Everything was excellent. Thank you
Really nice menu and plates are beautifully prepared. Staff is awesome and the food is great!
Food was great, bar selections were good, server was newer, and dining are was loud. However, it was a nice evening with good food.
My omelet left much to be desired, but the Benedicts that others selected were uniformly praised.
Like so many others, we enjoyed the white fish pate (with lox !), lobster bisque, beet salad and the seafood pot pie...but our the haddock was awful, overcooked--and overall it was a veryheavy combination to avoid--even be warned about.
Maybe because a quiet Wednesday night, late in the season, but man, the main courses were painfully slow--we appreciated the free glass of wine and even a 10% discount on the total bill but still hesitate to give this restaurant more stars considering the price. Wine advice was also a little off...so be careful,
Our server, Georgia, was a delight from her greeting to her goodbyes. Liked the variety of breakfast choices. While we were quite satisfied with our omelette choices, the table behind us raved about their eggs Benedict. The fruit cup was fresh and delicious but would recommend asking to leave off the whipped cream. Didn’t need it.
Our reservation was for 8:15. Their were two ither tables of two in our section. We received our meals at 10:30. No apology or offers for compensation. We finally asked for bread to help absorb the drinks we ordered.
This is a truly a dining find
Traverse City is a top 10 gourmand City according to several prominent periodicals and it it true
There was but one sour note... and how they handled it
A waitress, perhaps but in her late30’s and should have know better, brought a late harvest Reisling to our table... room temp... I Didn’t notice until she poured... ouch, and had to catch her eye to send it back
She tried to “solve the problem” by being out a Chiller to the table... laughable of course. As it was NOt going to get it down to 44-48 degrees
I sent it back, but I then recollected that they served the same wine by the glass, so suggested that it could be exchange out... as it was a bottle orobabybopen and chilled I the back
She didn’t get the hint... it said that she would buy us a desert personally
Rest of the meal was really quite excellent.. there was to many was to doze this issue and I do not think anybody on the staff helped her
The lobster bisque was wonderful. The entire experience was fantastic. It is a little pricey but worth it.
Really excellent service from Jules. She was kind and attentive w/o being intrusive. Food was good; we ordered the cheese and charcuterie board which was generous and well presented. We ordered a variety of mains including a burger, pasta. And a melt. All met expectations but not out of this world. Drinks were generously poured and we were grateful .
Our waiter Nathan was extremely personable and genuinely cared about our experience tonight.
Fabulous meal. Every dish was superb, and the service was excellent.
My husband and I dined here during a quick trip to Traverse City. We had plans later in the evening so we went early and enjoyed their Happy Hour menu. There are some great beers and cocktails on the list and delicious sliders, dips, fish fingers etc... I did take a look at their regular menu and it looked amazing as well. Our waiter was so attentive and very helpful with information about the area. We will definitely return here on our next trip!
Good quiet place. Excellent value. Very good cuisine
A surprisingly good restaurant in a hotel. We liked have a salad choice for breakfast. And the extra scoop of fruit was a nice touch.
Moderate sized place in a hotel on the main drag. We were seated promptly. Service was excellent. Food was quite good. Halibut was excellent. Seafood trio (whitefish, walleye and smelt) was quite good although this will be my one and only experience with smelt. Would return if in Traverse City again.
The restaurant was recommended to us when we were in Traverse City on vacation. The bad part of the experience was that they rushed the meal, as many restaurants do. They brought our entrees just a few minutes after the salads, and we sent them back. That's always a mistake, because mine was not even warm when they brought it back. So, they prepared a new entree fore me, which took about 15 minutes, while my husband finished his. They gave us a discount on the entree, and a dessert, but why do they rush the meal, especially in a nice restaurant.
Some restaurant chains are notorious for rushing, so I tell them when we order, to not bring the courses together.
We were on our honeymoon. Perfect dinner.
We had the seafood trio. Although the fried fish was fresh, I didn't find it much different from what I would've gotten elsewhere for much less cost. The batter was heavy. The strip steak, though done perfectly to a medium was very tough.
Went to brunch for Fathers Day and all six of us were very satisfied. Great food, creative options, awesome service and all staff were super friendly.
