Red Lobster - Garden Grove
My friend and I made the half hour plus drive to Red Lobster, having seen numerous enticing ads on TV. What a treat! We each had filet mignon and lobster tail dinners and immediately agreed it was well worth the drive. The salad was great, the steak and lobster cooked to perfection. I had asparagus as my side and it was delicious. The price for the great meal was very reasonable. The server was personable and charming and extremely accommodating. The staff in general couldn't have been more pleasant. I highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely be back. Despite the drive!
I was here with my husband and 17 year old son, who was excited to pay for dinner with his first paycheck. I didn't complain and that's my fault but so much went wrong and I couldn't take any joy from my son. His face was ear to ear smiles when asking me how good everything was. My main lobster was literally raw. The tail was split and it was sitting in the shell. Only the top was cooked, everything in the shell was gray goo. My husband saw the look on my face and texted me to say something. My spiny lobster was extremely overcooked or just dried out. It smelled so bad, I only ate one bite. My drink, I got the new rum candy drink and if I didn't know better, I'd say the bartender forgot the alcohol. It tasted like a watered down tropical koolaid. Again, my husband said I should say something. The bill was $189. Which is pretty expensive for 3 people but not for steak, lobster and drinks, if they were cooked and mixed correctly. I let my son pay 120 and I covered the rest and tip. I can't imagine going back when I feel like no effort went into our food.
The food I would have to say was average. I felt our waiter was a little too chatty, I suppose, trying to up the tip I would guess. The interior seemed somewhat worn. The prices I felt, were commensurate with the ambiance.
Service and food were amazing. Unfortunately, due to some confusion, they initially marked us as a no-show, but they resolved it quickly once we mentioned it.
Been here a few times only because my boyfriend loves this place. In fact it’s one of his favorite places. Me on the other hand I really wouldn’t notice if we didn’t come here again BUT tonight was different. Tonight I really liked my dinner, I got the all you can eat grilled shrimp w rice, salad and broccoli and everything was delicious. I’m thinking I have changed my tune in coming back after all. Everything was A+
Another fine evening at Red Lobster. The service is always friendly. We started with the coconut shrimp appetizer. I had the house salad with a tasty Italian dressing. My entree was the fresh-catch grilled salmon with rice and broccoli. Everything was delicious.
Another fine dinner at Red Lobster. We took advantage of the Lobsterfest; I had the lobster and shrimp (two kinds). I also used my Red Lobster birthday reward for the lobster and shrimp pizza for an appetizer. Our server was friendly and well informed about the many menu items.
Was blown away by how good the food was and the service was beyond a lot of the top restaurants I go to in LA /SF/ NY. Well done
The food was great and our server was terrific.
