We haven’t been here in awhile and it was our Anniversary so we went. We ordered the Tomahawk Ribeye for two and the meat had a lot of fat and grizzle on it. Prob almost half the steak was fat and grizzle. They got rid of the grits we liked so much. Their sides need attention. We ordered the cream cheese potatoes and those were good. Also ordered fries and were expecting something similar to truffle fries and the fries were frozen French fries from a bag. Just not good quality in my opinion. I don’t know what’s going on over there. I don’t know when or if we will be back.
I was in town for business and selected this restaurant based on Zagat reviews. I made a reservation on OpenTable easily as it was a Tuesday night.
It said only counter seating was available, which I assumed meant the bar. I inquired when I arrived and in actuality, it was at the chef’s table, facing the show kitchen, on a table created from a 300 year old piece of oak pulled from the lake. Simon got me started with their wine list; it is so extensive that it is on an IPad. I wasn’t super hungry but wanted to taste some of their more popular offerings. My amuse bouche was a grapefruit shooter with lime, ginger and a cayenne pepper sugared rim, it was sensational. I had the crispy oyster salad, it was amazing. Crispy Bibb lettuce, tear drop tomatoes, bacon cooked to perfection and succulent fried oysters, plated in a deconstructed fashion so you can pull in ingredients as you wish. I substituted ranch for blue cheese. I then had the seafood gumbo, it was beautifully presented, poured from a pitcher into the bowl of rice and seafood and it was absolutely delicious. I had the creme brûlée bread pudding (I skipped the blueberries and almonds) and it was divine, light, fluffy and delicate with a crunchy creme brûlée crust on top.
Watching the chefs operate was like having a seat in the first row of the ballet, it was a well orchestrated dance. They were engaging and friendly and as a woman dining alone, I am grateful to Teddy, Chavez and Donny for a delightful night. I also had a personal tour of the main kitchen and wine cellar by Jonny and that was the perfect ending to a wonderful fine dining experience.
The service was impeccable!! The food was OUTSTANDING!!
Fantastic service, fantastic staff, fantastic food. Can’t go wrong with the crab beignets, and the rib eye.
The food is the best in the business and the menu expansive enough to cover anyone. Service impeccable as always. This is where I bring people to show off our City.
Atmosphere, food and service were way above average. This will definitely be a go to place for me when visiting NOLA. The jazz brunch offer nice selections and the jazz trio was soothing.
Father daughter diner
This experience left me in awe. Anybody looking for true fine dining, this place will always be my recommendation.
The wait staff were amazing.
Rory was phenomenal. Well verses and extremely accommodating. Service was top notch.
Outstanding food and service. Will go again if and when we’re back in New Orleans. 100% would recommend to anyone.
Be prepared to pay for the impeccable service and incredible food.
Great Food, Great Workers. Loved The Experience !
We ordered the red-fish and the scallops as our entrees. Both were very good but very rich. The scallops tasted like fine butter and the red-fish was seasoned perfectly. I wouldn't recommend ordering more than two sides to share to compliment the main courses. The sides were ordered were potatoes au gratin (potatoes with cheese) and the brussel sprouts. I really liked the layered take on the potatoes au gratin. The brussel sprouts reminded me of my grandma's green beans (stewed flavor) - which I really love. We didn't order dessert because we were so full. The interior was beautiful and you have a nice view of the French Quarter. The service was like any other fine dinning experience, not much to expand on. I don't think people would go back exclusively for the service.
Service from the Team was terrific. Food above expectation. Price not as I was prepared for as it was reasonable for the venue.
I highly recommend as this is a great restaurant.
I had to wait for a table even though I had reservations. My waiter's were AMAZING!!! I would definitely be visiting again.
Restaurant Revolution was delicious! We loved everything. The food, atmosphere and the staff were amazing! Definitely, will go back and cannot believe we waited so long to try! It you are visiting from out of town or local you must try!! Great for foodies!!!❤️
My business partner and I wanted to celebrate 15 years since we started our firm. This was the perfect place to do so. We started with glasses of Nicholas Feuillate champagne, which were delicious, along with appetizers of roasted oysters and beet salad. The oysters were fantastic: still juicy and with a delicate but flavorful breadcrumb topping spiced up with a little sausage. The beets were sweet and accompanied by a very tasty green that we later learned was the beet greens. For dinner, I had the gnocchi with lobster in vanilla and tarragon sauce, which was sublime. The gnocchi were actually gnudi made of sheeps' milk cheese - sweet and light little puffs, and the sauce was flavorful and subtle. We also had the grouper in a fish broth that was deep and rich. I thought the sauce was a little oily and I didn't care for the black beans underneath, though my partner liked them. I had a glass of Rully with the dinner and it was also excellent. My partner enjoyed her glass of pinot grigio. Our dark chocolate dessert was also delicious, as was the strawberry sorbet that accompanied it. The vanilla ice cream was tasty but not the best I've every had. I did not find the prices overwhelming (though we avoided the caviar tower for $100+) and the service was attentive, with the various wait staff covering for each other when our assigned waiter was unavailable. All in all, an excellent experience and I will return next time I'm in NOLA.