Food was hot and replenished often. Wonderful
Brunch for Father’s Day was very nice. The food was delicious and a very nice variety.
To be honest I was pretty disappointed. All the prior reviews were pretty good and this place is supposed to be I believe at least top 5 restaurants in T.C. A friend and I came in for dinner., we sat out on the patio as it was a nice day. Also the interior was pretty much vacant. She had a soda, I had a Blue Moon I believe. we ordered the Calamari for an app and both decided on the Great Lakes Trio for our meal. App came out looked Great Tasted Great. That is when the table issue kind of got annoying as hell. Most of the tables outside are uneven so they tilt back n forth and the waitress try's to fix it with napkins which last 3 mins and its done again. dealt with that issue the whole time. Main course came out and to be honest I thought it was like average at best, not to mention we both had the same meal... yet it really was not all that hot. The server was great attentive and did a good job, no issues there and she was tipped accordingly think the bill was $75.00 and gave her a $25 tip. the service was worth it but not so sure about the rest of it......
The food and service were wonderful. Regarding the noise level... there were only about 10-15 people in the dining area and it was so noisy. The noise from the refrigeration unit was unable to tune out. Maybe they should consider some sort of sound reduction decor?? This dining area is too noisy to have business conversations. In the future if I were to host another client meeting I will ask to be seated away from the area of the dining room. B
Excellent mother's day buffet! A very nice atmosphere to celebrate mother's day. Thank you.
Really nice dining, all things considered... Mainly the setting. This would be twice the restaurant if it weren't in a hotel lobby, but it is. View is of the adjoining property, after walking past the reception.
For Traverse City, the fare is quite reasonable. I'd say this is 20% less expensive than a comparable meal in town.
Annoying to me was I had a reservation and they tried to seat me in the bar. So, not the bar, would be a good request.
On the whole, I'm happy. This was a mother's day brunch. Everyone was very cordial and accommodating. I think the brunch was very reasonably priced and I'm glad we came here. The provisos listed above are for reference, so you don't end up with a bad experience on a day when you need a slightly better setting, etc.
Atmosphere was pleasant and service was superb, even though there were very busy. Was quite disappointed in the food, though, as this was rated the #1 restaurant in Traverse City and my perch was fine, but nothing special, and my husband's pork chop was really under seasoned and flavorless. The rice and roasted vegetables were also not noteworthy. Nothing bad, but for the price, nothing to recommend either.
Server we had was super! we came back with some family/friends, but this time a bit of a disappointment. food was a bit cold and took quite a bit of time to come out and the veggies were bit over done. happy hour specials are not what they have been in the past. that being said, overall, good food and bartender made good drinks.
Great food for reasonable prices with top notch service and eclectic menu.
Very upscale dining in a comfortable setting. Service was great. Food was great.
Service was poor, meal was expensive as expected but not worth it. When we arrived most of the items on the menu they were out of. Would not recommend. I had a better steak at Denny’s the day after.
This was our first time visiting Cambria Suites! Recommended for the last year by friends, we decided to give it a try. We found the atmosphere much better than expected, the food was great, service was excellent, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends. We will be seeing you again!
Terrible service and not the best food - much better choices available in the city.
did a look on trip advisor and found this place to be great as the other reviews have said. a must go time is the happy hour, 4-7p everday!the apps were super and half off! and if you like oysters great place to start! the cocktails were well made. and the batender and wait staff friendly! the good food we ordered was very tasty and no rush on your meal! take the time to go!
My husbands mushroom soup was excellent. That’s it. I had the filet and scallops. Steak did not melt in your mouth. Scallops were the size of quarters. Very unforgettable. My husbands had fiket and crab cakes. He rated them the same as I rated my meal. Our Caesar salad had horseradish in it. Very unusual and did not add. Highly recommended to us. We would not recommend esp for the price point. Our waitress was very good.
Hostess and waitress, Diahna were great! The chef come out and to see how we enjoyed the meal and everyone was very attentive!
First time and won't be the last. Lovely, quiet spot to visit and dine well.
The food and service was great, definitely a hidden gem in Traverse City.
Excellent food and presentation of meal. Calamari appetizer was very creative spin on traditional calamari - highly recommend! Server was not very attentive.
