were also giving tours of the kitchen to some parties so it was a bit annoying to have people standing around our table while we were eating since we were seated near the kitchen entrance.
The most perfect Mother’s Day brunch! Incredible food, superb service in a beautiful atmosphere.
Outstanding meal, but the service was even better! Rory and DeShon were fantastic!
Beautiful atmosphere! Wonderful food! Great staff. We were spoiled from beginning to end!
Great food, nice ambiance, and wonderful service. Highly recommend!
We dined here Saturday night for my boyfriend’s birthday on Saturday night and had a wonderful experience. The service was phenomenal from walking in the door to walking out, highlighted by our table servers Travis and Nick who really made our night a great time. The food was so visually appealing and some of the best fine dining I’ve had in a while, with the prices being very fair in my opinion. I could go on and on but I’ll just say I highly recommend a dining experience at Restaurant R’evolution!
Was a fantastic meal and drinks, service was super welcoming and inviting. Great place to have an upscale meal without feeling out of place.
Simply the best restaurant in New Orleans. It’s not even close.
Venison chop was amazing
My fiancé and I came here to celebrate our one year to our wedding, and let me just say the experience was out of this world! J took care of everything for us! She was absolutely amazing! She gave us outstanding recommendations and gave us an experience we would never forget!
We traveled to New Orleans for my husband’s 60th birthday and on our last night we had dinner at R’evolution. Everything was great, timing of the courses were spot on and the food was fabulous.
Went to New Orleans for the first time from Miami,Fl. Exceptional service and food you just can’t get in a big city like Miami. Wonderful service and delicious food. Everything was absolutely top notch.
Superb drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert
Amazing from start to finish
Great atmosphere Great staff and Good food. We mixed up our reservation and arrived 1 hour late and we were still able to be seated. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Will definitely return
Great food with great service
This is an outstanding restaurant. From the cocktails to desert. I would highly
recommend this restaurant.
everything was EXCEPTIONAL!
Its a cool place, but the food could have been better. It was a nice ambiance. Nothing special overall.
This was one of my all time favorites before Covid. The lobster gnocchi was the best This time still good but the gnocchi were bigger and denser they used to be so light a fluffy. They just opened so will try again
Anniversary dinner was very casual but upscale. We enjoyed our time and food!
The Service was outstanding, very attentive. The food was delicious. My day was the Gumbo. Must try!
Bringing first timers there.
This was my 4th time at this restaurant and boy has it gone down. It used to be my favorite restaurant in the world and I have been blessed to do a lot of traveling. Everything from the service to the food has gone down. What used to be an exceptional dining experience has now been on the level of any chain restaurant. I am more sad than disappointed to see how bad it has got. I guess that’s how all things go. I won’t be returning anytime soon.
Very noisy and happy with great service and fabulous inventive menu items.
We were staying in the Royal Sonesta so we were very much looking forward to dining in Restaurant Revolution. The menu choices were extensive and we loved every selection we made. The wait staff was patient and knowledgeable. It was just a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We look forward to a return visit.
A New Orleans must - Consistently an all around great dining experience.
My latest dining experience at Restaurant R'evolution was a disappointment. When I'm in NOLA, I try to include at least one visit to Restaurant R'evolution for an authentic new take on Louisiana Cajun and Creole cuisine. I seriously doubt I'll return.
Although I had some issues with the restaurant in the past, I felt the cuisine itself, for the most part, was worth a return trip. I no longer feel this way. I regret providing a negative review with the serious impact of the pandemic on the restaurant industry, but a negative review is the honest result of my experience.
The service itself was above average and was very good. The ambience was seriously impacted by a party of eight who were extremely loud and obnoxious. The server indicated that efforts had been made to calm them down, but obviously it did not work.
A party was seated immediately next to my table and social distancing appeared to be ignored. A lady sat approximately two feet away from me. People sat at adjoining tables.
The food was a considerable disappointment. I had the turtle soup as an appetizer. I've had turtle soup at other restaurants and know what to expect from it. It was easily the worst turtle soup I've ever eaten. It tasted like a poorly prepared chili. Although I do not eat canned chili, I would imagine it must be similar in taste.
My main course was the ricotta gnocchi with lobster. I've had this in the past at the restaurant and wanted to order it again as I had enjoyed it previously. I was again disappointed. The gnocchi had grown to enormous proportions since I last had the dish. Before, there were delicate gnocchi with a subtle hint of vanilla and tarragon. The large size of the gnocchi eliminated the delicacy I had before and it was overwhelmingly infused with vanilla, to the detriment of the dish. I detected no lobster roe, and the lobster claw meat was overcooked.
After the failure of the appetizer and entree, I declined to order a dessert.
Issac and Daniel were absolutely amazing and knowledgeable about the menu! Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Food was wonderful. The waiters were attentive however very loud when speaking and very rushed, almost aggressive.
This is our second time to Revolution.
Delicious meal and great service. Everything was wonderful!
Outstanding food & service! The wine menu was extensive & impressive! LOVED! It was my second visit and came with my two friends to celebrate our birthdays
We loved our experience at Restaurant R'evolution. Travis & Nicholas were fabulous waitstaff members, providing perfect service. I had the saison salad which was beautifully presented and delicious, with just a hint of fennel, giving it a unique flavor, far superior to the typical salad. The blue crab beignets are a new favorite. My husband had perfectly seared scallops with foie gras, which he loved. I had the wagyu short ribs with lobster, which was rich in flavor and melt in your mouth fabulous! I expected a bit more lobster than the literal two bites presented, but it was tender and sweet. The atmosphere is lovely and the furnishings comfortable. They do not use table cloths in the section where we were seated, which we missed, but the food and service more than make up for it. My only criticism - it was FREEZING cold ! My toes and fingers were numb by the time we left.
It was pretty good, but overpriced, there are so many great restaurants in New Orleans that I think are much better, so pick what you know is best.
Wonderful food. Creative. Delicious. Awesome service. Great night.
Excellent food and service! Jacket is recommended for guys, nice dress for ladies.
The food was yummy. The bone marrow was outstanding; the boudin balls were very good as was the quail gumbo. We shared all these appetizers. The wagyu short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth delicious which was my main course and the other two main meals (soft-shell crab and wild boar bolognese) were very good. Incredible win list and good cocktails. Overall a very good experience and worth a visit. The reason I gave it a 4 for ambience is because the restaurant was very cold and I wished I had a blanket!!
Oysters were big and plump but slightly undercooked for chargrilled. Crab beignets were the highlight of the meal. Crab stuffing in a fried batter reminiscent of a corn dog (in a good way). Seafood gumbo we split was tasty not too spicy. Steak was cooked correctly but my husband’s ribeye was under seasoned. My filet was good. Creole mashed potatoes and greens both worthy of ordering, but I didn’t care for the dirty wild rice. We were seated in the porch room when we were both dressed for the parlor, which was highly disappointing. I felt like unwanted family at a reunion eating on the porch (there were literally benches that looked like settees, not something you envision on a date when you’re wearing a sequined dress with pearls.) with the kids (yes, there were kids at other tables & men in jeans & T-shirts). Perhaps not as upscale a place as they hyped. Staff was attentive tho. We’ll skip this place next NOLA visit.