The atmosphere at Restaurant R'evolution was casual elegance. It was a great place to take our daughter out for her 21st birthday. The wait staff was extremely knowledgable of all offerings food and beverage. They made great recommendations with which we were all very satisfied. Since the restaurant is in the French Quarter, Valet parking was the cherry on top!
Change the Chef and it will be a great restaurant . Over priced food that wasn't even delicious.
There are many excellent restaurants in NOLA so we asked our concierge for a recommendation to find a place with panache. They recommended Restaurant Revolution. The service was excellent. You are waited upon by a team of excellent servers. The food was excellent as well. The beet salad is excellent. If you like oysters try their Revolution raw oysters. They top an oyster with shaved frozen bloody Mary juice. As the shave ice starts to melt it releases the flavor of the Bloody Mary. Then chew the oyster to combine the flavors. Outstanding.
Great service. Great food.
My favorite restaurant in New Orleans.
Service is really good but I have to mention a slight disappointment with our drink order---having to ask several times for a Coke and Diet Coke was a little annoying especially since there is a 3 person team waiting on you. The food was top notch and the rest of the evening's service was spot on as expected.
My only other comment was around dessert--I ordered the Blackberry-Buttermilk Sorbet which was fantastic but for 9$ could I at least get 2 of the tiny "4 bite" scoops or possibly a slightly larger one---otherwise their dessert selections are terrific.
We have been going to Restaurant R'evolution every year since they opened to celebrate our Anniversary. Food is always delicious. Truly an awesome experience! We look forward to going there every year. The service is outstanding. Everyone is so nice & very attentive to your questions. It is a little pricey but it's once a year for something special!
The food was great, the service amazing. We went to celebrate our anniversary and were treated very well with some special surprises. About 30 min into our dinning experience, a loud and a bit vulgar group was seated directly by us that made it a little harder to enjoy the experience. However, we will return if in the area again. THANKS
This is my favorite restaurant. What more can I say.
It was better than anything we expected. Food and service was excellent! We took our 90 yr old mother as a special treat, and it was!
Excellent on all counts !
Absolutely amazing!! The service was impeccable and the food was just outstanding!!!
Food, Staff and the ambiance amazing!!!
Service was outstanding, and the food fine dining without pretension. Sommelier didn’t so much as blink when I asked for the red wine to be decanted. Despite keeping the wine at the service station rather than the table, my glass was never empty—I’ve had pricier places not do as well. All of the food was perfectly cooked, even the huge tomahawk steak.
Without any suggestion of pretense, every dish is unique in presentation, preparation, and taste. The overall dining experience here compares favorably with all of San Francisco's Michelin 3-stars, at one-third of the price. Exceptional also when compared to Gautreau's, August, PFins, and certainly far superior to Bayona and the lowest ranked of our dining week - Commander's Palace, which is no longer qualified for comparison.
The service and food were outstanding. Extensive wine list, incredible food selection, and amazing service!
Food was not bad but it seemed like they were in a hurry to get us out of there. Dinner was 45 min with drink, appetizer, bread, entree and coffee. I really thought they already knew what we wanted. Very cold and quick service.
Tried many seafood items and everything was excellent.
Loved it. Food is always wonderful. Beet salad a little lax, Foie Gras always wonderful, as was the scallops, sweet breads, beef tartare. you can't go wrong with the Russian Staircase. love it. The service was ok, felt it was a little slow on the clearing and crumbing, this place should have that down . I should say things were taken care of in the end which is what one should expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Will be back
Our waiter was awesome! It was because of him that we had such a great time. Glad he told us what sweet bread was but it was a little too late. We still loved the dinner.
The restaurant was one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the pleasure of dinning in. The Bar area was very classic , with dark wood and a great variety of antiques. Plus a excellent selection of top shelf sprits.
The wait staff in the dinning room were very good and the food was very good , especially the Bloody Mary oysters on the half shell. They are a must order if you like raw oysters!
Everything was amazing. We will definitely be back.
