What Insiders Are Saying
One of the best options for both Indian and a fine dining experience in the city.
The food was absolutely delicious, and considering it is a top 100 restaurant by the Washingtonian very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the Phalak Shat and Chicken Tiki Masala.
Our food was wonderful, the wine was great, the service was perfect. We love it here, although it is tough to get a reservation on shorter notice!
Our go to place before the theater. Actually our go to place whenever we get a chance. Food doesn't get any better than this menu!
great food.. great ambience..
Rasika offers wide selection of indian food.. and some of items you can only find there .. even they have excellent job with indian desserts.. highly recommend checking it out when in DC
Outstanding India Fusion restaurant. The menu is outside of the box with traditional Indian cuisine. The spinach appetizer was 5-1/2 stars out of 5 and our server was outstanding as well. Suggest patrons ask and confidently follow their recommendation. The wine list is 5 star and the ambiance and service is top drawer .
Fantastic meal! Everything tastes good, including the cocktails.
One if the best Indian restaurants since my travels to London!
We have been to Rasika many times and it never fails to be a wonderful experience. The food is outstanding! The Chicken Green Masala was a new dish for me but it was very nicely seasoned with just a hint of heat that builds up as you eat the dish.
Thanks Rasika for another great meal!
Excellent food, excellent service. Rasika very seldom disappoints. The menu changes often enough we always feel like it is a restaurant we are visiting for the first time.
Impeccable service. Friendly and welcoming. Amazing food!
Everyone was so helpful. I went for a solo lunch and This was my first time. Gustavo made some great recommendations. The palak chaat is a revelation. I enjoyed every bite. I will definitely be back.
Second time booking through this app in this restaurant. Once i got delayed for 45 mins and today i went again with my guests and was told the kitchen closes 2:30 (the time of my actual booking). Not acceptable, not polite, embarrassing.
Not sure i would take anyone given this bad history.
Waiter was excellent! Very professional, knowledgeable, and amazing customer service!
I have never been impressed by some restaurants in DC.. But, Rasika was one of the most delicious Indian restaurant. Especially, I recommend spinatch salad and shrimp curry.
I want to go to rasika many times, but it's not cheap..
Easily THE BEST FOOD we've had in the DC area...or the country for that matter!
The food and service were AMAZING. Must order the Palaak Chat, Black Cod and Lobster with egg white will change your life!
One of my favorite restaurants in DC. Service is attentive and food is delicious.
The service was top notch and all the recommended dishes were mouth watering!
We enjoyed an amazing meal, with wide variety of tastes, excellent service, and left with a feeling of being fully satisfied.
We loved the food. It was delicious. Our server made wonderful recommendations. The staff took great care of us throughout the evening.
Incredible! Every time we come it’s better than the last! Can’t wait to return!
Excellent on all measures.
Food was good but Need more vegetarian choices on menu
The food at Rasika was phenomenal and the service even more so. They were running behind and we had to wait a little bit for our reservation, but the team was nice enough to give us two complimentary appetizers. The Palak Chaat was amazing and the lamb roti was great as well. I took my parents who don't really like Indian Food and they thought their dinner was great.
Restaurant staff was extremely welcoming and understanding as part of our party was late due to traffic. Our server was very attentive, offered great menu suggestions which we listened too. Everything was delicious!
Wonderful evening. It was our anniversary and they really made it special. Thank you Rasiak!
I liked the overall dining experience, and our waiter gave us outstanding service. My only issue would be that we sat at a table that was situated next to one of your columns. I think it was annoying especially being right handed; the column was on the right side, so mobility was tight. We ended up moving the table to have more room without disturbing the next table. Something like that should have been thought of in advance before we were seated; you definitely could make improvements on how and where to seat people.
