August is a Contemporary Creole restaurant creating unique dishes with a focus on Louisiana ingredients and inspired by classical training. Located in a historic 19th century French-Creole building in New Orleans’ Central Business District, the main dining room caters to the most unique dining experience. The interior is rich with original architectural details, gleaming hardwood floors, soaring columns, mahogany paneling and antique mirrors.

From the OpenTable editors: August remains the flagship restaurant within the BRG Hospitality group, and it’s a grande dame dining room of New Orleans. The building rose tall in the 1830s, and the elegant space features mahogany panels and antique mirrors. The modern Creole menu offers a chef’s tasting in seven courses, from red snapper crudo to lavender panna cotta. The team also has a reputation for impeccable service, earning a couple of James Beard nominations in the past decade.

    Restaurant August invites you to join us this Bastille Day for a six course culinary journey. From the bounties of the Riviera, to the markets of Provence and the bouchons of Lyon, celebrate the rich culture and cuisine of France with us. Our Bastille Day menu is $120, with optional sommelier’s wine pairings available for an additional $60 or reserve wine pairings for an additional $120. Please note that we will be serving this menu exclusively on Bastille day; our standard a la carte menu and Chef's Tasting Menu will not be available. Dietary restrictions and allergies will be accommodated, provided they are communicated in advance.

This menu is $185 per person excluding tax and gratuity. Enhance your meal with a thoughtful and intentional wine pairing with six courses, +$110 per person or reserve wine pairings, + $175 per person.

    Excellent food and a beautiful restaurant. The head waiter was way too full of himself. He completely forgot one of our appetizers. My wife and I felt like we were almost not worthy to be waited on. On the other hand, the support staff and sommelier were very hospitable and provided excellent service. The food was fantastic but we might not be going back if we have to deal with snooty head waiter.

    Amazing experience from the time you walk through the door. The service is top notch, wine list is outstanding and the food presentation and flavor is amazing. Definitely one of the best restaurants in North America!

    One of the best dining experiences my boyfriend and I have ever had. From the moment we sat down the staff was kind and attentive. The food presentation was exquisite and the combination of flavors was mind blowing. We were celebrating my birthday and every person that came to our table acknowledged the occasion and made it a very special evening. Thank you to Jordan, Annabelle and the entire BOH for an unforgettable night!
