   Sparing level of service. Severely short staffed. Waiters and waitresses never at hand, and need to be ‘snatched’ when they walked past you. No one is there to look after the drinks; we ordered sparkling and still water, and finished the sparking quickly. We had to asked for another bottle because no one remembered to check if we needed more, until the manager himself came by. Double espresso served in a normal-sized coffee cup — what happened to espresso cups? I’m sure more attention to details could have been afforded.

   Great food and the restaurant is elegant and the service is friendly, although it took a long while to get a drink & food despite it’s not busy. Very good location too.

   Upon arrival, we were immediately welcomed by the friendly host and shown to our table. We were offered water (still, sparkling or tap); this took some time to arrive, but got there in the end. For starters, I had the gin-infused salmon tartare and my husband had the rabbit roulade; both were excellent. We shared the beef wellington for main course; this was nicely presented and cooked to perfection. All of this was washed down with a decent selection of wines by the glass. We shared a dessert; my husband's coffee arrived to go with it, but they forgot the glass of dessert wine I ordered. The surroundings were pleasant. The 'very good' rating is well-deserved; the two slight hiccups with the service bring them just short of 'outstanding'.

   Our party of 7 people really enjoyed our experience at Rails. The food is excellent and the choice is great. The ambience and decor is fabulous and provided us with a pleasant space to meet our friends. Most of the party were from London and used to fine dining. They were very impressed and we will return.

   An excellent location in a spacious restaurant. Good service, bright and light and thoroughly recommend. Food quality was good as was choice, certainly value for money.

    We went on Mother's day and had the sunday roast menu. The food was decent but not outstanding - the standard menu was much better when we last had it. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was a good selection. The seating is nice but kind of hard to get in and out of the booth. The venue is overall attractive and staff pleasant. Service was very slow and we struggled to get attention