Awful! Worst Indian food I’ve had sans for the palak appetizer and paneer masala. We were so excited to dine here after having heard and read the reviews. Made reservations before we arrived in town. What a disappointment. The mix grill for $22 container two measly pieces of chicken (undercooked), a few pieces of fish (overly salty), and one seekh kabob (yes one) that was not so good. The appetizers were brought out within minutes which makes you wonder about how freshly prepared they were. Our entrees took forever. After a while, the waiter (who insisted on calling me senor), came by and apologized - some nonsense about their computer system losing our ticket. More like he forgot to put it in. He should have offered us some desert or something on the house. One of the main entries- the green chicken curry - was so salty that both my wife and I had to down multiples bottles of water. We could have sworn it was loaded with msg. I asked the manager and he sheepishly said they don’t “add” MSG. Again no apologies or any effort to make things right. Miserable experience and overrated. Stay away. Besides, what Indian restaurant doesn’t serve classic Indian beer such as Taj Mahal or Kingfisher.
Very consistent food quality, and exemplary service! We've been here a few times and the food and service never disappoint.
The best indian food I’ve ever had and some of the best food I’ve had period. Our server helped us make choices and he was spot on. The spinach appetizer was one of the best and most unusual I,ve had.
The food was amazing. We got the crispy spinach and crab appetizer. They were delicious. For an entree the server recommended the green chili chicken since we love spice. It had an amazing spicy level. We also got some lamb curry that was great. Everything was spectacular—the food, cocktails, service. Definitely with the hype!
We have dined in 5 star establishments all around the world. In terms of taste, this was one of the best meals we have ever had. Each of the 6 courses on the tasting menu were pure perfection! The ambiance was lovely for celebrating our 18th Anniversary and our server, Bhaskar was so wonderful. This was a magical evening that we will always treasure!
The four of us ordered the multi-course Tasting Menu and it was fabulous, especially the black cod appetizer. Lots of food and dessert. Service was wonderful and noise level ok given vibrant bar behind the restaurant table seating.
Amazing food and service!! Our waiter Bhaskar was great! Suggested the perfect dishes and was on point with precise and friendly service!
Food was amazing! Would highly recommend the mango shrimp and crab masala appetizers and the chicken tikka masala entree. Also the chili naan was delicious as well. Worth the wait for the reservation, great staff, great mood.
A friend and I decided to visit Rasika after hearing my co-workers rave about the place. We arrived 10 minutes before they opened. There were already a number of people waiting outside. One of the managers was kind enough to open the doors and allow us to wait inside, noting how hot it was. My friend and I were seated at a two-top next to the curtain that separated us from the cash register, where I could hear the staff talking. We started with drinks and the palak chaat, their crispy spinach. The menu does not mention that there is cilantro in it, or I would not have ordered it. I am one of the weirdos on planet Earth with the anomaly in my DNA that makes cilantro taste like soap. Cilantro aside, the dish was wonderful. The textures and flavors were fantastic. We ordered another round of drinks and a lamb appetizer. I do not know what it was called, the waiter recommend it noting that it was supposed to have some sort of truffle flavor to it. It was two long rolls of very tender lamb meat with a green sauce and piece of lemon. We could taste no truffle. Now comes the reason for the three stars. It took the waiter 37 minutes to return to our table from the time we finished the lamb. We watched him and his shadow, a young man I assume was in training, dote on the three tables around us and not even look our way. An older gentleman who appeared to be a manager went to one of the tables and greeted the patrons as though they were close personal friends. He then went over to another table and thanked them for ordering the tasting menu. I felt like we were at the bottom of the caste system. When the waiter finally remembered that we were there, my friend ordered the chicken tikka masala, and I ordered the lobster malai. The chicken was absolutely perfect. The lobster was incredible. It came looking like a cloud on a plate. The meringue was done perfectly and when mixed into the sauce, gave it the texture of a cloud.
Terrific food several steps above other Indian restaurants. Never disappointed.
Our first time and loved it! Very knowledgeable waiter who helped us order some popular dishes - our kids who are 9 and 10 even loved it. Such a fun restaurant, great ambiance and good vibe. Will recommend to many
Flavors that explode in your mouth. A remarkable dining experience.
Phenomenal, per usual. Palak Chaat was perfect. Eggplant entree delicious.
