   They did not honor a reservation that I booked online and reconfirmed by phone. Having called them to say we'd arrive at 9pm instead of 8.30pm, I was told it would be fine. When we arrived at 9pm we were told the restaurant stopped serving. Even though I'd talked to them an hour ago to make these arrangements. The hostess just shrugged, the barman was apologetic but more concerned about what this says about their establishment, and we went out into the cold night hungry and lost. Found delicious food and warm/efficient service at Tsunami instead.

   The food was good but not great. The wait staff was very inexperienced and made many mistakes during the meal. The wait staff really needs some training. For the amount of money I spent I expected much more than what was delivered. I probably won't go back.

   Though this was not our finest experience at IPO, one can rather understand why. They were simply overwhelmed by the combination of Valentine's Day, a very raucous Mardi Gras Parade with its aftermath and a Symphony gala that night. They were simply overwhelmed & probably a bit understaffed. Only big aggravation was that they denied us a dessert because we opted to dine on their small plates and not from their set menu. One would have thought that they should have had enough for diners eating on either menu.... All this being said, we'll be back again, I'm sure.

   Overall experience was wonderful and I would definitely recommend it. Food was outstanding and service was good.

   Same great service, this time it was Jessica instead of Matthew, and had one different tapa from first time, and it was also very good. Definitely a place I'd go back to and try different selections from the menu. Noise level was high at times when there were large groups gathered in the open bar area, but still like the overall aspics of the establishment.

   We always get Tapas / Small plates and share.. always plenty of fresh options. The Bread Pudding is very food.

   Loved the menu selection and food. Filets were perfectly cooked. Table setup dining for two reminds me of dining at an airport, understandable because of the space limitations but prefer more space. Our first time dining experience at IPO was crowded due to Mardi Gras ball participants, thus it was loud and service was spotty and rushed. However, we will be back for a next time hopefully under normal dining conditions to get a true feel for the place.

   We dined at Reataurant IPO for Restaurant Week in Baton Rouge. We had never dined there and thought this would be a good opportunity. One of the reasons that we chose Restaurant IPO was the Restaurant Week menu. Appetizers were great: 3 of our group had the fried green tomatoes and loved them. I had the chicken fried brussel sprouts salad. It was very good. For dinner 3 of our group ordered the Beef Wellington. This is the menu item that caught our eye and brought us to Restaurant IPO. You never see this offered on menus in Baton Rouge, much to my disappointment. The Beef Wellington was very good. The puff pastry was not as crisp as maybe it should have been, but was good none the less. My husband ordered the crab cakes as his entre. Although he said that it was good, the portion size was entirely too small. Two of our group had the fried white chocolate sweet potato bread pudding. It was very good. Two of our group had the chocolate dessert. It was OK. Only other thing to note was that when we gave our server our drink orders, two of the red wines we ordered were out. Our server said that it had been a busy week with Restaurant Week. I can understand that, but shouldn't it be anticipated? My second choice wine was not very good and was served in a small wine glass. For my second glass of wine I went with the wine that one of our group was having and it was much better and came in an appropriate size red wine glass.

    Very impressed with IPO . The decor , atmosphere , food, staff , and overall experience was outstanding . I'll definitely return and highly recommend IPO to anyone .
