Just amazing. Every aspect. The food, the service, the thoughtfulness of the staff.
Extraordinary hospitality, incredible tasting menu! One of the finest culinary experience you will ever encounter!
I didnt mind the price. the food was delicious. The only thing I didn't like was how the entire staff tries very hard to make us know exactly why Quince is so great. The food speaks for itself. It is very good and I definitely can't find it elsewhere. However, I wanted to relax and also not wait too long. I felt antsy. And when staff members came to talk to us and talk about all these things... it made me tired. I love the food. I just dont always want to listen to so much information. The part where we went to the kitchen... it seemed very planned. The extra dishes... very nice, but I also think you guys do it for many customers. That's just fine... but you guys don't need all that. You are already good. I guess it is lacking humor and a more down to earth feel, but this is just me. Most people probably love all the talk.
It was an absolutely wonderful experience. My daughter felt extra special on her 16th birthday. Thank you
A stunning meal. Loved the whole experience, $$$$ is not for the faint of heart.
Be carefull of their supplementary menu.
Before Quince. We visited Benu which is same level ( 3 Michellin stars) Same set menu price no hidden cost during the whole course at all.
However in Quince my brother and I ( two people ) were asked for supplementary things during the whole course. We were asked for upgraded lamb to wagyu for additional $85. Salmon caviar into premuim for additional $85. Of course you can refuse them however waiter makes you feel like your original menu is not as good as upgrade one, and it was quite annoying too.
Food with no superise and plate presentation is below average. The worst thing is after this meal I felt too much gas in my stomach. I didn't realise this was caused by dinner until the next day when I chat with my brother he had exactly same situation last night. I will simply ignore this without calling them to complain because I know I won't give them a second chance.
I hope they can impove and retain thier reputation. To be honest I won't give a second visit maybe it suits someone else but not me.
Quince was our fourth Michelin 3-star experience in the Bay Area. While every single experience has been outstanding from all aspects, Quince resonated with us, perhaps a tad more than the others. This by no means is meant to be a knock against the others, but to make the point that the Quince outing was singular. For us, on that day, under the set of circumstances. Another way to state this would be while we would definitely do an encore on the other 3-star restaurants, we would like to start with Quince first. Thank you for everything.
It was one of the best fine dining restaurants I’ve ever been, the food and service quality was great.
We had the most amazing experience! Thank you to everyone who so perfectly and gracefully took care of us. We were even given the opportunity to eat one pasta course in the kitchen! I cannot put into words how special the entire staff made our evening.
We had an exceptional meal at Quince. Every dish was perfectly balanced. We especially liked the potatoes and oysters, and the lamb. Service was arguably the best I'd ever experienced: warm, well-paced and with exquisite attention to detail. Would love to come back!
The food and service was exquisite
Most amazing meal of my life. The service team was exceptional.
An amazing meal and service.
Quince definitely deserves it three Michelin stars. Every aspect of the meal is exquisite. You are surrounded by history and fine art in the dining room. The pacing of the courses in perfect; and the servers keep you entertained with educational comments about the restaurant and the cuisine.
Food was great, staff was helpful and nice, great food experience
We were celebrating a 50th birthday. As my husband stated, “Quince you had us at canapés then came the summer tomatoes, the caviar, the peas in pods of pasta, the lamb the wines! Superb!” A very unexpected visit to the kitchen for a course put our visit over the top! Thank you and well done!
Awesome time. Fantastic service and unique food. Wine pairing was excellent, but expensive.
Fantastic meal in every way.
Exceeded expectations. Service and food are on par with the best restaurants in the world. Great experience from beginning to end.
Truly an epic dining experience. Amazing!
When we finish the dinner, we have a cup of tea in paper cup which is complimentary . I feel it’s kind of wired. Usually in Michelin star restaurants, they will give a small box of treats to their clients, not a cup of tea in a blank paper cup.
Everything worked out in the end and was good! I really liked the meat and seafood, but wasn’t a huge fan of the vegetables. I also really liked the in house cocktail at the end of the meal.
Great restaurant with great service
Simply unbelievable. Thank you 100 times.
