The food was good but not top notch.
Love, love, love this place--been here many times and it does not disappoint!
Halibut is phenomenal, carnitas empanadas - don't miss!
Fajitas to die for - all very fresh & authentic.
Can't wait to return again!
Wanted a night out away from kids. Seemed like all the moms finished with shopping had their kids with them at this place. I have three kids just didn’t want to dine at a nice restaurant with them all over place. Javiers across the street should have been our choice!
This was our second time here. Both times, we have had great experiences. The food and service were definitely 5 star.
It’s got a great vibe. It’s fun and just a cool place to eat.
Ambiance was very nice, and remember thinking this would be a great place to bring a date or guests. Margarita was good as expected. The hamachi was not flavorful. Most dishes were not warmed up enough which made me think the dishes were made far in advanced and left under a warmer. Had the sweet corn tamales and the duck tacquitoes (spelling?) which were both on the dry side. Service was excellent. I mentioned to our server as constructive feedback regarding the temperature of dishes when we were leaving. The manager was very nice and surprised us with 15% off our ticket.
Maybe it was an off day.
the atmosphere was impressive. the servise was like as in any SD food place. we were disappointed by the food.
Let's face it, we've got some great Mexican restaurants in the San Diego area. While Red O has fantastic food, it's also very expensive compared to other similar options. I guess that's why there was plenty of empty tables at 7:30 on a Saturday night.
My wife and I had a wonderful time at Red O. It had a wonderful vibrant atmosphere and the food was delicious. But most importantly the service was amazing. We forgot our waiter's name but he was very nice and helpful.
Nice table, great food, loved it, thanks!
We tried the goat cheese tamales which was really good - next time I would order without the Cotijo cheese on top since it is so overpowering. My friend tried the lobster poblano chile rellano and I tried the carnitas plate - both really good. Prices are in line with La Jolla dining. Will definitely come back.
Red O is a nice restaurant, but personally I prefer smaller places with a unique feel and ambiance. The food was good but was not blown away by it.
Our food was delicious and the service was outstanding! We had such a nice experience. I highly recommend !
Food was decent. Our busser appeared to be high as a kite but was attentive. Waiter was good, and food was decent with the exception of the tacos that were smaller than a taquito.
Our server was fantastic and the food was delicious. We'll be back. Get the seafood chile relleno!
Very nice and friendly eatery. We came in on a Sunday early afternoon for a quick bite. SDSU basketball was on and has asked bar tender if could put on our screen. Thank you and will be back again.
Went here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Delicious food but slow service.
The 2 hostess in the front will not greet you when you walk in. They try an avoid talking to guests as they walk in so you feel incredibly unwelcome.
