   The food was delicious. We all had something different and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Our server, Jeff, was engaging and well-versed on the menu item and daily specials. We sat outside. The slight breeze felt wonderful. We have dined at Pueo’s 4 times now on various trips. We definitely will be back.

   The food was good and the service excellent, but the prices are way too high for what you get. The best bargain is the pizza, which was quite good

   My wife and I are full-time Big Island residents and frequent all of the island's fine-dining establishments; Pueo's is definitely one of these! Pueo's consistently offers some of the island's best food. The menu is Italian with dishes created using local ingredients. The results are always delicious. In addition to the normal menu, there are always tasty nightly specials to choose from. The service is always friendly and attentive. Last night, one of Pueo's new servers Adel assisted us. Adel was very knowledgeable, helpful and is a great addition to the Pueo's staff!

   Wonderful dinner. We sat on the patio and saw a beautiful sunset. Our waitress, Courtney, was fantastic!

   From the moment we were led to our “chef’s” table, our experience at Pueo’s Osteria was outstanding. Our server, Adele, was so knowledgeable and friendly. We shared the delicious burrata caprese salad with imported burrata from Italy, local tomatoes, pesto, and glazed pistachios. It was a delightful dish that tantalized our tastebuds! I had the gnocchi with short rib sugo. The boneless pieces of short rib melted in my mouth, so flavorful and the handmade gnocchi were fluffy soft pillows. We watched the chef expertly prepare the gnocchi through our window. He was likewise friendly and answered our questions, and even gave us the recipe for the gnocchi. My husband had the radiatore pasta with assorted local mushrooms in a pink vodka sauce that was likewise divine and flavorful. The pasta chef gave us a container of radiatore to cook at home as a present for our 40th anniversary, along with a card signed by the staff. Dessert was pistachio cannoli and chocolate hazelnut torte, both of which were so delicious and professionally prepared. This was our third visit to Pueo’s Osteria, and it has always been an outstanding and magical experience, both from a culinary and service perspective. It is hands down our favorite Italian restaurant anywhere in the U.S. Reservations highly recommended.

   They relocated from a ‘bustling, cozy, trattoria type’ space, across the street to a strip mall.and it feels it. Food and services just as good.