The food was excellent the service was friendly and efficient. Another patron was loud crude and made for a slight interruption in the dining experience After having been to Quince multiple times before that was a first. Most patrons enjoy but try not bother others
El precio es altísimo y no paga la comida,’es muy buena,
Pero un plato por ejemplo es solo 1 espárrago 🙄🙄🙄
La carne que fue cordero no eran ni 60 gramos
Beautiful and very special dining experience. Service was impeccable with nothing left to be desired. Food presentation was meaningful and well done with all of the courses providing a good variety of taste for what is currently in season. Thank you for our experience, it was a night to remember!
Another delightful meal from this beautiful and charming restaurant. The dinner comprises many courses, ranging from good to excellent to superb. I’ll discuss three in particular.
An extraordinary dish of white asparagus poached at table side in a transparent glass pot was crispy and delicate, just superb. It was accompanied by mushrooms stuffed with green garlic. This dish definitely epitomizes Quince: fun, memorable, beautiful presentation, great ingredients exquisitely prepared.
The dessert was easily the best I’ve had in years. Perfect, sweet strawberries with a very light, airy meringue and shortcake, with coriander cooled with liquid nitrogen to give a fresh but cool, crispy counterbalance. Apparently there is a new pastry chef and the pastries, this and some great mignardises, were really wonderful. The strawberries I’m told were from the restaurant’s private farm and were great.
I’d have thought it was too early for tomato salad but a salad with fresh cherry tomatoes and supercooled cucumber granita.
This is the kind of meal that I and my companion will probably talk about for months. Lots of very complex dishes with extremely fresh ingredients.
Service and ambience are top notch.
Very disappointed for 3 star restaurant. I went to Saison the same week and was much more impressed. Food was okay. Our main server was consistent but half of the other servers seem like they hated their job. I expected a more consistency coming from a 3 Michelin star restaurant. I rather spend my money at Saison.
Would not recommend or go back.
Went here with a few friends while visiting SF. Hands down one of the best experiences of my life. The food was phenomenal. Our waitress Laila and waiter Juan made the evening so personal. There was a bartender named Michael that is a true savant and created drinks that were just as interesting and tasty as the meal. Unlike other high end places, we were full at the end of the meal. There wasn’t a single moment that wasn’t exceptional. I’d give it a 4th star if I could. Thank you Quince!!!
This is my 5th visit to quince. Must say was very disappointing.
The menu was very monotone, and at the end not interesting.
The portions: microscopic, don’t recall ever leaving quince hungry, well we did! And my wife eats little and she left hungry. Guys took it too far.
We missed the bigger portions and more traditional pasta dishes. The lamb I was served was, one byte... the pasta was super small... but plenty of bread! Thanks God we had all that bread.
Yesterday serving was clearly giving an homage to greens , peas, etc however lacked contrast, something to break it up.
The desert tray, serving microscopic deserts, felt like when you get the business class United desert tray. Not trying to be funny, felt very similar.
And because the wine pairing was generous on top you get a big drunk too quickly. Not a great balance to have that much drinks and so little food.
The bread was great.
Service was 5 stars, and all of that was great.
Not worth going.
Quince was an extraordinary experience , in food service and ambience . Eating a course in the kitchen while the the chefs went about their work was a treat .
Just a complete satisfactory experience as always at Quince. Worthy to be a 3 michelin restaurant.
Amazing experience, food and service are excellent.
I highly recommend it!
World class on every level. This is an experience you’ll cherish.
This is the best restaurant in the US I have eaten at from every perspective. Quince is more than worthy of three stars from Michelin. Thank you Quince for making our 40th anniversary a memorable one.
I was disappointed in two things for a 3 star restaurant:
—my reservation was for 5:30 and since I was hosting I got there at 5:25 pm to be able to greet my guests. They told me that they were not open yet and to wait outside. I can understand that but a more graceful solution would be for them to ask me to wait inside their air conditioned room instead of in the 94 degree heat outside. Or, to ask people NOT to arrive before 5:30.
—the server asked my guest to my left if he wanted the Wine List. I said I would like it instead since I was hosting. Instead of her walking behind my guest and give it to me, she handed it to me across from him, sort of shoveling it by his nose. A major faux pas!
